.5: The Gray ChapterGlobal rock juggernauts Slipknot have announced the next phase of their uncompromising history -- the release of ".5: The Gray Chapter" - the fifth studio album from the GRAMMY®-winning group.
Slipknot emerged at the tail end of the Twentieth Century and quickly established itself as the most enigmatic, provocative, and aggressive collective of the modern era. 1999's "SLIPKNOT" stands as a true milestone, named by Metal Hammer as the "Best Debut of the Last 25 Years." They followed up with the number 1 album IOWA which is now double gold in the UK followed by Vol 3: Subliminal Verses and All Hope Is Gone which also both earned the same sales status, the latter debuting in the UK album charts at #2. All told, the band have 11 Platinum and 38 Gold record certifications around the world. Slipknots fanbase is unwavering, and they are global- the band's most recent studio effort, 2008's platinum certified "ALL HOPE IS GONE," debuted at #1 in seven countries, including the U.S.
Surely as iconic as any band in the annals of rock, Slipknot has starred on the cover of innumerable national and international publications, from Rolling Stone, SPIN, and Alternative Press to Guitar World, Revolver, and Billboard. What's more, Slipknot has received myriad honors, awards, and nominations, including a GRAMMY Award for "Best Metal Performance" as well as six further GRAMMY nods, multiple Kerrang! Awards, Revolver Golden Gods Awards, NME Awards, and Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, and nods for both MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Europe Music Awards.
Slipknot has ruled live stages across the planet since their beginning, and currently headline tours and international festivals including Mayhem in the US, the UK's Download Festival, Brazil's Monsters of Rock and Rock In Rio, Australia's Soundwave Festival, and the bands own Ozzfest and Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. 2012 saw the inaugural KNOTFEST draw over 45,000 fans to a pair of daylong festival events headlined and curated by the band.1. Day Of The Gusano (Deluxe)Live At KnotFest, Mexico City, 2015
3x Colored Vinyl + DVD
A genuine sonic phenomenon, a nine-piece force of nature and one of heavy music's most important, recognizable, uncompromising and creatively ingenious bands. Yet to their millions of fans across the world, affectionately known as maggots, SLIPKNOT aren't just a group, they're also a counterculture and a way of life. Those fans play an important role in a new documentary entitled 'Day of The Gusano'.
Directed by SLIPKNOT's own M.Shawn Crahan, aka Clown, Day of The Gusano documents the Iowa band's first ever visit to the country in December 2015 and features exclusive interviews with SLIPKNOT's members talking about the importance of their fanbase and the band's long awaited first ever show in Mexico City.
Talking about the movie, Clown says, SLIPKNOT still has dreams for itself. Finally playing Mexico was one of them. It's been a surreal life of rock and roll for SLIPKNOT and the fact that the dreams still go on for us is simply incredible. Thank you. Guitarist Jim Root continues, We had such a great time at Knotfest Mexico... Not only with all the friends and bands that were there, but with the fans and the crowd we had to document it with. Now we get to share it with the world.
'Day of the Gusano' also chronicles the rabid devotion of the Mexican maggots and sees the band hearing personal, emotive stories from some of their fans, all interspersed with footage from SLIPKNOT's incendiary live show at the inaugural KNOTFEST Mexico. The film features a full surround soundtrack, so you'll not only hear the show, but you'll feel it as if you were actually there.LP 1

Debut Album By Corey Taylor's (Slipknot) And Jim Root's (Slipknot) Other Band
First Time On Vinyl
Stone Sour is an American rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa. To date Stone Sour have released five studio albums. Since 2006, the group has consisted of Corey Taylor (lead vocals), Josh Rand (guitar) and Roy Mayorga (drums). Longtime members Joel Ekman (drums, percussion), Shawn Economaki (bass guitar), and Jim Root (guitar) left the group in 2006, 2011, and 2014 respectively.
Originally released in 2002, Stone Sour is the debut studio album by the band. Writing for the album began in 2000 while vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root were still actively involved in their other band, Slipknot. Work began on the album after Slipknot had gone on hiatus following touring in support of their second album Iowa. Guest musician on the album is Sid Wilson (Slipknot). Following the release of the album, Stone Sour went on to promote it for almost a year; releasing three singles and touring in several regions, including the United States and Europe.
The album received positive reviews. It was praised for showing a diversity in Taylor's vocals. It was certified Gold in the United States. The single Bother, which was featured on the Spider-Man soundtrack (credited only to Taylor), peaked at number 2 on the Mainstream Rock Chart as well as number 4 on the Modern Rock Tracks and 56 on the Billboard Hot 100. The two singles Get Inside and Inhale received Grammy Award nominations for Best Metal Performance in consecutive years.1. Get Inside

All Hope Is Gone (Awaiting Repress)All Hope Is Gone is Slipknots first #1 album and it has brought the group to new heights. The band headlined the inaugural Mayhem festival, embarked on their most successful world tour yet, including a stop at the legendary Madison Square Garden and had two top 10 singles. 2009 is the bands 10th anniversary and is poised to be one of the most exciting of their career.
The fourth release from the hard rock machine from Des Moines, IA, is more of a statement than a record. Corey Taylor comments, Every album we have made is a statement about that space in time. I think this era is the most mature, most beautiful and the most powerful. We have made an album that will show the road behind, the road ahead, and where we are as men. I think it's the best thing I've ever made. And I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. The album blends elements of 2004's Vol 3: (The Subliminal Verses) and 2001's Iowa, while adding a perspective, freshness and depth that only three years apart can bring. All Hope Is Gone was recorded this in Slipknot's home state and is co-produced by the band and Dave Fortman.1. Execute
