Nothin But LoveFive-time Grammy award winning legend and Blues Hall of Fame Inductee Robert Cray is proud to announce the release of his brand new studio album, Nothin But Love, on Provogue Records. Produced by Kevin Shirley (Joe Bonamassa, Aerosmith, The Black Crowes), the 10-song set includes material written by all four Robert Cray Band members; Robert Cray (vocals/guitar), Jim Pugh (keyboards), Cray Band co-founder Richard Cousins (bass) and Tony Braunagel (drums). Nothin But Love blends blues, rock, soul and jazz, with a lyric-sheet that examines the triumphs, fallouts and follies of love.
Produced with what Shirley refers to as "the dirt under the fingernails," Nothin But Love was recorded live over two-weeks at the Revolver Studios in LA. The album features the soaring break-up blues of Won't Be Coming Home, the jazz chops of I'll Always Remember You, the soul-drenched ode to repossession that is Great Big Old House and the frantic '50s-flavoured rocker Side Dish. The album is Cray's sixteenth studio effort overall and marks the latest milestone in a career that has produced 15 Grammy award nominations (5 wins), over 12 million record sales worldwide, thousands of sold out concerts across the globe, and even his own signature line of Fender guitars.
"Kevin did an amazing job producing this album and I'm really happy with the outcome," says Cray, "he captured the real essence of the Robert Cray Band, that live energy we deliver on the road that is usually so difficult to nail down in the studio. I think it's one of the strongest records that we've done."1. Won't Be Coming Home

Heat. The band convinced the man to make a move to California and the rest is rock and blues history.

This TimeThe five-time Grammy Award winner summarized 35 years of mastery on the debut Nozzle release Live From Across the Pond (2006), an electrifying two-CD concert set drawn from a series of shows (opening for Eric Clapton) at Londons Royal Albert Hall. When the time came to follow up that widely praised collection with a studio recording, Cray viewed it as an opportunity to move his sound in other directions.
He found exactly what he was looking for by turning to one of his oldest friends and colleagues: bassist Richard Cousins, whose tenure with the Robert Cray Band began with its barnstorming regional origins in Eugene, Oregon, in 1974 and extended through 1991, encompassing such early high-water marks as Strong Persuader (1986) and Dont Be Afraid of the Dark (1988), both winners of the best contemporary blues performance Grammy.
As ever with Robert Crays undefinable sound, the music on This Time remains stubbornly beyond category. He has been internationally admired as a stylist whose innovations have brought new life to the blues, and such punchy outings as Chicken in the Kitchen and Thats What Keeps Me Rockin should satisfy the most demanding blues fans. But the new albums barrier-busting material, whether its the soulful Love 2009 or the profound balladry of This Time and Forever Goodbye demonstrate once again that attempting to slot Cray in a single genre is an exercise in futility.1. Strong PersuaderOne of the most popular and successful blues albums ever released!
200-gram vinyl, pressed at Quality Record Pressings!
Mastered from the original analog tape by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound
Robert Cray is a musician that critics describe as one of the all-time great blues guitarists, and small wonder. No less than Rolling Stone describes his playing as distinctive and razor-sharp. They go on to say that Strong Persuader introduced a new generation of mainstream rock fans to the language and form of the blues. As much as anyone next to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Cray helped the blues not only survive, but thrive, says Acoustic Sounds' owner Chad Kassem.
Cray, a five-time Grammy winner, originally released Strong Persuader, his fifth studio album, in 1986 - his major label debut. Stinging urban blues by way of Texas and Memphis distinguish Cray's guitar mastery - since the release of Strong Persuader, Cray has gone on to record 15 Billboard-charting studio albums and has written or performed with everyone from Eric Clapton to Stevie Ray Vaughan, from Bonnie Raitt to John Lee Hooker. Inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame at the age of 57, he is one of the youngest living legends to receive the prestigious honor. And although Cray can look back over an astonishing three decade-long career, punctuated by his trademark sound and distinct playing style, he is far too busy moving forward as the amazing journey continues. 2012 saw Robert release his 16th studio album, Nothin' But Love and embark on yet another world tour.

Live In San Diego (with Special Guest JJ Cale)Eric Clapton's Live in San Diego With Special Guest JJ Cale is a live album from the 2007 tour featuring JJ Cale, Doyle Bramhall II, Robert Cray, Derek Trucks and more. Almost 2 hours of music including previously unreleased versions of Layla, Tell The Truth, Cocaine and Crossroads.
Recorded at Clapton's March 15, 2007 performance at the iPayOne Center in San Diego, CA, this concert was part of a world tour that was much loved by Clapton fans and featured a stellar band that included guitarists Derek Trucks (now of the Tedeschi Trucks band) and Doyle Bramhall II. The two-hour San Diego concert was a highlight of the tour as it featured JJ Cale as a special guest on five tracks (including "After Midnight" and "Cocaine"), as well as Robert Cray on the final song of the record, "Crossroads."
After successfully covering several JJ Cale songs over his career, Clapton finally collaborated with Cale in 2006 on the original album Road to Escondido. At the time, Clapton said "This is the realization of what may have been my last ambition, to work with the man whose music has inspired me for as long as I can remember." So it is fitting that one year later, Cale joined Clapton on stage for this special concert where they performed five songs together - underlining the mutual respect the two musicians had for each other.
The concert features a superb set list from across Eric's career. Notably, it includes songs from Eric's classic Derek and the Dominos album Layla, with Derek Trucks playing many of Duane Allman's original guitar parts.
Clapton's career, spanning more than 50 years, has resulted in 18 Grammy Awards and the distinct honor of being the only triple inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Keep It Simple (2004) is the seventh studio album by blues artist Keb' Mo'. The album won a Grammy in 2005 for best contemporary Blues album, and features Robben Ford, Robert Cray, Vince Gill a.o.
Keb' Mo' crafted a warm, wry, Blues-informed version of Pop Americana that wrestles with contemporary problems like how to pay the mortgage, the high price of coffee, or how to afford a vacation. This is the first ever vinyl release of this great album!
Over the past two decades Keb' Mo' (born Kevin Moore) has cultivated a reputation as a modern master of American roots music through his live and studio performances. His songs have been recorded by the likes of B.B. King, Buddy Guy, the Dixie Chicks, Joe Cocker and Robert Palmer.
And he's no stranger to acting. His acting career began in the early '90s, and in 1998 Keb' Mo' portrayed Robert Johnson in the documentary Can't You Hear the Wind Howl. Other acting jobs include his role as the ghostly bluesman Possum in the 2007 movie Honeydripper. But Keb stresses that his focus will always be on making music and being a communicator, a songwriter.1. France

Howlin' Mercy is the third album by American slide blues guitarist, singer and songwriter John Campbell. Born in 1952 he started to play Delta blues at an early age, listening to and influenced by his peers like Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Lightnin' Hopinks. He performed in clubs in Texas and New Orleans before settling down in New York. It was in New York that his live performance came to fruition which led to his signing with Elektra Records in 1991.
This album was made before his untimely death due to heart failure in 1993 and contains a bluesified Led Zeppelin cover When The Levee Breaks.
Additionally songs like Firin' Line, Written In Stone Down In The Hole (written by Tom Waits) and Wolf Among The Lambs are proof of Campbell's roots playing the blues.
Howlin Mercy was produced by Dennis Walker, who also worked on a lot off Robert Cray's recordings.1. Ain't Afraid Of Midnight

Middle Of The RoadMiddle of the Road is Eric Gales' fourth album on Provogue/Mascot label Group (Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart, Black Stone Cherry, Warren Haynes, The Robert Cray Band, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band). The albums follows Transformation (2011), Relentless (2010) and The Psychedelic Underground (2007), and it sees him at his most expressive yet; it is a deeply personal and reflective record that echoes where he is in his life right now and he opens himself up and allows himself the chance to really flourish. Middle of the Road is the running theme throughout the record.
In regards to the album Eric says It's about being fully focused and centered in the middle of the road. If you're on the wrong side and in the gravel, you're not too good and if you're on the median strip that's not too good either, so being in the middle of the road is the best place to be.1.
