Phil Collins Take A Look At Me Now Retrospective Reissue Campaign release

Entirely curated and compiled by Collins himself, this idea for the Take A Look At Me Now concept is to examine how his songs have evolved over time, with the majority of the additional content throughout the series focused on live versions of the tracks. By contrasting the original studio versions of the material with later performances, the series demonstrates how Collins' songs take on a life of their own once they're freed from the confines of the studio. Vinyl boxed which compiles 180gm vinyl editions of both Face Value and Both Sides together.

    The Essential Going Back

    Remastered by Nick Davis

I decided to call this version of 'Going Back' 'The Essential Going Back,' Phil explained. In retrospect, I included too much music on the original version, and I believe that too much is not always a good thing. Hence this trimmed down selection of my favorite Motown songs.

Originally released in 2010, Going Back was Phil Collins' first studio album since 2002 and saw him back at #1 on the charts. This album was a personal labor of love project that found him faithfully recreating the soul gems that played such an influential role in his musical life.

This is one of the last releases in Collins' Take A Look At Me Now series. Each album in the series has been remastered by Grammy-nominated Nick Davis. Each album features a bold artwork concept in which Collins has recreated his poses from the original album covers with new photography that was shot in the present day.

This will be released as 180 gram heavyweight audiophile vinyl of the remastered album.

    Yuyay Jap'ina Tapes

In 1949, Luzmila Carpio was born in the rural town of Qala Qala, Bolivia. It was there
that her earliest musical experiences- and the genesis of her unique voice-shaped her
decades-long career writing and performing Quechua music. In Bolivia, though more
than 36 indigenous languages are spoken by nearly 40 percent of the population, the
only officially recognized language of state was Spanish until September of 2000. Thus,
for much of the 20th century, Quechua populations were concentrated in rural areas,
often ignored by those in urban centers of political power.

The social, political and economic stigma that came with identifying as Quechua was
keenly felt throughout Luzmila's formative years, though the tide began to shift in the late
1960s. At age 15, Luzmila joined the group Los Provincianos and has continued to make
music ever since. Her distinctive musical style comes from her impossibly high upper register
that oftentimes mingles so closely with the timbre of a quena flute:

"In my community, among us, we sing like that-very high. It's the tradition in our
area that I further developed while trying other styles or ranges as my voice
allowed. My mother would say that by singing that way we would safeguard
the voice of the little girl, and that the world would welcome us. It's attributed
to Pacha Mama, Mother Earth "

In October of 1992, Luzmila began working with UNICEF on the Yuyay Jap'ina campaign
for adult literacy. The goal of the project was to increase Quechua and Spanish
language literacy amongst Quechua-speaking populations. The designers of the Yuyay
Jap'ina project commissioned recordings by Luzmila. that featured local musicians performing
both traditional Quechua songs and those specially composed by Luzmila. Cassettes
were then played in libraries and learning centers and distributed for free in participant
villages. In keeping with the core mission of the literacy campaign, written song lyrics accompanied
the tapes in both Quechua and Spanish.

Many of the songs take a pedagogical approach; they testify to the importance of clean
drinking water (Ch'uwa yaku kawsaypuni, "Crystal Clear Water Is Life"), the self-actualizing
power of literacy (Riqsisqa kasunchik, "We Will Be Recognized"), and the selfassertion
of women (Warmikuna yupay-chasqapuni kasunchik, "Women, We Have To Be
Respected"). But looking at the Yuyay Jap'ina tapes as a set of instructional songs would
be only the narrowest interpretation. Taken in context, the songs are a bold celebration
    of language and culture.

Luzmila Carpio currently lives in Paris and continues to write and perform her songs
    around the world.

    Dance Into The Light

1996's Dance Into The Light presented a flavor of the unexpected as elements of world music came to the fore, most notably with flourishes of Afrobeat-styled percussion on several tracks. Vinyl Cut By Matt Colton At Alchemy Mastering, Mastered By Tony Cousins At Metropolis And Overseen By Peter's Main Sound Engineer Richard Chappell

Produced by Steve Lillywhite this third album saw Peter change his writing style; now the rhythm came before the melody and the songs were built up on top of the rhythmic sequences. The album delivered a top 5 UK single in Games Without Frontiers and Peter's first overtly political song in the shape of totemic closer Biko. It also features notable contributions from Kate Bush, Paul Weller, Phil Collins and David Rhodes. Half-Speed Remastered and cut to lacquers at 33RPM, on heavyweight LP. Vinyl cut by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering, mastered by Tony Cousins at Metropolis and overseen by Peter's main sound engineer Richard Chappell. These albums really have never sounded so good! Hello, I Must Be Going

Initially released in 1982, Collins' second album Hello, I Must Be Going! focused on a more organically produced sound than his debut, with lyrics on tracks such as I Don't Care Anymore and Thru These Walls providing a darker thematic core. By contrast, the album's biggest hit was Collins' upbeat interpretation of The Supremes' You Can't Hurry Love, which became his first solo #1 single. Hello, I Must Be Going! itself peaked at #2, and Collins would soon earn his first Grammy® and Brit Award nominations.

Half-Speed Remastered And Cut To Lacquers At 33 RPM On Heavyweight LP

Vinyl Cut By Matt Colton At Alchemy Mastering, Mastered By Tony Cousins At Metropolis And Overseen By Peter's Main Sound Engineer Richard Chappell

Recorded in the Netherlands and New York City, Peter's second solo album saw Robert Fripp promoted to the role of producer. The album was released in June 1978. Fripp continued to feed Peter's growing fascination with electronics and the resulting album is denser and more experimental than the debut. They also look amazing with the gatefold sleeves utilizing imagery from the initial release, sourced and re-scanned from original artwork.

Numbered Limited Edition- Only 10,000 Worldwide

Having left Genesis in the summer of 1976, Peter's first solo album arrived in February 1977. He was 26. With legendary producer Bob Ezrin taking charge, the intention was to make a more direct and tougher record: something different from what had gone before. The record also provided one of Peter's most recognisable songs in the shape of Solsbury Hill. Half-Speed Remastered and cut to lacquers at 45RPM, across two heavyweight LPs to deliver maximum dynamic sound range. Vinyl cut by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering, mastered by Tony Cousins at Metropolis and overseen by Peter's main sound engineer Richard Chappell. These albums really have never sounded so good! Co-produced by Peter and David Lord this is the first album where Peter really immersed himself in the music of distant lands and cultures. It was also his first fully digital recording. These two elements created a deeply effective soldering-together of futurism and generations-old tradition. The single Shock The Monkey became Peter's first top 30 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Half-Speed Remastered and cut to lacquers at 45RPM, across two heavyweight LPs to deliver maximum dynamic sound range. Genesis

L.A. rapper Domo Genesis has released his official debut album Genesis. Despite big time appearances from Wiz, Juicy J, Anderson .Paak and more, the former Odd Future rapper manages to put his own personality on center stage for his first attempt at a major label project.

The first single from the album, "Dapper" with Anderson .Paak, showed a new, groovier side of Domo that wasn't always apparent on his previous tapes. In the YouTube description of the video he wrote, "Thanks for the love, its been awhile but im finally ready to give my honest self."

Songs like "Awkward Groove" and "Wanderer" show his vulnerable charm. Coming from the violent explosion that was Odd Future, MCs like Doms and Earl have been adjusting to the aftermath in their own unique ways.

The production is especially lush and enveloping. Tyler produced "Go (Gas)" and perhaps more, but it's more impressive that he's been able to build a nice brand for Odd Future Records with himself, Domo and The Internet.

The Original LP Now On 180 Gram Vinyl!

    Pressed At RTI

    Mastered From The Original Reels

One of the most remarkable unheard albums of 1969, Genesis, the sole release by San Francisco-based sisters Wendy and Bonnie Flower, has emerged as an acclaimed pop-psych touchstone. Brimming with melodic confections and laced with radiant, sisterly harmonies, the set's breezy Brazilian splashes and soft-rock strains convey a sophistication that belies the artists' tender ages (Wendy, 17; Bonnie, 13). The album has grown over the years in importance, and has influenced a generation of psychedelic pioneers, from Broadcast to Stereolab to Welsh rockers Super Furry Animals ( who sampled the duo on their hit hello Sunshine) This 180 gram single-LP edition is pressed at RTI and is an exact replica of the original 1969 pressing, with fully restored cover art and incredible sonics mastered from the original reels.

    Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)

Originally released by Island Records in November 1974, 'Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)' picks up stylistically where its trailblazing predecessor 'Here Come The Warm Jets' left off earlier in that same year. Here, a more assured Eno is at the helm, enlisting the help of his friends The Winkies, former Roxy Music band members Phil Manzanera and Andy MacKay, Robert Wyatt from Soft Machine and Phil Collins of Genesis / Brand X.
