Introducing Darlene LoveGuitar great/artist/producer/E Street Band icon Stevie Van Zandt arranged and produced the album, enlisting a star-studded cast to contribute songs to Love's return, including Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Van Zandt, Jim Webb, Linda Perry, Desmond Child, Joan Jett, and legendary songwriting team Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, who for more than five decades have reigned as one of the most influential songwriting duos in history.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love's album features all new recordings with her signature dynamic vocal delivery that the New York Times has hailed as "a thunderbolt voice embedded in the history of rock n' roll " and Rolling Stone has called "a rare instrument sturdy enough to vault over Phil Spector's 'Wall of Sound.'"
Love's five-decade career spans some of the greatest signature moments in music. As depicted in the Academy Award and Grammy winning documentary "20 Feet From Stardom," Love became one of the most sought-after background singers in music history, recording with Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, The Righteous Brothers, and dozens of other vocal giants throughout her career. Her early work with iconic producer Phil Spector on songs such as the pioneering "He's A Rebel," "He's Sure The Boy I Love," and "Why Do Lover's Break Each Other's Hearts," would garner her legend status.LP 1

Celebrate The New Year With Their Classic # 1 Mega Platinum Debut Album
First Time Audiophile Vinyl Release
Mastered Impeccably From The Authorized & Original1978 Atlantic Records Tapes By Joe "i Got The Blues" Reagoso
After their phenomenal success on Saturday Night Live and a number of smash comedy movies already in
their resume, John Belushi and Dan Akroyd dove headfirst into their love of soul, blues and r & b and began
the Blues Brothers duo, netting them a number one album, top hit singles, a box office smash and acclaim
from purists and blues lovers from all over with their first LP, Briefcase Full Of Blues.
Recorded in 1978 at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles, the late great John Belushi and Dan
Akroyd opened a set before comedian and good friend Steve Martin. To the crowd's amazement, the duo
blasted them a blistering rock 'n' blues performance which was captured on tape for their first album Briefcase
Full Of Blues. They later appeared on SNL and the rest as they say is history, as this stunt became reality in no
time and thus began a short lived but amazing piece of rock and blues history.
Released during the holiday season, the album became a number one smash and netted two smash singles
with the classic nod to the Stax sound with Sam & Dave's "Soul Man" as well as the '50s doo wop
classic, "Rubber Biscuit."
With a stellar musician lineup of classic R & B and traditional blues purists like Steve Cropper and Duck
Dunn from Booker T. & The M.G.'s, Chess Records sideman to the stars Matt "Guitar " Murphy,
saxophone champion Tom Scott and a handful of New York City's finest on the reeds, rounded out with Paul
Shafer on keys, The Blues Brothers were a force to reckon with as their albums would go on to sell in the
millions making them one of the biggest bands in the late seventies into the eighties.
With a stunning set list of righteous blues and soulful interpretations, this masterpiece is filled with nonstop classics like the hard boppin' opener Hey Bartender, blues belters like Junior Wells' "Messin' With The
Kid" and Big Joe Turner's "Flip Flop Fly," plus southern rockers like Delbert McClinton's "'B" Movie Box Car
In addition to these legendary performances, this unique concert recording yielded more with powerhouses
like the smash I Don't Know, King Floyd's Groove Me, and the blues thriller Shot Gun Blues.

VoicesVoices on Numbered Limited Edition 180 Gram LP from Mobile Fidelity
1980 Set First of Duo's Record-Breaking Trilogy of Smash Albums
Includes Kiss on My List, You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin', You Make My Dreams, and Everytime You Go Away
Self-Produced Album Marks Pair's Transition Towards Fusion of Sleek Pop, Melodic New Wave, and Blue-Eyed Soul
Divine Sonics: Spacious, Polished Production Shines on Mobile Fidelity Reissue, Mastered from the Original Master Tapes
Daryl Hall has inferred that if Voices failed to catch fire, it would have likely signaled the end of he and John Oates' recording career together. Suffice it to say that the 1980 effort not only caught on-it established a production and songwriting template that would help largely define the decade. The album also propelled Hall and Oates into the mainstream and turned them into superstars, placing them at the top of the charts for a multi-year run during which the duo proved superior singers, master songwriters, and visionary producers.
Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed on 180 gram LP at RTI, Mobile Fidelity's reissue at last affords this pop classic an expansive, engaging, dynamic reach absent from all prior editions. Self-produced, the record's sonics were key to its success. As evidenced by the greater information and finer details found in this analog edition's grooves, the polished, sleek, and open sound works hand-in-hand with the arrangements. Hall and Oates' knack for stylish tones, instrumental placement, and edgy accents has never been clearer-literally or figuratively. This LP is nothing short of a game-changer.
By the dawn of the 1980s, Hall and Oates had already released more than a half-dozen albums and attached themselves to a folk-pop model they gradually took in blue-eyed soul directions. Hints of a pop/new wave/R&B amalgamation initially appear on 1979's X-Static, but only fully come into play with confidence, conviction, and commercial flair on Voices. Arriving upon a near-flawless fusion of dance grooves, soft rock rhythms, smooth vocals, romantic sentiments, catchy beats, and spotless hooks, the collaborators simultaneously crossed over into multiple markets and eradicated stylistic boundaries.
Rightly recognized for its four hit singles-the irresistible "Kiss on My List," building "You Make My Dreams," cover of the Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," and original rendition of the poignant "Every Time You Go Away," which Paul Young took to the top of the charts years later-Voices towers as both an 80s masterpiece and all-time pop classic.
Independent of the ubiquitous fare, the record holds up courtesy of the deep-album cuts. There isn't a weak note or false move to be found. Hall and Oates paint "United State" with uptempo assertiveness; "Big Kids" passes as first-rate new-wave rock; "Diddy Doo Wop (I Hear the Voices)" pays loving tribute to the duo's doo-wop influences; "Gotta Lotta Nerve (Perfect Perfect)" oozes emotional rawness. Their stage set, Hall and Oates would further advance their craft on Private Eyes and H20, also available from Mobile Fidelity.

Good God! Born Again Funk (Awaiting Repress)The Numero Groupes 2006 release Good God! A Gospel Funk Hymnal examined what seemed to be a conundrum: gospel singers performing pious gospel songs, and devoutly, but doing so amid hot, sweaty, earthy sounds drunk on the same moonshine downed by any blues singer thumbing his way up north from the Mississippi delta. If the central premise was to grapple with a ôfunkyö trend in gospel, forgive us for staring perhaps a bit too intently at the collision of sacred and profane we thought we saw on those LPs and 45s. This music was always sacred, and decidedly so.
Four years later, Numero returns with not quite a New Testament, rather a re-examination of a weighty tome. Born Again Funk lends new ears to a joyful strain of American
composers and performers unafraid of expressing their devotion with both inspiration and invention. They were faithful to a spirit, not to an ordained sound.

Smell Of FemaleRed Colored Vinyl
Released in 1983 after a lengthy court battle with IRS Records, Smell of Female originally contained just the first six songs. These, plus out-of-control ad-lib freakouts "Beautiful Gardens" and "She Said" (previously omitted due to legal restrictions) were recorded live at New Yorks famous Peppermint Lounge. There is nothing like the sound of The Cramps, and this set distills that cross of swamp water, moonshine and nitro down to a dangerous and unstable musical substance, captured live like a crazed animal. They rocked like few others could.
Additional bonus track "Surfin Dead" was recorded at A&M Studios in Hollywood and originally appeared on the 1984 soundtrack for Return of the Living Dead-when asked to write a "pop song" for the movie, The Cramps (by then a three-piece) threw into their cauldron a mix of Link Wray, Jan & Dean, Davie Allen, The Righteous Brothers, bongos, Phil Spector and eye of newt.1. Audition TapesAudition Tapes is venerable luminary of psychedelic grunge, T. Hardy Morris's debut solo album, released on Dangerbird Records.
Morris is best known for his work with Dead Confederate, a band that he co-founded and has recorded and toured with since 2006. More recently, Morris formed Diamond Rugs, the raggedly righteous gang of rockers that also includes members of Deer Tick, The Black Lips and Los Lobos. Morris took some time over the past year to write a collection of songs that reflect the best qualities of his group projects while also exploring entirely new sonic territories. Audition Tapes exposes Morris' considerable depth as a songwriter and taps into his vast experiences as a performer, having toured extensively over the past 6 years with the likes of the Meat Puppets, Dinosaur Jr., Deer Tick, Manchester Orchestra, Drive By Truckers and many more.
Audition Tapes was helmed by Cosmic Thug (Adam Landry and Justin Collins), the Nashville-based production duo behind the aforementioned Deer Tick, Diamond Rugs and Middle Brother projects. Hardy says of the making of the album, "For obvious reasons, I knew I wanted to record Audition Tapes onto tape, and preferably in a small studio, recorded as live as possible, late at night. So that's pretty much what we did over in Nashville."
Audition Tapes finds Morris abundantly inspired, oftentimes invoking the grand spirits of Elliot Smtih, Alex Chilton or fellow Georgian Vic Chesnutt. On songs such as "Quit Diggin", "Hard Stuff" and especially the gorgeous title track, listeners are treated to intimate, fragile performances, so informal that we are invited to hear creaks and count-offs, finger taps on guitar strings and other warm and extraneous studio noise.
The whole affair is so perfectly imperfect that you feel as if you've stumbled upon it all on your own - a hushed secret. Dangerbird Records founder Peter Walker said, "This is the kind of songwriting and performance that you can really lean into - the record cuts through any sort of pretense and nails you straight in the heart from its first breath."1. Santana IVSantana IV is the wildly anticipated studio album that reunites the revered early '70s lineup of guitar icon Carlos Santana (guitar, vocals), Gregg Rolie (keyboards, lead vocals), Neal Schon (guitar, vocals), Michael Carabello (percussion) and Michael Shrieve (drums). The album signifies the first time in 45 years - since 1971's multi-platinum classic Santana III - that the quintet has recorded together.
Santana IV features 16 all-new tracks written and produced by the band that burst with the same unparalleled energy and superlative musicianship that made Santana a pioneering force in world music and a household name across the globe. Joining the core Santana IV band in the studio are current Santana members Karl Perazzo (percussion) and Benny Rietveld (bass), with the legendary vocalist Ronald Isley guesting on two cuts.
The origins for the reunion go back several years, when Schon suggested that he and Carlos Santana record together. Santana liked the idea but went one better, proposing that they recruit Rolie, Shrieve and Carabello for what would be called Santana IV. After initial writing sessions and rehearsals took place in 2013, the group recorded throughout 2014 and 2015, amassing 16 spellbinding tracks that combined all their signature elements - Afro-Latin rhythms, soaring vocals, electrifying blues-psychedelic guitar solos, and irrepressibly jubilant percussion work - with widescreen hooks and melodies that will lodge themselves in the thicket of listeners' senses and stay there.
It was magical, Santana says. We didn't have to try to force the vibe - it was immense. >From there, we then needed to come up with a balance of songs and jams that people would immediately identify as Santana.
The band's signature sound arrives forcefully on the album opener Yambu, a righteously gritty and soulful stomper teeming with swirling B3 organ hooks and walloping guitar crunch.
The first single, Anywhere You Want to Go, is destined to storm the pantheon of Santana classics. Written by Gregg Rolie, it's a sexy, body-shaking winner and an unmistakable tip of the hat to the inescapable cha-cha/Latin jazz charms of Oye Como Va.
Ronald Isley (The Isley Brothers) is a special guest on two tracks. His vocals highlight the feverishly impassioned Latin-rock workout Love Makes the World Go Round and the hard-edged and funky Freedom in Your Mind. Guitar fans expecting fireworks from Santana and Schon will cherish Santana IV from front to back. All Aboard is a no-holds-barred guitar jam of the highest order, as is the slinky, soulful metal cruncher Caminando, which explodes with tectonic axe force. And on the unabashedly British blues-tinged Shake It, the two go toe to toe on not one but two extended solo runs that will have lovers of unhinged fretboard work rejoicing.
Carlos and I feel more connected than ever, says Schon. We get super-aggressive when we play, but also melodic and poetic. We have an incredible dialog with each other on our guitars.
Santana's recurring themes of love and tolerance are common threads throughout Santana IV, most dramatically on the epic tone poem album closer Forgiveness, a languid and breathtakingly gorgeous atmospheric groover.
Music fans familiar with the roaring lion artwork on Santana's 1969 debut album will instantly greet Heather Griffin-Vine's graphic for Santana IV as a gloriously realized update of that iconic image. I really think the music goes along with the cover, and vice versa, says Santana. It all fits together beautifully.
Few bands can pick up a musical dialog after 45 years apart, but on Santana IV each band member reaches a new level of virtuosity and communal intuition on a collection of songs that easily stands side-by-side with the group's treasured early work.
When you can go back and break new ground with joy and determination - and some whoop-ass energy - it gets you going, says Santana. I think we achieved something very rare. This music was screaming to come out of us. It wasn't about nostalgia. It was about passion.1. Yambu

Winners Never Quit (Pre-Order)Remastered
"Winners Never Quit (2000) is an odd fable of a corrupt, self-righteous politician and his sweeter but equally wayward brother. The opening song, Slow and Steady Wins the Race, lends this whole affair more weight than it really deserves, and it is easily the best song on the album. Bazan works up a primitive blast of rock & roll on a couple of the songs, which gives Pedro more musical variety; otherwise, Bazan keeps it to the spare amateur vision he employed so well on It's Hard to Find a Friend; not always for the best. An interesting album, spooky in spots, but other than the terrific Slow and Steady, this one's a curiosity.
- David Dwyer, Allmusic.com
Under the moniker of Pedro the Lion, Bazan creates melodic pop
in the vein of Bedhead, Hayden, and Sebadoh, with a lyrical focus
on relationships -- with both other people and God. In early 2006,
Bazan retired the Pedro moniker to continue on with solo work under
his own name.
In December of 2017, Bazan announced that Pedro The Lion be reunited

Which Side Are You On? (Out Of Stock)Singer/songwriter/guitarist Ani DiFranco releases her eagerly awaited album Which Side Are You On? on the Grammy-winning artists own Righteous Babe Records. The release marks DiFrancos first studio album in more than three years. The collection features 11 new songs alongside a radically reworked rendition of the classic title song, famously popularized by the one and only Pete Seeger nearly five decades ago, but no less relevant today.
Backing DiFranco is a remarkably diverse line-up of stellar musicians, including members of her own crack touring band as well as such guest players as Ivan and Cyril Neville (of New Orleans first family of funk and R&B, The Neville Brothers), avant-saxophonist Skerik (Pearl Jam, R.E.M., Bonnie Raitt, The Meters), acclaimed singer/songwriter Anaïs Mitchell, guitarist Adam Levy (Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman, Amos Lee), and a host of New Orleans-based horn players known for their work in such outfits as Galactic, Bonerama, and The Rebirth Brass Band.
The newly recorded version of Which Side Are You On? is a funk-fueled epic, incorporating not just Anis band, but Pete Seeger himself on banjo and vocals alongside The Rivertown Kids, a Hudson Valley-based childrens chorus, and The Roots of Music Marching Crusaders, a brass band consisting of students from The Roots of Music, a music education program for at-risk middle-school students in New Orleans. DiFranco contributed her own straight-from-the headlines verses to the song and has used it to close her own live shows ever since. The album represents an extraordinary snapshot of DiFrancos own life as well her sense of where the country stands at this particular moment in time.1. Life Boat
