Seattle rapper/producer Grieves emerged in 2007 with his independently released album, Irreversible. In the years that followed, he wholly devoted himself to touring, writing and recording, honing his craft and defining his sound. His 2011 Rhymesayers debut, Together/Apart, was a career landmark and a testament to his growth in both, his writing and delivery, and this progression was re-affirmed by his follow-up, Winter & The Wolves, in 2014. Now, after three years, Grieves prepares to reveal further evolution with the release of his new full-length album, Running Wild.

On Running Wild, Grieves teamed up with Swedish producer Chords. Together, the two have produced a modernized sound that is lush and intoxicating, pairing punchy drums with thick layers of synths and warm bass lines, all accented by soulful keys, horns, or guitars. Whether dark and moody, or upbeat and jazzy, Grieves navigates and complements the soundscape, penning verses that range from vulnerable and confessional, to fun and carefree. Grieves is most certainly breaking boundaries, truly running wild, all while remaining honest to himself.

    Wild World

At first glance the striking artwork for Bastille's hugely anticipated second album, 'Wild World', may prompt a number of questions. Who are the two individuals balanced precariously above a cityscape? Why are they there? What will happen next? But Dan Smith's own interpretation of the image is one that runs through many of the songs on Wild World, "To me, the image isn't about what's just happened or what happens next," he begins. "It's not about how they got there or how they get down. It's about sharing a moment - two friends existing in that split second in that exact space, two people framed in the vast context of this huge mad metropolis that we've all built. They're there out of choice."

The London four-piece release their hugely anticipated second album, 'Wild World' in 2016. The album follows the band's global four million selling, multi-platinum debut, Bad Blood.

The announcement follows a fever pitch build spearheaded by infectious new single 'Good Grief', which received an incredible reaction across media and charted as last week's highest new entry as well as achieving the most week-one streams ever for an alternative single. The surreal video for the track clocked up over half a million views in just 48 hours and the band's recent triumphant Glastonbury set drew one of the largest crowds of the weekend and was hailed by the NME as "A masterclass in how to win Glastonbury."
Wild World retains the vivid, rich, filmic song-writing of its predecessor but pushes the band's distinctive sound in exciting new directions. Lyrically, too, it's a leap forward, "If our first album was about growing up and the anxieties surrounding it" Dan explains, "Our second is about trying to make sense of the world around you, both as you see it and as it's presented to you through the media. It's also about asking questions of the world and of the people in it. We wanted the album to be a bit disorientating - at times extroverted and introverted, light and dark."

Written by Dan Smith and co-produced with Bastille fifth member Mark Crew, Wild World was recorded in the same tiny, South London windowless basement studio where the band recorded its predecessor. It's a collection of fourteen songs (nineteen on the deluxe edition) that sees Bastille at their boldest and most daring. Anthemic yet thought-provoking tracks include the fiery, string-laden, 'The Currents', a poignant and timely song that was written about, "Specific public figures on both sides of the Atlantic, and how it can be hard to believe they can think certain thoughts, let alone say them out loud or get on a podium and broadcast them." As well as the bombastic 'Send Them Off!' which boasts the attitude of a classic hip hop song set against the lyrical narrative and insecurities that are part of Bastille's own DNA, whilst referencing both The Exorcist and Othello. The track exemplifies Dan's belief in shuffle culture and the end of rigid genre boundaries. There's also the pensive, stripped back Depeche Mode-esque sound bed for the band's beautiful album trailer, 'Two Evils' which was recorded in one take; As well as the irresistible and rousing 'Snakes' and the guitar heavy 'Blame', which Dan describes as, "Our first foray into big guitar riffs, in a fictional standoff between two gangsters."

But at the heart of it all, there's a sense of escapism that runs through Wild World and a fascination with the human condition and the relationships we all forge, fight over and sometimes forget. "The world can seem a fucked up place," Dan concludes. "But people - well, people can be amazing. The relationships you choose to have in your life are the main solace. They're the things that make life awesome."

Sunday Run Me Over (Awaiting Repress)

Sunday Run Me Over is the second album released in 2012 by Holly Golightly & the Brokeoffs, following early spring's Long Distance, a collection of her older garage rock material re-recorded in a distinctly more Americana/honky tonk style. Long the queen of the garage, Holly Golightly's work with her strange partner Lawyer Dave acting as the entirety of the Brokeoffs has seen the punk energy that brimmed over in scrappy solo albums (or even more so with work in the early femme-stomp of Thee Headcoatees) shift somewhat into a country-tinged sound, possibly a product of her new environment, as Ms. Golightly left her London home for life on the farm in rural Georgia with Lawyer Dave sometime in the late 2000s. The photo of ducks, dogs, and chickens in the artists' backyard that graces the inside cover of Sunday Run Me Over is a far cry from the gritty dive-bar settings imaginable as the backdrop for Golightly's early solo material, and likewise the music is removed from that early garage grit. The fifth album from the duo finds them working in the country-blues mode they've been cultivating for a while, but with more energy and manic gusto than before. Starting off with the down-home holler of Goddamn Holy Roll, overdriven slide guitars and tambourines right out of Sunday morning church service explode out of the speakers, with Holly and Dave in a wild-eyed duet for the entire duration of this spirited stomper. Tones of deep South religion, retribution, and redemption feel buried throughout the record, with humid originals like the rocking Tank and the goofy saloon singalong of One for the Road butting up against traditional country arrangements of old-timey hits like I Forgot More and the Stonesy Hard to Be Humble. The album's down-on-the-farm or confessin'-on-the-pulpit vibes have enough rock & roll in them to keep Sunday Run Me Over in the same boozy, reckless mode of rock that Golightly is famous for, just reconfigured a little bit. The bitterness and spite that tempered the good times rolling on albums like Truly She Is None Other and Serial Girlfriend are still alive and well on tracks like Goodnight, even if sung with a bit more of a drawl than a British accent. All told, the album is a riveting romp of country-fried garage rock recorded on an actual farm. Fans of Golightly's earliest work might miss the garage days, but listening closely will reveal that the spirit of those days is alive and very much kicking.

    Until The Colour Runs

Following the success of their critically acclaimed debut
in 2011, Lanterns On The Lake return with a new album,
the sublime Until The Colours Run, which will be released
    October 10th on Bella Union.

The source of the music remains the same, an exquisitely
crafted blend of symphonic rock, folk and electronics but much has changed in the interim. The album was
recorded during a time of financial and personal adversity, and as a result, Until The Colours Run is more soulful
and dynamic than its predecessor. In sound, it's both
harder ('Elodie', the title track) and more luminous
('Green And Gold', 'Picture Show'), and a more emotionally and politically charged experience, as singer/lyricist
Hazel Wilde paints unflinching portraits of what she sees.
It's a haunting, often devastating combination.

"Not only have they made a better record than their
debut, they've made one of the best records of the
young decade." - DROWNED IN SOUND

    The Spirit Moves

Sometimes, truth can't be explained. But it can be felt, running wild through a song. "I don't want to tame myself. I want to be wild," says Langhorne Slim. "If I can continue to refine the wildness but never suffocate or tame it, then I'm on the right path. Because it is a path. I feel it." The Spirit Moves is Langhorne's newest artistic attempt to refine the wildness. The result is an effervescent collection of his now-signature, cinematic, joyful noise, rooted in folk, soul, and blues. The album marks his second with rock-solid band The Law, and the highly anticipated follow-up to 2012's critically acclaimed The Way We Move.

    Love At First Sting

    180 Gram Vinyl

Although the Scorpions had already achieved fame after 1982's Blackout, Love at First Sting brought them their biggest single of the decade, the slick anthem Rock You Like a Hurricane, with some greatly underrated songs to back it up. The album opens with the hair-raising Bad Boys Running Wild and continues with songs such as the memorable Big City Nights and the half-ballad, half-powerhouse rocker Coming Home. The record also contains what just may be the band's best ballad ever, the tear-jerking Still Loving You. Considering the fact that it has some of their best-ever singles, Love at First Sting is definitely a must for all fans of the Scorpions.

    Mountains Beaches Cities

Nashville rock favorites, Moon Taxi, have really hit the ground running in 2013. February saw the release of their second studio album, Cabaret; a keyboard laden, indie-prog rock venture. The band has hit the festival circuit hard over the summer playing the Hangout Music Festival, Wakarusa and Forecastle just to name a few. Now Moon Taxi is ready to release their third studio and second album of 2013, Mountains Beaches Cities.

Mountains Beaches Cities comes as a continuation of Cabaret. The songwriting style and recording process discovered while making their second studio album fuels the songs on Moon Taxi's newest effort. Mixed by Vance Powel of Third Man Records, the album features enormous drum sounds, multiple layers of keyboards and guitars and are driven by steady grooving bass lines.

Moon Taxi has released two singles from the new album to wet audiences appetites. The first release, 'Running Wild', is an indie pop number that uses signature Moon Taxi guitar riffs backed by keyboard synth layers. The lyrics speak of taking in the moment and making the most of life while there's still time.

Their second single, 'The New Black', is a hypnotic, head bobbing tune that plays off of one progression over and over. The dynamics rise and fall with the addition and subtraction of subtle layers that support the southern rock/blues guitar riff that drives the song.

    World Wide Live

    180 Gram Double LP

Since the Scorpions' career was at its peak, World Wide Live could not have been recorded at a better time. This album contains all of their early-'80s hits, and while they aren't as energetic on-stage as they are in the studio, the band still perform with a great amount of flamboyance. The record is the Scorpions' only worthwhile live album and is a must for their fans.

Recorded in California, France, and West Germany during 1984's Love at First Sting Tour, World Wide Live captures Scorpions at the indisputable peak of their career. Propelled by the crossover success of "Rock You Like a Hurricane," Scorpions were playing the biggest shows of their life but hadn't yet lost their early hunger. The most crucial aspect of this kind of live album is the sound. After all, it's extremely hard to retain a metal band's cohesive attack when recording in cavernous sports arenas. Fortunately, Scorpions worked with their longtime engineer Dieter Dierks, who was able to maintain a sound quality that was full-bodied and very realistic.

These recordings are rare among concert albums in that they somehow translate both the largeness of the venues and the tightly wound attack of the music. Highlights include "Blackout," "Bad Boys Running Wild," and "Holiday." "Rock You Like a Hurricane" sounds like it was written specifically for this type of venue, and by the time you reach that performance, you start to understand the additional juice these songs are given in the live setting.

This follows the upcoming vinyl releases of 'Run For Cover', 'Wild Frontier', 'After The War' and 'Still Got The Blues.' In July 1979, he left Thin Lizzy to focus on his solo career. He experimented with many musical genres, including rock, jazz, blues, country, electric blues, hard rock and heavy metal. Chulahoma

Chulahoma is a stopgap EP from the Black Keys, a collection of six covers of songs by cult bluesman Junior Kimbrough, whose 'Do the Rump' they covered on their 2002 debut, Big Come Up. Considering that this is the first time the blues-rock guitar-n-drums duo has devoted an album to nothing but straight-ahead blues songs, it wound seem logical that Chulahoma would be the bluesiest recording in their catalog, but the Black Keys aren't that simple. The six songs on this 28-minute EP are hardly replications of Kimbrough's gritty originals, nor do they have the dirty, punch-to-the-gut feel of any of the duo's three proper albums. Instead, this is the weirdest set of music the band has done to date, a trippy, murky excursion into territory that floats somewhere between the primal urgency of the duo's best work and the dark, moody psychedelia of late-'60s blues-rock. Take 'Have Mercy on Me' its winding, narcotic blues groove settles into a bed of droning organ and bongos, but the interplay between guitarist/vocalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney prevents it from sounding as affected as psychedelia, while infusing it with a real sense of danger. That unsettling undercurrent flows throughout this brief EP, and it makes Chulahoma an album that's ideal for pitch-black nights, where the music can worm its way into your imagination and then run wild. That alone would make it a unique, noteworthy detour for the Black Keys, but when this is compared to Kimbrough's original recordings, it becomes an instructive listen since a side-by-side listen reveals how Auerbach drew inspiration from Kimbrough's stripped-down, idiosyncratic grooves and took it into some place entirely different. And while that might mean that Chulahoma doesn't necessarily sound like a kissing cousin to Kimbrough's originals, it does make it a greater, richer tribute than most cover albums, and it certainly proves that Auerbach's testimonial in the liner notes about how Junior Kimbrough changed his life is no lie.

The Wild, The Innocent And The E Street Shuffle

Ranked 133/500 On Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time

Mastered By Bob Ludwig Working Under The Supervision Of Springsteen & Engineer Toby Scott

The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen. It was recorded by Springsteen with the E Street Band at 914 Sound Studios in Blauvelt, New York. The album includes the song Rosalita (Come Out Tonight), the band's most-used set-closing song for the first 10 years of its career.

As with Springsteen's first album released earlier in the year, The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle was well-received critically but had little commercial success at the time. However, once Springsteen achieved popularity with Born to Run, several selections from this album became popular FM radio airplay and concert favorites. On November 7, 2009, Springsteen and the E Street Band played the album in its entirety for the first time ever in a concert at Madison Square Garden.[2]

To meet the standards of Analogue Productions, our Beach Boys album reissues had a mission to achieve: Present the band's music the way that Brian Wilson - famed co-founder, songwriter and arranger - intended. Mono mixes created under Wilson's supervision were how the surf rockin' California crew rose to fame! And we've got 'em!

For the early part of the Beach Boys career, all of their singles were mixed and mastered and released only in the mono format - they didn't release a single in stereo until 1968. In those days, hits were made on AM radio in mono. And the mono of those times worked well for Wilson, who suffers from partial deafness. Still, apart from Surfin' Safari, which was mono only, the Beach Boys did turn in stereo masters on all of their early albums up until 1965. The Beach Boys Today! was the first LP for which they only delivered a mono master.

The stereo editions of Surfin' USA, Surfer Girl, Little Deuce Coupe, Shut Down Vol. 2, All Summer Long, Beach Boys Christmas Album and Beach Boys Concert were all mixed in stereo by their own preferred engineer, Chuck Britz, ostensibly under the group's supervision.

Brian may or may not have been present for those mixing sessions - evidence suggests that he trusted Chuck's skills enough to let him prepare those mixes on his own - but the group held onto their multitrack tapes and delivered stereo masters to Capitol, rather than allowing Capitol to prepare their own stereo versions. Later, when Brian was only delivering mono masters, Capitol would prepare the Duophonic pseudo stereo editions for the stereo market, says Alan Boyd, producer and Beach Boys' archivist.

All of the newer stereo mixes on these remastered albums (The Beach Boys Today!, Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!), The Beach Boys' Party, Pet Sounds and Smiley Smile) were all done by Mark Linett on behalf of the Beach Boys.

Still, bottom line, the mono mixes were where Brian Wilson paid intense attention, and the dedication paid off!

We've taken 10 of the most classic, best-sounding Beach Boy titles ever and restored them to their mono glory!

But there's no disputing that the close harmonies and one-of-a-kind rhythms of hits like "Surfer Girl," "In My Room," "Little Deuce Coupe" and more lend themselves naturally to stereo. So we've got your 2-channel needs covered with prime stereo mix versions as well.

Mastered by Kevin Gray, most from the original master tapes, and plated and pressed by Quality Record Pressings, the finest LP pressing facility in the world, these are awesome recordings to experience. And the look of each album befits its sonic superiority! Presented in old school Stoughton tip-on jackets, these time honored favorites shine brighter than the originals!

Summer Days features another Wilson world-beater production, California Girls, and the band's second No. 1 single, Help Me, Rhonda. Ever pressured by commercial concerns, Wilson and the band created what was in essence the true follow-up to the All Summer Long album. Still, there's a level of musical sophistication to tracks such as Salt Lake City, the Phil Spector tribute Then I Kissed Her, Summer Means New Love and Let Him Run Wild.

A musical legacy that began in Hawthorne, California and went on to conquer the world. Analogue Productions presents the ultimate pressings of 14 essential Beach Boys albums!

Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!) was released in stereo for the first time in 2012. These stereo mixes were created between 2005 and 2012 using the first generation basic tracking session multitracks, synced with the overdubs that were later added on second and third generation masters, to create the first true stereo mixes.

The exception is Help Me Rhonda, which is a computer-generated stereo mix by Derry Fitzgerald. A remix in stereo for that track isn't possible because many overdubs were added as the song was mixed for the original mono single. The stereo mixes for Today!, Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!), Beach Boys' Party! and Smiley Smile were produced and mixed by Mark Linett, and co-produced by Alan Boyd.

Apart from Surfin' Safari, which was mono only, the Beach Boys did turn in stereo masters on all of their early albums up until 1965. The Beach Boys Today! was the first LP for which they only delivered a mono master.

    Four (Acts Of Love)

Mick Harvey is pleased to announced details for his latest solo album, FOUR (Acts of Love), a follow up to 2011's Sketches from the Book of the Dead, due out via Mute on June 11th, 2013.

This is the sixth studio album from this prolific musician, a man renowned for his career with The Birthday Party and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds as well as for his work with soundtracks (Chopper, To Have And To Hold, Australian Rules). In addition to his solo recordings and his feature length soundtracks his work as a Producer also speaks for itself having worked with Anita Lane, Rowland S Howard and most recently PJ Harvey's Mercury Prize winning album, Let England Shake.

FOUR (Acts of Love) was recorded on two continents at Grace Lane in North Melbourne and Atlantis Sound in Melbourne and features original compositions from Harvey in addition to exciting re-interpreatations of classic hits. Regular

collaborators Rosie Westbrook on double bass and JP Shilo on guitar and violin lent their talent, alongside new collaborators such as PJ Harvey "Glorious."

Harvey takes a turn at revisiting classics such as The Saints 'The Story of Love', Van Morrison's 'The Way Young Lovers Do', Exuma's 'Summertime in New York' and Roy Orbison's 'Wild Hearts (Run Out of Time)'.

The Shape of Brat Pop to Come

Their debut album features single Running Behind, featured in the 2015 Apple Watch commercial. HOLYCHILD is comprised of Liz Nistico and Louie Diller. They met in college in 2011, have been writing music ever since and call their genre, brat pop. This album takes on nothing less than the idea of power dynamics and inequality-be it racial, social status, or gender-motivated. The beats are wild and the tongues are placed firmly in cheek.

    Olympia

Olympia is an album of transformation. Though it has only been two years since Austra's 2010 debut
Feel It Break, it presents a quantum evolution in the Toronto-based band's sound, structure and style.

After three years of non-stop international touring with the likes of The xx, Grimes and the Gossip,
when it came time to record Olympia, Austra had evolved into a complex collaborative effort between
its six members. "Previously, I would flesh out songs before I brought them to the band, but this time
I left them bare and let the others fill them in" explains Katie Stelmanis, the principal songwriter/vocalist.

Olympia is also the first confessional record for Stelmanis as evidenced by the heartfelt lyrics of piano
driven lead single "Home." The album touches on a range of sentiments that stem from a relationship
ending, a relationship beginning, and friends' struggles with addiction and motivation. Despite the
sometimes dark lyrics written in collaboration with band member Sari Lightman, Olympia is bubbly
and buoyant- fundamentally a dance record, which Stelmanis says was the band's aim all along. "We
are really into dense harmonies and big beautiful melodies, but I also love techno and dance music. I
wanted to bring those elements together."

Though Olympia is filled with electronic and synthetic sounds that reference everything from Trax
Record classic cuts to Yazoo's Upstairs At Eric's, it's free of programming and loops. Everything was
played live by the band in the studio and all of the percussion including a wild set up of marimbas and
congas performed by drummer Maya Postepski. "There is a major percussive element running through
every song," Stelmanis laughs, "this is the album where we discovered rhythm."

The album was produced by Austra with additional production by Mike Haliechuk (Fucked Up)

Vocal production by Damian Taylor (Bjork, the Killers)

Engineered by Leon Taheny and Bill Skibbe (the Kills, Wild Belle,
    Dead Weather)

Mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Erasure, Hot Chip).

    Blazing Saddles Soundtrack (Discontinued)

    Import

Limited Edition (Limited to 1000 Copies)

28 tracks including dialogue Blazing Saddles is widely regarded as one of the greatest of all Hollywood comedies, a fact underlined by its three Academy Award nominations. Writer and director Mel Brooks brought to the soundtrack exactly what played out on screen, a glorious, gag-packed parody of the western genre. The main theme performed by Frankie Laine was one of those Academy Award nominations. Running a trade ad to find a Laine sound-alike to perform the song he was astonished to see the great man himself turn up to deliver this delicious parody of of every wild west theme he had previously performed mixing elements of Rawhide, Mule Train and Gunfight At The OK Corral. In collaboration with John Morris, Brooks skilfully also created a magnificent score that refined every possible musical cliche connected to westerns from swirling strings to choral refrains. Originally only released in part in the 1970s this 40th anniversary edition is the most complete version yet with 28 tracks that also incorporates some of the most hilarious dialogue from the film. This is a soundtrack created with love that captures perfectly the essence of a truly great film, now a rarity in the modern cinema era.

    Beyondless

Beyondless is the 4th LP from Iceage. This
    record radiates joy.

Pay attention to the journey, from New Brigade,
a juvenile delinquent take on post-punk, full
of cold, distant condemnation, and onto the
ecstasy of You're Nothing, shedding the more
aggressive hardcore influence and dragging in
more light, a tendency followed on Plowing Into
The Field Of Love. The intoxication is consistent,
this has always been drunk music, but it's less a
stumbling confusion and more a sturdy heartfelt
confession with each record. They have finally
caught up with their ambition. Their entire charm
has always rested in their running ahead of
themselves with blind confidence, taunting you
to follow and you follow because wherever they
are going is vital, is alive; on Beyondless they
are treading with an assurance that is disarming,
but there is no loss of charm, you are arm in
    arm now, whispering intimacies.

Intimacies that recall other intimacies: something
must have happened when Iceage heard Gun
Club Miami. Some traumatic event! A wild band
has not been tamed, but is in repose, retaining
an edge but expressing something less definite,
something about hurt or longing or regret.

Letting in the light, the joy radiates. They are
post post-punk, Beyondless retains the rich
character of their brash beginnings, but this is
something beyond, oh hell, this is something
very, very special, a generous gift for an anemic
    age.

    Eleven Eleven

On Dave Alvin's new album Eleven Eleven, the man who many credit with pioneering what has come to be known as 'roots rock,' revisits the burning, guitar-centered blues-rock that initially defined his career along with his band The Blasters in the late 1970s.

After The Blasters, Alvin explored the path of American folk music, a road that led to classic albums and Grammy wins (for his album Public Domain: Songs from the Wild Land), establishing him as one of America's most distinguished songwriters and California's de facto roots music ambassador.

Fast forward to Eleven Eleven and Dave is ready to raise the stakes again, calling on some Blasters including his brother Phil, with whom he duets for the first time ever on record. The inaugurals continue with Dave writing all the songs while on the road touring, a first for the seasoned performer.

The new method clearly sparked new ideas for Alvin, with the blistering guitar runs and Bo Diddley beat of Run Conejo Run sidling up alongside the gentle finger-picking of the tremolo-soaked No Worries Mija.

Eleven Eleven also features Harlan County Line, the song featured, along with an Alvin cameo as himself, in FX original series Justified and his highest and fastest-selling digital single ever.

    World Garage

Inspired by Bollywood, a trip to Morocco, and Serge Gainsbourg, Angelo Spencers second full-length World Garage brings armloads of new instruments and the flavor of exotic locations to a compilation of songs that amount to more than just an album, but an experience of wildness. Hearing Spencer transition from English to French, from guitar to hand percussion, and from soft singing to auto tuned screaming, its easy to close your eyes and imagine that youre running barefoot through the soft grass of, somewhere. Somewhere else.

Backed by local musicians Ben Kapp, Karl Blau, Clyde Petersen, with guest vocals by Rebecca Redman (from the band Watercolor paintings), World Garage began as a bundle of unfinished songs that Spencer played for everyone, along with a mixtape of Algerian, Moroccan, and Bollywood selections meant to serve as inspiration for how he wanted the finished album to sound; from the sounds of it, it did the trick.
