    The Ship

Humankind seems to teeter between hubris and paranoia: the hubris of our ever-growing power contrasts with the paranoia that we're permanently and increasingly under threat. At the zenith we realize we have to come down again...we know that we have more than we deserve or can defend, so we become nervous. Somebody, something is going to take it all from us: that is the dread of the wealthy. Paranoia leads to defensiveness, and we all end up in the trenches facing each other across the mud." - Brian Eno The Ship, a new album by Brian Eno, will be released by Warp Records.

The Ship is Eno's first solo record since 2012's Grammy- nominated LUX. Originally conceived from experiments with three dimensional recording techniques and formed in two, interconnected parts, The Ship is almost as much musical novel as traditional album. Eno brings together beautiful songs, minimalist ambience, physical electronics, omniscient narratives and technical innovation into a single, cinematic suite. The result is the very best of Eno, a record without parallel in his catalogue.

The album opens with the 21-minute eponymously titled "The Ship" on which Eno's cyclically sung sea-chant builds in ominous drama, followed by "Fickle Sun", a song in three movements. The first continues where "The Ship" left but with Eno's voice sounding more upfront, determined, even despairing. The album's finale is a Lou Reed penned cover of The Velvet Underground's "I'm Set Free", a band who were famously credited by Eno as the inspiration behind his early music explorations as an art student. Coinciding with The Ship's release, a series of Eno installations will be happening around the world at which you will be able to hear an alternative telling of The Ship in multi-channel 3-dimensional sound installations.

    Sun Ship

Sun Ship is a jazz album recorded on August 26, 1965, by tenor saxophonist John Coltrane. The album extended the free jazz ideas of Transition. The relaxed, serene feel of earlier ballads like "Welcome" was transformed into a new style of ballad on "Dearly Beloved" and "Attaining". This style involved very slow tempos, drum rolls and fills, and a louder, more intense feel than traditional jazz ballads. Like "Psalm" (from A Love Supreme), there is no real tune, just a scale or series of tones used to build an improvised theme.

Coltrane's solos on the other tracks are also more extreme than on his earlier albums, and are reminiscent of the style of Albert Ayler and Pharaoh Sanders in their extensive use of altissimo and multiphonics. The title "Sun Ship" may have been inspired by Sun Ra's conception of free jazz as having an affinity with science fiction conceptions of human existence.

Sun Ship was one of the only albums John Coltrane's quartet recorded without sound engineer Rudy Van Gelder. It was also one of the last albums (with First Meditations, recorded a week later) which John Coltrane recorded before he began experimenting with larger groups. Tenor saxophonist Pharaoh Sanders was playing regularly with the band by September, 1965, and both McCoy Tyner and Elvin Jones left the band in January, 1966.

    The Last Ship

11th Studio Album From the 16-Time Grammy® Award Winner

The Last Ship is inspired by Sting's forthcoming play of the same name and explores the central themes of homecoming and self-discovery, drawing upon his memories of growing up in the shadow of the Swan Hunters Shipyard in Wallsend. His personal reminiscences illuminate universal truths - the complexity of relationships, the passage of time and the importance of family and community - to form an affecting, complex parable for our modern times.

The play, in which Sting has been creatively immersed for nearly three years, debuts on Broadway in 2014 and is a collaboration with Tony Award winners Joe Mantello (director; Wicked, Other Desert Cities), John Logan (writer; Red, Skyfall) and Brian Yorkey (writer; Next to Normal). The Last Ship tells the story of the demise of the shipbuilding industry in 1980s Newcastle which had, for so long, shaped and overshadowed the city, its development, and its community.

The Last Ship album is produced by Rob Mathes (Sting, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Lou Reed, Carly Simon) and engineered and mixed by Donal Hodgson.

    A Different Ship

Here We Go Magic's sophomore album, Pigeons, had only been out a few weeks when the seeds for A Different Ship were planted in late June of 2010 at the Glastonbury Festival. The New York band had been on the road since Spring, wowing audiences with their uncanny live chemistry, turning album tracks into intricately groovy sonic explorations where the band seemed almost synchronously possessed. That had been their sweet spot since their earliest rehearsals together, when singer/songwriter Luke Temple, bassist Jennifer Turner, guitarist Michael Bloch, drummer Peter Hale and then-keyboardist Kristina Lieberson bonded over a shared belief in musical spontaneity and a kind of improvisation that feels too divinely ordered to be called "jamming."

At Glastonbury "the crowd wasn't giving us much to work with, except for these two guys standing in front," Temple continues. "One of them was dancing around like a maniac and I was like, 'I'm just gonna play for those two guys. Then I realized, 'That's fucking Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich!'" The band, Yorke and Godrich became fast friends and the producer eventually proposed working together. In particular, the producer said he thought he could help them better communicate their hypnotic and hypnagogic live vibe on tape.

And he did. A Different Ship is Here We Go Magic's most remarkable and captivating album yet, with an emotional and musical arc that is alternately calming and anxiety-inducing, and often both at once. "I Believe In Action" and "Make Up Your Mind" sound like they're being beamed in from outer space, while more earthbound tracks such as "Miracle of Mary," "Over The Ocean" and "Alone But Moving" amble in a somnolent haze, with Temple's cool timbre cutting through the fog.

After demoing and tracking in both LA with Godrich and later upstate New York, the band ultimately ended up recording the bulk of the album in Godrich's London studio. By that time the band was bursting with new ideas and the songs just started flowing."I think the best stuff on the record is the stuff that was thought about the least," says Temple. "Tracks like 'Over The Ocean,' 'I Believe In Action,' 'Made To Be Old,' written in the morning and recorded the same afternoon.

In London, with an array of huge sounds at their disposal, they found it easier to stick to their "keep it simple" rule. "When Jen produced 'Pigeons,' the sounds were a lot more condensed and we got really into finding the infinite space inside something that's super on top of itself," explains Bloch. "Then suddenly when you're working in a studio like Nigel's, it's all these enormous sounds. Just one of Jen's bass notes fills up the room.

Despite an incubation period of nearly a year, and a writing process that spanned two continents, the ten songs of A Different Ship carry a consistent thematic concern, what the band describes as an "unresolved tension between valuing being alone and valuing being connected." Says Temple: "The music is beautiful, but feels like it's brittle and about to crack. It's always suspended in between major and minor, happy and sad, trying to find that middle ambiguous place. A lot of the endings of these songs just kind of stop, like things are left suspended, floating in space. That's a real characteristic of us as a band moving forward, even when we're sort of unsure, and knowing we'll find happy accidents along the way."

The sixth and most accessible album to date, featuring a star-studded cast of players including Deerhoof, Sufjan Stevens, Sereena-Maneesh, and more. What began as a senior thesis project a decade ago has evolved into a musical world so rich with musicality and merrymaking that the first six albums and ten years of touring pomp alone could nourish the most scrutinizing of thrill-seekers. There's no hard distinction between the visuals (costumes and graphics) and the music from this suburban New Jersey group. One enters your heart through your eyes, one through your ears, says Daniel. On tour May through September throughout the US.

    Three-Four

Three-Four is a collection of three EP's (plus extra bonus material) made by the band The Shipping News (commonly referred to as RMSN) and originally released in 2003 via Quarterstick Records. The project grew from the desire to take a different approach to making songs and recordings.

The rules were each band member (Kyle Crabtree, Jeff Mueller, Jason Noble) would record one solo song per EP. They would make songs quickly and with little preconception; open to whatever ideas arrived in a short time period and document them almost immediately. These would be made without talking to each other about content or style then assembled later. The three EPs would be released over the course of one year. This would happen while they worked on their next full album together, and some of the EP material would be reworked as band music eventually.

The series was limited to 1,000 copies per EP, which allowed for the packaging to be handmade. Kerri Sancomb and Jeff Mueller designed, printed, and stitched each copy personally.

In such a limited quantity these special EP's became highly sought-after pieces, and each EP sold out soon after it was released.

This collection includes all of the songs that appeared on each EP, and as an added bonus it also includes three entirely new songs exclusive to Three-Four. This is the sound of The Shipping News broken down into component parts, each part working independently to find its way back to the others.

11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory

After twenty years, Dropkick Murphys remain bigger than ever, having sold over 6 million albums worldwide. Their forthcoming CD, 11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory, is a soundtrack to tragedy and triumph alike. On this album, the band carries on the tradition of rough and tumble storytelling - the kind of writing that never leaves fans wondering whether the band have lived what they're singing about. A look back at childhood, a snapshot of a clueless jerk, a stop-you-in-your-tracks reflection on a terrorist tragedy... There are moments of ass-kicking Celtic punk attitude, ball-busting wisecracks, tear-jerking confessions, and the kind of upbeat words of wisdom that can be chanted loud and proud across arenas and stadiums worldwide.

The band continues to sell out venues around the world. They've Boston's Fenway Park and been personally invited to share the stage with everyone from Foo Fighters to Bruce Springsteen to Mumford & Sons. The group's single I'm Shipping Up To Boston"-- from 2005's Certified Gold The Warrior's Code--has sold nearly 2 million copies. "I'm Shipping Up To Boston," a song with lyrics penned by Woody Guthrie, gained mainstream notoriety after being prominently featured in Martin Scorsese's Academy Award-winning film The Departed. It can be commonly heard at sporting events and on television as a theme song for many sports teams (even outside of Boston).

    Night Songs

Night Songs is the debut studio album by American Rock band Cinderella, released in 1986. The album sold several million copies due to a combination of Cinderella's breakthrough single Nobody's Fool, MTV airplay, and an opening slot on labelmates Bon Jovi's tour, in support of their album Slippery When Wet.

The album peaked at #3 on the US charts, and was eventually certified triple platinum for shipping 3 million copies. Leadoff single Shake Me failed to chart, but Nobody's Fool cracked the Top 20, reaching #13. The third single Somebody Save Me went to #66.

Night Songs was criticized as one of the top five worst album covers on great albums. The cover was not that bad, it was just misleading, as it put forward a glam metal image, but the songs inside were classic Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.

Long Cold Winter is the second studio album by American Glam Rock band Cinderella, released in 1988. With Long Cold Winter, Cinderella started to move away from the Glam Rock music of their previous album and into a more Blues Rock-oriented direction, akin to early 1970s Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Humble Pie, Bad Company, and Deep Purple.

The record reached No. 10 in the US and became double-platinum for shipping 2 million copies in the US by the end of the year, just as their debut album Night Songs had done earlier. It was later certified triple platinum.

The album features four singles, which all charted in the US: Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone), which was to be Cinderella's highest-charting single, The Last Mile, Coming Home and Gypsy Road.

    The Warrior's Code

The Warrior's Code is the fifth studio album of the Dropkick Murphys. Released in June 2005, it is also their bestselling. It features a dedication to Lowell's own "Irish" Micky Ward.

"Your Spirit's Alive" was written for the band's dear friend Greg "Chickenman" Riley, who died in a motorcycle accident in 2004. "The Warrior's Code" is about boxing legend Micky Ward, who hails from Lowell, Massachusetts. "Captain Kelly's Kitchen" is another of the band's traditional arrangements. "Sunshine Highway" was the first single from this album and has surfaced in many places including Royal Caribbean's Sports' Deck. "The Green Fields of France" is a cover of a song originally performed by Eric Bogle. The lyrics to "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" come from unpublished Woody Guthrie lyrics, consisting of a short rant by a sailor looking for a wooden leg in Boston. It is similar to "There's Gonna Be a Blackout" from their previous album, Blackout. "Wicked Sensitive Crew" is a spit at the band's critics who claim that they glorify violence and come across as 'tough guys'. "Last Letter Home" was correspondence between American Sgt. Andrew Farrar and his family before his death in the current Iraq War. "Tessie" is a reworking of a Boston Red Sox rally song. On this release, it is called a bonus track because it was already released on the Tessie EP in 2004 during the Red Sox season where they ended up winning the World Series for the first time in 86 years.

Features members June of '44, Rachels, The Sonora Pine, The Shipping News, and Retsin

Includes UNRELEASED BBC studios session from 1994 for the legendary John Peel show

LP Jacket letterpress printed by Jeff Mueller at Desterity Press studio

Remastered at Chicago Mastering Service with Bob Weston

Fifteen Quiet Years is a celebratory document four
years in the making; a repository for all the important Rodan
recordings that fans of Rusty have long wished they could
unearth. The collection includes the 1994 BBC Peel session,
together with all of Rodan's long-out-of-print 7s and
compilation tracks. In 2009, Bob Weston, Jeff Mueller and
Jason Noble lovingly re-mastered the tracks at Chicago
Mastering Service. The packaging for the vinyl album and CD was
designed by Jason Noble and Jeff Mueller, and has been
letterpress printed by Jeff Mueller at his own Dexterity Press
    studio.

Despite the brief time span of their existence (1992-
1994), Rodan appeared on a surprising number of records.
Aside from their classic (and only) full length album Rusty
(1994 on Quarterstick Records), the band released the Aviary
demo cassette, and the How The Winter Was Passed single.
They also contributed tracks to the Compulsiv For Two,
Inclined Plane, and Merry Christmas Is For Rockers
compilations as well as releasing a song on the soundtrack to
the film Half Cocked (in which they also acted), and recording
a brilliant session at the BBC studios in London for the John
    Peel show (unreleased until now).

    Into The Wide

The fourth album from San Diego-bred five-piece Delta Spirit, Into the Wide was born in a flood-ruined, cave-like, rat-colonized room in the band's new hometown of Brooklyn. After spending more than a year writing together in the windowless studio they rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy wreaked its havoc, the group resurfaced with a batch of demos and headed to Georgia to team up with Ben Allen (a
producer/engineer known for his work with artists like Animal Collective and Deerhunter). Recorded near an old shipping yard in Atlanta, Into the Wide intimately captures the claustrophobia of Delta Spirit's creative space, turning that tension into a moody meditation on the restlessness of city life, growing older, and longing for escape. With its lyrics largely inspired by the murder ballads of Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, Into the Wide proves more darkly charged than anything the band's ever offered up before but - thanks to their command of both indelible melody and sprawling, atmospheric arrangements - ultimately emerges as Delta Spirit's most gloriously heavy album so far.

    The Warrior's Code (Colored)

    Pressed On Transparent Brown Vinyl

Featuring The Classic Hip Hop Tracks True Fuschnick, Ring The Alarm And La Schmoove

Even before they made it to the record bins, three-man New York crew Fu-Schnickens created quite a buzz in the hip-hop community with the oddity of their group name. Once they dropped their debut album, F.U. Don't Take It Personal, their music turned out to be every bit as curious and intriguing.

F.U. Don't Take It Personal is the debut studio album by American hip hop group Fu-Schnickens, released February 25, 1992. Recording sessions for the album took place at Battery Studios in New York, New York.

The album peaked at number sixty-four on the Billboard 200 chart. By late 1992, it was certified gold by the RIAA, for shipping 500,000 copies in the United States. The album spawned three popular singles, including Ring The Alarm, True Fuschnick and La Schmoove.

In The Village Voice, Robert Christgau praised Fu-Schnickens' ideas and illusory rhymes, calling the group 'rappers whose visions of fun, agape, and aural conquest remain open-ended, playful, and, face it, silly'.

Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star

Limited Edition Two-Tone Black On Black Picture Disc

Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) will continue its "Respect the Classics" tribute to many of hip-hop's finest with the vinyl release of rap icon Talib Kweli's
four historic Rawkus Records albums, including the underground classic, Mos Def & Talib Kweli are Black Star, in a limited edition two-tone black on black
    picture disc.

Mos Def & Talib Kweli are Black Star was originally released on August 18, 1998, to critical acclaim. The title is a reference to the Black Star Line, a shipping
company founded by Pan-Africanist Marcus Garvey. The album deals with modern-day issues, philosophies and life in Brooklyn. The two MCs had
planned to release solo albums around the same time, but decided instead to collaborate on a full-length album. The first single, "Definition (song)," is a
reaction to hip-hop's fascination with death, dedicated to both Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G., with a chorus that gives a nod to Boogie Down
Productions' "Stop the Violence." "Children's Story" is a re-imagination of the Slick Rick original, featuring Mos Def cautioning against materialism. The
second single, "Respiration," featuring Common, includes a Hi-Tek produced beat that samples Don Randi's "The Fox" and another from the hip-hop
documentary Style Wars. The track offers a melancholy ode to city life, with references to organic life functions such as breathing, eating and sleeping,
but with an ominous edge, as Kweli raps about "sitting on shitty steps/we stooped to new lows, hell froze/the night the city slept." The album peaked at
No. 53 on the Billboard Top 200 and No. 13 on the Hip-Hop Albums chart, but has become considered a classic since then.
