    Reservoir Dogs

    20th Anniversary Edition!

Reservoir Dogs is the pulp novel I always wanted to write. Although the story is very much present day, it has a '50s feel but I used music from the '70s. In one scene, the audience learns that a local radio station is hosting a Super 70s weekend and that's why I am using and referencing the bubblegum music that was popular during that period. I found that the music was a terrific counterpoint to the action on the screen. -Quentin Tarantino

    Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof Soundtrack

    Daredevil, cult-film hero-directors
    Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp
Fiction, Kill Bill) and Robert Rodriguez
(Sin City, From Dusk Till Dawn, Desperado)
have teamed up for Grindhouse, their
    double-feature homage to the '60s, '70s
    and '80s B-movie exploitation genres.
    Reviving original tracks from those
decades and more, the soundtrack album
    for Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof
reaches back with the same hip, offbeat
attitude that has helped make Tarantino
and Rodriguez two of the most admired

    Heretic Pride

The Mountain Goats have recorded four fine albums that have established them as a genuine cult phenomenon and confirmed John Darnielle's status as one of the finest lyricists of his generation. Heretic Pride is a suite of songs about mythical creatures, imaginary cults, slasher films, and pulp fiction novelists. Here, Darnielle has also come up with some of the most anthemic, impassioned, and downright catchy songs of his career. It's rare to come across such specific and purposeful prose in modern pop. But, alongside Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst and the Decemberists' Colin Meloy, John Darnielle is helping bring fine lyric writing back to life - NY Daily News.

    Oedipus Schomedipus

Barry Adamson's work as a bassist for Magazine and
Nick Cave's Bad Seeds gave little indication of the
complex, cinematic works he has composed as a solo
    artist.

After leaving the Bad Seeds in 1987, Adamson
decided to follow the path of film composers like John
Barry, Ennio Morricone, and Bernard Herrmann,
whose work had intrigued him since childhood.
After some releases with more of a beat-heavy pop
feel, Adamson moved back into the land of noirish
soundtrack with the release of 1996's Oedipus
    Schmoedipus.

Nick Cave adds a guest vocal to (and co-writes) "The
Sweetest Embrace"; Pulp's Jarvis Cocker can be
heard on the co-written "Set the Controls for the Heart
of the Pelvis". Adamson's skill in layering and devising
unusual sound textures still qualifies him as one of
experimental rock's more imaginative composers and
producers. With this reissue, Oedipus Schmoedipus is
being released on vinyl for the first time.

    The Making Of

The Bohicas debut album The Making Of lands blow after blow. A barrage of killer hooks, razor blade riffs and choruses that slap you in the face, grab your hand and lead you onto the dance floor. All shot through with pulp imagery torn from the pages of a graphic novel. Their story begins in Essex where as schoolmates they first came together over a love of The Beatles, The Kinks, Ray Charles and the new wave of guitar bands who emerged at the start of the century after the scrag ends of Britpop had finally limped off. The album was was produced by Mark Rankin (Queens Of The Stone Age, Bombay Bicycle Club), Chris 'Merrick' Hughes (Tears For Fears, Adam And The Ants) and Oli Bayston (Toy, Boxed In). 20th Century Women (Music From The Motion Picture)

Director Mike Mills first made his mark on the silver screen with the Academy Award-winning film Beginners, but his back catalog is also filled with a number of music videos, including those for songs by Everything But The Girl ("Temperamental"), Moby ("Run On"), Air ("All I Need"), Mansun ("Legacy"), Pulp ("Party Hard"), and Air ("Sexy Boy"). His appreciation of music also extends to the soundtracks of his films, and with 20TH CENTURY WOMEN, his latest cinematic endeavor, he's managed to put together one of the most musically diverse compilations in recent memory.

This is not praise derived from a desire to play up new product. This is simply the reality of the situation. How else to describe a compilation which sandwiches "Basin Street Blues," by Louis Armstrong & His Hot Five between tracks by Talking Heads and The Raincoats? We're talking about a musical landscape which finds Fred Astaire, Benny Goodman, and Rudy Vallee rubbing elbows with Siouxsie and the Banshees, Devo, and the Buzzcocks. It shouldn't work, and yet somehow it does.

    Hit It Or Quit It

25th Anniversary Reissue Of Girl Trouble's 1988 Debut LP

Featuring Two Bonus Tracks Exclusive To This Release, "White Lightning" And "Shakin' All Over."

Hit It Or Quit It Was Originally A Co-Release Between K And Sub Pop, And It Was The First Full-length That Sub Pop Ever Released.

Tacoma, Washington, 1988: A town where hazardous waste and
pulp mill fumes smelled like a breath of fresh air, old buildings were
being leveled in order to revitalize a dying downtown, forests and
farmlands were giving way to industrial parks and shopping malls, a
cultural event was wrestling at the Tacoma Dome, and Girl Trouble
could be found practicing with their plywood speaker cabinets and a
drum set purchased for $70 from the Sears surplus store in a shed
beside Bon and Kahuna's parent's house, where they still practice
    today.

This reissue of Girl Trouble's debut album, Hit It Or Quit It [KLP229],
includes eleven original songs, one Northwest classic (Steppin'
Out by Paul Revere & The Raiders), and two bonus tracks. To keep
the energy level up and the over-production level down, these songs
were recorded live with only an occasional added guitar or vocal
track. With the minimal pounding of Bon's drums, the steady cool of
Dale on bass, the buzzsaw scream from Kahuna's Ouija guitar, and
the rabid rock 'n' roll stylings of K.P. Kendall, Girl Trouble continues
playing throughout the Northwest, 30-plus years on.

So that's the story, kids. Use it or lose it. It's my way or the highway. Eat
it or wear it. Hit It or Quit It!

DALI ZENSOR 3 is the newest member of the award winning ZENSOR series. This brand new speaker is developed and built to sound much larger than it actually is. Using a 7" woofer based on the technology from the ZENSOR 7 and the tweeter module from the ZENSOR 1, the ZENSOR 3 is able to recreate the high frequencies, the mid range and the low bass in the best possible way..

We have designed the cabinet so that it is large enough to deliver a sufficient, controlled and deep bass and yet is small enough to be placed on a shelf or floor stand.

The woofer cones are made from a blend of fine grained paper pulp reinforced with wood fibres. This mix makes the cones stiff and light which ensures that every micro detail in the signal is reproduced unfiltered.

The 7" woofer increases the surface area by 15% compared to a 6½" woofer and this helps the ZENSOR 3 to deliver the same sound pressure with much less cone excursion, leading to an effortless reproduction of the dynamics in the music.

With a 4 layer voice coil magnet motor system the ZENSOR 3 produces an impressive 17% more B/L compared with speakers using the common 2 layer voice coil. A copper clad aluminum wire ensures optimal reproduction in the mid range, and the power of the magnet motor keep the bass controlled and precise.

The soft dome tweeter module has over and over again proved its ability to deliver a rich and detailed sound, and the module used in the ZENSOR 3 is no exception - delivering an extended frequency response with wide dispersion and low coloration.

    Murder Ballads

Nick Cave's been writing songs about killing and other evil things since he first surfaced in 1980 as the Birthday Party's pale, skinny, goth-punk Jim Morrison. But the murder ballads that provide this set's title are different, tantalizingly deliberate. Sure, there's plenty of trademark Cave here, but Murder Ballads is a fascinating concept album that uses the narrative ballad form of the English folk tradition to tell of murder: random deaths, passion crimes, and killing sprees, all in one package. Cave clearly thrives in this genre, and he produces some of his sharpest and most facile writing to date. Song of Joy, a genuinely scary campfire mystery of a murdered family and an unnamed killer, chillingly weaves clues into the lyrics, while Where the Wild Roses Grow is a narrative duet in which killer (Cave) and victim (pop star Kylie Minogue) reveal parallel tales. Cave even shows his knack for adaptation on Bob Dylan's Death Is Not the End: he recontextualizes a song of heavenly comfort into a sort of zombie We Are the World (featuring Minogue, PJ Harvey, Shane MacGowan, and others) in which death is not the end of pain and suffering. Above all, Murder Ballads should be heard as a work of pulp fiction--as sensationally funny as it is harrowing. The already violent traditional song Stagger Lee becomes gangsta folk, so ridiculously packed with obscenity and brutality it would make the Geto Boys cringe. And Cave's (unintentional?) point to would-be censors--that bad-ass songs existed long before rappers polluted the airways--should not be missed. --Roni Sarig

Get busy living or get busy dying

1994 proved to be an amazing good year for movie theaters, as these classic films saw the light of day; Pulp Fiction, Lion King, Forrest Gump, Natural Born Killers and The Shawshank Redemption.

The Shawshank Redemption tells the story of Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), a banker who is sentenced to life in Shawshank State Penitentiary for the murder of his wife and her lover, despite his claims of innocence. During his time at the prison, he befriends a fellow inmate, Ellis Boyd Red Redding (Morgan Freeman), and finds himself protected by the guards after the warden begins using him in his money-laundering operation.

The film received multiple award nominations (including seven Oscar nominations) and highly positive reviews from critics for its acting, story, and realism. It is considered to be one of the greatest films of the 90s. Readers of Empire magazine voted the film as the best film of the 90s, and it placed number 4 on Empire's list of The 500 Greatest Movies of All Time in 2008. In March 2011, the film was voted by BBC Radio 1 listeners as their favorite film of all time. The Shawshank Redemption is the highest-rated movie on IMDB with an average star count of 9.3, closely followed by The Godfather.

The Shawshank Redemption score was composed by multiple (Grammy) award winner Thomas Newman. The score was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Score in 1994, which was Newman's first Oscar nomination.

A central scene in the film features the soprano Letter Duet (Canzonetta sull'aria) from Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, which is included on the soundtrack. Original songs by Hank Williams and The Inkspots are included as well.

" a spacey, smoldering update on '90s R&B, and a voice that's high and fluttery and commanding "

    -Pitchfork

"NAO is one of those artists that is pushing forth an exciting new era of R&B and soul."

    -Buzzfeed

NAO's debut album For All We Know will be released via RCA Records and is set to be one of the defining records of 2016.

Her emergence as one of the most adored new singers of the year has been as fluid and elegant as one of her vocal phrases. Now she has delivered her highly anticipated debut For All We Know, a transcendent set of 18 songs. Woozy, spacey funk, shot through with her effortless breath-taking toplines, part neo-soul, part UK bass, part funk rock - all at a sensual, stepping R&B pace.

The record features fan favorites "Girlfriend," "Inhale Exhale," "Bad Blood" and "Fool To Love" as well as incredible unheard tracks like "Trophy" - where NAO collaborates with A.K. Paul again - and "Get To Know Ya" co-produced by XL Recordings' Jungle. Other co-producers (NAO is credited as producer on 17 of the 18 tracks) include her good friends John Calvert ("In The Morning," "Blue Wine," "We Don't Give A"), GRADES ("Bad Blood," "Fool To Love," "Inhale Exhale," "Girlfriend") and LOXE ("Adore You," "Give Me A Little").

NAO grew up in South Woodford, East London, listening to gospel in her local Evangelical church, her brother's jungle UK garage and her sister's '90s and '00s R&B - going on to study at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She starting writing songs in her mid-twenties after a few years of teaching school kids to sing and doing backing vocal gigs for the likes of Pulp and Kwabs.

Inspired by Little Dragon, the ideas and words flowed, and she soon began working on her own songs, resulting in her 2014 debut EP, So Good. The EP's title track, made with A.K. Paul, whizzed around the world accumulating millions of plays on Soundcloud. NAO's 2015 follow-up EP, February 15, contained the single "Zillionaire" which was featured in a Samsung Galaxy commercial. By January 2016 she placed third in the high-profile BBC Sound Poll and her incredible year continues with a recent performance on Later with Jools Holland, the cover of The Guardian and rave reviews from Fader, Essence, Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly, and more.

    Homesick

Before digging into the steely, handcrafted technoisms of Homesick, you need to
know a few things about Charles Du , the Bay Area artist behind Matrixxman.
Perhaps most importantly, he is a dedicated futurist-quick to name Google's
director of engineering, Ray Kurzweil, as a major personal inspiration, and prone to
contemplating artificial intelligence and a true post-corporeal reality. He's also a
voracious information junkie, soaking up government conspiracies and
contemporary science-fiction like a proper X-Files fanatic. These cultural reference
points are as integral to the background of Homesick as Detroit, Chicago, and
Berlin's musical legacies. Across the record's versatile tracklist, Matrixxman uses
the language of machines and dancefloors like a hungry pulp novelist, weaving
together his divergent narratives and characters under one sprawling dystopian
    sky.

If you listened to house and techno in 2014, you've undoubtedly heard the name
Matrixxman. The guy has been on a prolific tear since debuting his project in 2013,
having issued no fewer than 12 cold-ass futuristic releases and taken his
genre-blurring DJ sets around the world in under two years. But his story reaches
much further into the past: back to being a drum & bass-obsessed teenager in the
late '90s, back to when Du 's best friend changed his life with a Juan Atkins mix
CD in 2001, back to producing for hotly tipped MCs like Le1f, Ty Dolla Sign, and YG.
Matrixxman is already a venerable pro with workmanlike constitution, to say the
least, and yet his debut album has only just materialized.

My obsession with the darker sides of humanity's exploits gone awry is secondary
to the more important matter at heart: evolutionary transcendence, Matrixxman
explains. And his focus on cybernetic themes shines through the music. Emergent
AI, interplanetary travel, neuroenhancement drugs, incredible opulence
juxtaposed with abject poverty, leaving physical form and existing as data-Homesick
distills the concepts into thick acid lines, brawny 909 patterns, tonal contrasts,
dynamic aesthetics, and viscous pads steeped in digital ephemera. It begins with
Necronomicon, a massive black cloud of noxious ambience looming over our
story, and ends on the astral mysticism of Earth Like Conditions. Yes, there is an
arc built into Homesick, and the sci-fi epic it illustrates seizes your undivided
    attention.

Even the tracklist speaks volumes to the record's music and narrative-from the
enhanced motorik systems of Augmented and Network Failure's cognitive
dissonance, to the dark hedonism in Opium Den and the drum machine violence
that drives Switchblade. As Matrixxman says himself, The titles correlate to
distinct, separate scenes. And those visuals just about come alive on tracks like
Packard Plant-a whirring, windswept homage to the desolate Detroit
landmark-or the album's haunted and distant centerpiece, Annika's Theme. Du
is quick to share Annika's identity: She's an incredibly gifted neuroscientist,
pursuing cutting-edge research in fields that will have a profound impact on
humanity. But what exactly she accomplishes and where she goes is unexplained.
Homesick outlines the cues needed to follow along, careful to leave room for us to
    fill in the details.

Matrixxman uses his debut album to evoke visions of a not-too-distant-future with
music made both for the dancefloor and the early morning zone-outs that follow.
These are the real world applications of Homesick, though Du comes to it all from
an entirely di erent mindset. We will have the technological capability to fully
map out a human brain in its entirety within 30 years, he starts. The implications
of such a possibility are deep and far reaching. We will be crossing a rubicon
towards a new phase in human consciousness. I am one person that is prepared to
take that step. Once you emerge on the other side of Homesick, it seems possible
    that Matrixxman already has.

    Room 29

Compelling new Deutsche Grammophon album Room 29, a unique collaboration between Jarvis Cocker and Chilly Gonzales, asks what the ghosts of Hollywood's golden age can tell us about how we came to be where we are today.

Standing at the west end of Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard, the Chateau Marmont hotel has seen many a famous and infamous guest pass through its doors since it opened in 1929. A 2012 stay in one of its second-floor rooms inspired British lyricist and singer Jarvis Cocker to look into its history and led to this collaborative project with multi-faceted Canadian pianist and composer Chilly Gonzales. Room 29, a 21st-century song cycle, is set for release on Deutsche Grammophon Gonzales' score and Cocker's lyrics conjure up the lives of some of Room 29's previous occupants, as well as shining a light on the glittering fantasy and often bleak reality of Hollywood.

"If you must get in trouble, do it at the Chateau Marmont," noted Harry Cohn, founder of Columbia Pictures, in 1939. Jarvis Cocker was intrigued by the hotel's links to the history of the film industry. He found the key to creativity in the fact that Room 29 contained a baby-grand piano. What if it could "sing" of the life stories and events it had witnessed? The idea also ignited Chilly Gonzales's imagination, and both artists embarked on a three-year journey of artistic discovery, unearthing details about guests such as Jean Harlow, Mark Twain's daughter Clara, and Los Angeles mobster Meyer Cohen, alias "Mickey the Haberdasher". As well as dramatizing some of those stories, their songs capture both the essential loneliness of the hotel room and the ways in which moving images have "moved" people in ways they don't quite understand. Gonzales and Cocker have drawn on the 19th-century model of the song cycle for a structure capable of containing the broad sweep of emotions and states of mind elicited by the real and imaginary dramas of one unusual hotel suite. Room 29 emerges as the metaphor for a place within each of us, home to our deepest desires and fantasies.

Since moving to Germany in the late 1990s, Chilly Gonzales has pursued a breathtaking range of musical projects, spanning everything from rap and experimental rock to hip hop and Satie-inspired minimalism. The classically trained pianist collaborated with the Kaiser Quartett on his last solo album, Chambers, attracting critical acclaim to its neo-Romantic reflections on chamber music in the age of pop. The Hamburg-based string quartet plays a prominent part in Room 29, providing a sonorous tonal complement to Gonzales' piano writing and accompanying Jarvis Cocker's vocals. Lead singer and primary lyricist of Pulp for over 30 years, on and off, Cocker has also released two solo albums, and developed a successful broadcasting career, presenting both Jarvis Cocker's Sunday Service on BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 4's Wireless Nights.

Anthonie Tonnon first came to attention in his home country with the band Tono and the Finance Company. The band released two Eps and the full-length Up Here For Dancing. With dry wit and observational lyrics that recalled The Smiths and Pulp, Tonnon sang of urban life in New Zealand's cities. Anti-gentrification anthem "Marion Bates Realty" caught the attention of Beirut, who invited the band on their 2012 New Zealand tour. In 2013, Anthonie Tonnon began touring under his own name, influenced by stage techniques from the comedy and theatre worlds as much as formative influences like Jonathan Richman and Jens Lekman. He was recently named in Billboard's "list of New Zealand acts you need to know about."

Florence Welch, an art-school dropout from South London, first gained fame at home with two bombastic singles; Kiss With A Fist and Dog Days Are Over. Not two years after she was discovered while singing Etta James in a club bathroom, she was awarded the 2009 Brit Awards Critics' Choice. She found herself wowing attendee's with her incredible live performance and her now legendary set of pipes.

Her debut album is co-produced by Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Maximo Park), James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Last Shadow Puppets) and Steve Mackay (PULP, M.I.A), and has already amassed a hefty amount of critical acclaim in the UK. Lungs is made of harps, choirs, drums, quartets, strange electronic wailing, while incorporating countless other instruments and emotions along the way.

The songs are full of Gothic imagery and fairytale flights of fantasy. Her seven-piece band includes long-term collaborators; Rob Ackroyd (guitar), Chris Hayden (drums), Isabella Summers (keyboards) and Tom Monger (harp). Lungs was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize as one of the 12 best albums to be released in the UK this year.

Kitty has a playfulness and humour in her lyrics that I envy very much, and I know it won't be long until the rest of the world discovers many other things to love about her too. Finn Andrews (The Veils) // Lobby Star is Kitty Finer's debut EP, recorded at Bark studio, London and engineered/co-produced by Brian O'Shaughnessy (Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine). Guest musicians on the EP include Kitty's father Jem Finer alongside his own band mates Andrew Ranken and Darryl Hunt of The Pogues, Debsey Wykes (Dolly Mixture, Coming Up Roses and St Etienne) Finn Andrews (The Veils) and brass provided by Kitty's old school friends The JJ Horns. LOBBY STAR is an introduction to the worldly Londoner, Kitty Finer. These six tracks set the tone and welcome you to her sound which crosses genres, spans time, travels the world and lands on your decks today. Influenced by her mother's records (Wreckless Eric, The Ramones, The Nips, Kirsty MacColl, The Ronettes, DollyMixture, John Cooper Clarke, Blondie, Pulp, Peaches and Bongwater) Kitty Finer arrives at a sound that combines the soul, pop, punk, garage rock and 60s Girl band influences.

    I Can Spin A Rainbow

I CAN SPIN A RAINBOW is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for Amanda Palmer, an avowed fan of Edward Ka-Spel and the Legendary Pink Dots since discovering their psycho-theatrical, multi-textural work in her teens. As noted in her best-selling 2014 memoir, The Art of Asking, the LPD have long been an inspiration to Palmer, their deeply connected relationship with fans as important to her life and work as their fearless autonomy and impossible-to-pigeonhole musical approach.

The two musicians first met in 1992 when Palmer, then 16, attended a Legendary Pink Dots show in her hometown of Boston. In 1995, having found that the Pink Dots were looking for lodging with fans to save money on the road, Palmer hosted five members of the band and crew at her childhood home. Ten years later, Palmer's internationally acclaimed punk cabaret duo, The Dresden Dolls, had achieved enough success that they were able to invite the Dots to support them on a German tour, and it was then that Palmer and Ka-Spel vowed to carve out time to collaborate on an original recording. A decade passed and in July 2015 a very pregnant Palmer flew to London to start the long-discussed project but was informed on the first day of recording that her dear friend Anthony was losing his battle with cancer and had been given less than a week to live. Heartbroken, she assured Ka-Spel she would be back within the year. Indeed Palmer made good on her promise, returning in the spring of 2016 with her eight-month-old son, Anthony, in tow.

Palmer and Ka-Spel's search for a London recording studio was interrupted by an incredibly generous offer from Palmer's friend Imogen Heap, who suggested they make use of her Essex home recording studio, The Hideaway, conveniently located near Ka-Spel's own home in Hornchurch. With Palmer traveling between London, Hornchurch, and Heap's home studio, the pair spent just under a month composing and cutting an album entirely from scratch.

Recorded largely on Ka-Spel's computer, I CAN SPIN A RAINBOW is a truly collaborative effort, "a spiritual experience," says Palmer, in which both artists' stories, song fragments, poems, and lyrics became wholly meshed with loops, melancholy piano playing, melodic beds, and strange rhythms. The results range from the enchantingly minimal "The Clock at the Back of the Cage" and the album-opening "Pulp Fiction," mysterious and strange with a luxurious theatricality that conjures both of its creators' prior oeuvres while also opening a curtain into a heretofore unheard shared sonic world. Sensing the need for strings, the pair enlisted frequent LPD collaborator Patrick Q Wright, who contributed violin tracks from his studio in Italy. Alexis Michallek, Heap's longtime studio assistant, contributes singing saw to "Beyond The Beach."

"We merged our songwriting heads and poetic worlds to make a new universe," Palmer says. "We would sit in Imogen's house drinking cups of tea, bemoaning the state of the upcoming election, binge drinking in the UK, the refugee crisis, our internet addictions, frightening news we had read, our relationships and then we'd compost all of the ingredients of our fears and conversations into song form. The Rainbow metaphor - which is also a nod to the 'spinning beach ball of death' on a Mac - was a wide-open image that kept popping up as a recurring theme on the record. It's both dark and light at the same time. To me, the songs are simultaneously frightening and comforting, like a thunderstorm heard from a living room."

"Making this record with Amanda felt a little like discovering a twin you didn't know you had," says Ka-Spel, "until a mysterious email lands in your inbox at a particularly auspicious moment. Some things are just meant to be "

Yann Tiersen, already a major performer in his native France and throughout Europe, makes his ANTIâ€and official U.S. debut with Dust Lane. Best known here for his soundtracks for arthouse hits Amelie and Goodbye Lenin, Tiersen is a classically trained composer, whose arresting scores combine folk song, French impressionism, and avant-garde elements into vast emotional landscapes. For Dust Lane, Tiersen has created a cinematic orchestral pop record that recalls the swagger of classic Serge Gainsbourg, the bravura of early Eno, and the faded musicâ€hall grandeur of Brits like Pulp and Divine Comedy. Veering from sunny folk inspired songs to full choir workouts, Dust Lane is ambitious in the way albums used to be in the early '70s: an auspicious U.S. arrival for a new artist.

Three Color Mix Of Blue, White And Black That Matches The Blue-Grey Cover Artwork

GETAWAY, The Launderettes fourth studio album and first for Wicked Cool is inspired by the hardboiled pulp novel The Killer Inside Me (1952) by Jim Thompson. The protagonist of the novel gets away with living a double life as a serial killer, and
the book has developed a cult following because
the story is told through the eyes of a twisted,
    sadistic psychopath.

The Launderettes use GETAWAY as a means to end
the story differently. The band returns to the desert to explore the good and evil in everyone, sharing the struggle of choosing between wrong and right.

GETAWAY has benefited from a Wicked long lead plan. FOUR singles have been featured as Coolest Songs in the World on The Underground Garage, and four 7" vinyl have been released commercially. The Launderettes have enjoyed previous success with having their music featured in commercials
(Nike), TV (Camp, MTV), and film (Switched at Birth). GETAWAY is the #1 Wicked Cool priority for licensing in the next 12 months, with the band already confirmed for an appearance on Lilyhammer (Netflix, January 2014), performing their next
