7 And 10 Adapter Rings For Use With The Vinyl Cleaner

A set of two adapter rings allowing 7 and 10 discs to be cleaned in the Vinyl Cleaner. Packaged like a double LP for convenient storage when not in use. This is a product developed by Ultra Systems together with Vinh Vu at Gingko Audio who works with acrylics.

This product addresses two specific challenges:

    1. Although notionally 7 and 10 these discs actually vary significantly from these diameters making the development of one size fits all adapters very difficult. The design we came up with should work for almost all 7 and 10 discs,

    2. Because 7 and 10 discs have different sizes of center labels than 12 LP's, the outer diameter of the adapter rings cannot actually be 12. Once again finding a happy medium to adapt the entire spectrum of discs was a challenge.

    Periphery Ring Clamp

The Periphery Ring Clamp greatly improves the performance of VPI turntables by flattening the outer edges of LPs, increasing the cartridge's tracking ability, removing resonance and aiding detail retrieval. A massive ring designed to sit just outside the lead-in groove, the Periphery Ring Clamp's weight flattens the record onto the platter, eliminating edge warps and more completely coupling the record to the platter.

Scout, Aries 1 & 2, HW-19 & older TNT owners will need to purchase the HRX platter and bearing in order to use the Periphery Ring Clamp. Due to bearing height differences between the VPI models, please give us a call if you'd like to upgrade these components and we'll help you get the right bearing for your turntable.

    Ring

Glasser is one woman, Cameron Mesirow, and Ring is her debut album. Her intimate, luxurious music resonated widely on last years EP Apply. For this new album, recorded in Los Angeles and Stockholm, she worked closely with producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Foreign Born, We Are Scientists) and Fever Rays Van Rivers and Subliminal Kid. Ring displays a newly rich vision of her post-pop sound. Laced with strings, woodwinds and simple, angelic vocal melodies, Ring has the universal lure of a lullaby and a hymn.

Delicate Cutters return in 2012 with Ring, their third album overall and second for Skybucket Records.

Not a revivalist outfit, not a gimmick band peddling an image as identity, Delicate Cutters are a band from the American South. Theirs is a music about the remarkable and mundane moments comprising a human existence. About the connective tissue found between them.

For the follow-up to their heralded 2011 release Some Creatures, Delicate Cutters opted to forgo the home studio for the first time. Recording at Ol Elegante Studio under the guidance of Lester Nuby III (Verbena, Vulture Whale, Maria Taylor, Wooden Wand) Delicate Cutters have delivered their most focused and dynamic recordings to date.

From the deep country haunt of Where the Cottonmouths Hung, the manic turn of Tilt-A-Whirl, to the slow burn of New Life and strung out revelations of Resurrection Fern, Delicate Cutters emerge as a band in full command of its voice and fearless in using it.

The album wasn't released worldwide initially but it was a big hit in the territories that it was released in, notably topping the charts in Belgium. The first song People Need Love was recorded in the spring of 1972, but it was only after the title track Ring Ring became a hit, that the four members decided to go on working together as a permanent group. The Bling Ring Soundtrack

Def Jam releases the official soundtrack for The Bling Ring-- the new Sofia Coppola-directed, Emma Watson-starring film based on the true story of a group of kids in L.A. who robbed celebrities' homes.

The film was scored by Daniel Lopatin, aka synth experimentalist Oneohtrix Point Never, working with with longtime Coppola collaborator Brian Reitzell. Reitzell also served as the executive soundtrack producer and music supervisor, putting together a very eclectic mix of rap (Kanye, Azealia Banks, Rick Ross) and krautrock (Klaus Schulze, Can) plus the likes of Sleigh Bells, M.I.A., Frank Ocean, and Phoenix.

Lopatin and Reitzell previously worked on music for the Kelsey Grammer-starring television show Boss. Reitzell previously worked with Coppola on Marie Antoinette, Lost in Translation, and The Virgin Suicides. Lopatin and Reitzell also collaborated on a track for the Bling Ring soundtrack, Bling Ring Suite.

Smoke Ring For My Halo (Awaiting Repress)

Philadelphia singer/songwriter Kurt Vile returns with his second proper album (2008s Childish Prodigy was a compendium of sorts). Smoke Ring For My Halo is a gorgeously layered record. Ranging from the tender breezy folk in Jesus Fever to the tuff urban guitar riff of Puppet To The Man, Viles distinctive Philly-accented vocal ties together a sweeping and evocative project, a true American psychedelic folk album.

This is no pastoral listening experience however, when Vile sings, society is my friend: he makes me lie down in a cool bloodbath, he sounds both exhausted and distanced from the ringing harmonics of his guitar and Mike Zanghis pounding drums. Even the gentler songs, such as On Tour and Babys Arms have a distinctly dark lyrical tone. The closest that Vile gets to some kind of acceptance is in the central track, the rueful In My Time, where he sings, I know when we get older, Im dying, but I got everything I need here now, and thats fine, now...thats fine.

Recorded at the Magic Shop by John Agnello, Smoke Ring For My Halo is a massive step forward for one of the countrys most beloved rock songwriters.

    Bury Me In My Rings

As of the Spring of 2010, Blake Sennett, had quit music. Abandoned it completely. No more Rilo Kiley, no more The Elected. The former guitarist and songwriter focused his efforts elsewhere, writing and directing a short film, moving out of his house of 12 years and taking in a rescue dog. Music was a thing of the past, an afterthought.

So why is there a new record by The Elected, titled Bury Me in My Rings. Did Blake struggle in his new endeavors, find failure in the harsh realm of the film industry? Is he making his return to the world of music defeated, tail between his legs, scratching at the back door of his past successes? The answer, one simply finds, is no. It was simply the interest of friend and colleague Jason Cupp that culled Blake from the depths and had him writing again. Jason, the man that mixed The Elected's previous effort, Sun, Sun, Sun, suggested an impromptu recording session. Blake had no material, no songs to explore, but Cupp insisted. Pressure free, no expectations.

The results stand as a singular vision, in what is The Elected's strongest work to date. For longtime listeners, there are new sounds to enjoy, such as the mid '70s Bowie bounce of Go For The Throat, or the calculated Miss You era Stones cum Early Talking Heads groove of Babyface. Signature tones remain, and can be found on the island sunset serenade Trip Round the World, with the melodic slide of the lap steel, the comforting pluck of a ukulele, offering new ears a sense of what's come before.

More than a mere dalliance, this former side project now begs the attention reserved for one's main focus. As the ghosts of Rilo Kiley fade into the ether, Bury Me in My Rings presents the man responsible an opportunity to further himself from the past, and to continue to develop his artistic identity.

    Very Emergency (Pre-Order)

Very Emergency (1999) is the third album by The Promise Ring. This album sees the band continuing to explore the sounds they had started on their previous release Nothing Feels Good, a more pop - rock-leaning when compared to their debut. The Promise Ring's hook-packed pop sensibility was unique for the genre at the time and helped them inject a shimmery energy into emo that still feels fresh today. Hailing from Milwaukee, The Promise Ring weren't just emblematic of '90s Midwestern emo: they were one of the most celebrated bands in the history of the genre. Under the leadership of frontman Davey Von Bohlen of Cap'n Jazz, their sound incorporated elements of power pop that would become more popular in later years. They broke up in 2002 and after nearly a decade of inactivity The Promise Ring officially reunited in February 2012.

    Shrines

Shrines is the debut album by Purity Ring, a Halifax/Montreal based duo comprised of Corin Roddick and Megan James. Purity Ring make lullabies for the club, drawing equally from airy 90's R&B, lush dream pop, and the powerful, bone-rattling immediacy of modern hip hop. Megan's remarkable voice is at once ecstatic and ethereal, soaring joyfully through Corin's carefully chopped beats, trembling synths, and skewed vocal samples.

Despite the band's young age (Corin is 21, Megan 24) and short gestation (they formed in late 2010), Purity Ring have delivered one of 2012's most assured and anticipated debuts with Shrines. Indeed, Shrines feels like anything but a first record, its vocal hooks are inescapable, its lush production futuristic and sophisticated but also as pristine as anything on pop radio.

The record's eleven tracks trace a unique aesthetic universe that is carefully crafted and fully realized, deftly walking the lines between trap-rap exhilaration and otherworldly rapture, pleasure-center pop and diaristic emotion, childlike dread and total self-possession. Purity Ring's is a universe that invites exploration and demands revisiting.

On their 1997 release, The Promise Ring made emo more accessible,
which laid the groundwork for the commercially successful
acts that would follow. The band showed it doesn't always have to
be such a pity party, and that catharsis can come in many forms,
particularly in the naively optimistic power-pop of Nothing Feels
    Good.

The pioneering band walked the line between brusque sentimentality
and uplifting hooks, making them emo's first pop emissaries.
Cheap Trick for hardcore kids. If Fountains of Wayne, Sebadoh,
and Jonathan Richman had an emo love-child, Nothing Feels
Good might be its name. The record was a high point for many
fans of the band and is considered one of the pillars of the genre.

Perhaps because of this light-hearted yet concentrated approach,
Nothing Feels Good landed with the kind of fanfare that hadn't
been seen for a band from emo's sophomore class, selling over
50,000 records in its initial run. Considering a good run for some
of their peers was around 10,000 to 15,000 albums, Nothing Feels
    Good was veritable emo-platinum.

fans of the band and is considered one of the pillars of the genre.

    Embryonic Anomaly (Awaiting Repress)

Northern California extremists RINGS OF SATURN have inked a deal with Unique Leader Records. The band's debut album, Embryonic Anomaly, was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Bob Swanson at Mayhemenness Studios in Sacramento, California and features artwork by Tony Koehl.

The otherworldly triumvirate known as RINGS OF SATURN made its presence known in the late fall of 2009, posting a track entitled Abducted online for the world to take notice. The goal was to indoctrinate the metal masses using the world's most massive social networks to their advantage, and the project has been a huge success. From the launch of the first track to the unleashing of the virus known as Embryonic Anomaly in the following months, it didn't take long for the Aliencore infection to spread, creating a loyal following of minions whose devotion to the band was immediate and remains steadfast.

    Lugal Ki En (Awaiting Repress)

Rings of Saturn return with their latest slab of musical mayhem. The newest effort from the quartet entitled Lugal Ki En once again pushes the envelope on all fronts of musicianship from start to finish. The drum work which was performed by Aaron Kitcher(Black Tongue, Infant Annihilator) is mind blowing in creativity and sets the backbone for this monster of a release. Guitar work by Lucas Mann and Joel Omans is absolutely flawless in execution and has that classic distinct Rings of Saturn sound that only they can achieve and are known for and also includes a guest appearance from Rusty Cooley(Day of Reckoning). Ian Bearer's vocal delivery is extremely powerful and compliments the music perfectly with many different pitches and ranges never becoming monotonous. Lugal Ki En also features a cover of Suicide Silence No Pity for a Coward. Finish all this off with a top notch sounding production captured by Brette Ciamarra of Studio 344 and numerous conceptual art pieces created by famed artist Mark Cooper and you have what is easily one of the most anticipated albums of 2014.
