    MASSEDUCTION (Deluxe Edition)

    Pressed On Pink Vinyl

Housed In A Translucent PVC Sleeve

    Includes 24 x 24 Foldout Poster, Sticker Sheet & 28-Page Booklet

St. Vincent - aka Annie Clark - has announced her new album, 'MASSEDUCTION,' to be released via Loma Vista Recordings. Themes of power and sex, imperiled relationships and death slice through the album, Clark's first since her 2014 breakout 'St. Vincent.' The thirteen tracks on 'MASSEDUCTION' swirl with guitar and piano, synths and strings, and drum beats that punch with purpose. The album was co-produced by St. Vincent and Jack Antonoff at Electric Lady Studios in Manhattan, with additional recording at Rough Consumer Studio in Brooklyn, and Compound Fracture in Los Angeles.

"Every record I make has an archetype," says Clark. "'Strange Mercy' was Housewives on Pills. 'St. Vincent' was Near-Future Cult Leader. 'MASSEDUCTION' is different, it's pretty first person. You can't fact-check it, but if you want to know about my life, listen to this record."

'MASSEDUCTION' is the culmination of years of writing, with songs crafted from voice memos, text messages, and snippets of melodies that came to Clark while traveling the globe. Special guests on the album include Thomas Bartlett on piano, Kamasi Washington on saxophone, Jenny Lewis on vocals, and beat production from Sounwave. Greg Leisz and Rich Hinman add pedal steel, and Tuck and Patti Andress contribute guitar and vocals respectively on select tracks.

St. Vincent's 2014 self-titled album was her best-reviewed and best-selling to date, topping many year-end lists and culminating in her first GRAMMY® nomination and win for Best Alternative Music Album in 2015. Shortly after the album's release Clark performed with a re-formed Nirvana at the 2014 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and on the 2014 season finale of Saturday Night Live. In 2015 Clark won the ASCAP Vanguard Award and she was 2017's Record Store Day Ambassador.

    St. Vincent

Annie Clark, better known by her stage name, St. Vincent, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She began her music career as a
member of The Polyphonic Spress and was also part of Sufjan Stevens' touring band before forming her own band in 2006. Annie currently resides in
    Manhattan.

Her debut album was Marry Me, and was followed by Actor (2009). Her third album Strange Mercy was released on September 13, 2011.
Clark has opened shows for such acts as Television, Arcade Fire, Andrew Bird, Jolie Holland, John Vanderslice, Death Cab for Cutie and Grizzly Bear.

Teased late last year in a series of cryptic status updates, the forthcoming self-titled album from St. Vincent is one of the most anticipated of 2014.

The album was produced by John Congleton and features Dap-Kings drummer Homer Steinweiss and Midlake's McKenzie Smith on percussion. I knew the groove needed to be paramount, Annie Clark said in a press release. I wanted to make a party record you could play at a funeral.

    St. Vincent Soundtrack + Score

    180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl

    Including 2 Inserts

2 LP Set Contains The Original Score By Theodore Shapiro + The Soundtrack Featuring Tweedy, Bob Dylan, The National And Jefferson Airplane

First Pressing Of 1000 Numbered Copies On Blue Marbled Vinyl

The Soundtrack to the comedy drama St. Vincent (starring Academy Award® nominees Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy and Naomi Watts), is an irresistible compilation of evergreens and newer hits - including songs from Bob Dylan, The National, and Jefferson Airplane.

This At The Movies release is a very interesting package: next to presenting the song soundtrack, we've also included the Original Score by Theodore Shapiro on a second disc. Each copy of the first pressing is individually numbered and pressed on blue marbled vinyl.

The soundtrack album includes classics from the 1960s and 1970s, such as Bob Dylan's "Shelter From The Storm" from the 1975 album Blood On The Tracks. Tweedy provides two songs: the funky "Everybody Hides" and the laid-back "Why, Why, Why". In between comes a contrasting classic, the straight-hitting vocals of Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody To Love". This was the band's first and biggest hit, a single from the album Surrealistic Pillow in 1967.

    Actor

Actor is the highly anticipated new album by St. Vincent (Annie Clark), and the follow-up to her first album Marry Me, one of the most acclaimed debuts of 2007. Actor was co-produced by Clark and John Congleton (Modest Mouse, Polyphonic Spree etc.) and features eleven new songs, all written and arranged by Clark. The new album takes the ambitious compositional and sonic underpinnings of Clark's debut as a starting point and never looks back. The arrangements are more masterful, the songwriting grander, the performances ever more confident and inspired. Clark sings and plays guitar, bass and keys on Actor, with woodwind contributions from Hideaki Aomori (Sufjan Stevens) and Alex Sopp (Bjork, Phillip Glass), and additional rhythm section work by McKenzie Smith and Paul Alexander of Midlake. Other musicians on the album include Mike Atkinson (French horn, score consultant), Daniel Hart (violin, sarongi), William Flynn (bass) and percussionists Jeff Ryan, Matthias Bossi and Aynsley Powell. Before recording as St. Vincent, Annie Clark was a member of The Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens' touring band, and performed with Glenn Branca's guitar orchestra.

    Marry Me

St. Vincent is the moniker of singer/multi-instrumentalist/composer Annie Clark and this is her debut full-length. She's opened for such diverse acts as Television, Jose Gonzalez, and Sufjan Stevens, and she's an inventive and versatile guitarist who has also performed with avant-garde composer Glenn Branca. On this record, she writes cinematic pop epics that feel at times like Paris in the 20s before all the fun ended. Or, conversely, an orchestra of pure modernity - a new American music, informed by jazz, gospel blues, Southern folk music, and classical composition but, in the end, an animal original unto itself. She's been compared to everyone from Bjork to Kate Bush to Jeff Buckley, and her beautiful voice melds perfectly with her intricate guitar work.

    Love This Giant

Recorded over two years largely at Water Music in Hoboken, NJ, the album is a collaboration in the truest sense of the word, with Byrne and St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) co-writing ten of the album's twelve tracks, and each artist penning one song individually. The album centers around an explosive brass band and is propelled by John Congleton's drum programming!

There was no delineating what the roles were, explains Clark of the recording. It's a collaboration I'm truly proud of. The duo also split lyrical and vocal duties on the record, which despite eschewing a traditional guitar/bass/drums lineup in favor of idiosyncratic horn arrangements, presents itself as infectious and modern hook-laden rock.

Byrne and Clark met in 2009 at the 'Dark Was the Night' benefit at Radio City Music Hall and were approached shortly after by the Housing Works Bookstore to collaborate on a night of music. They began composing remotely, trading song ideas and structures online while Clark toured and it quickly became apparent that they had more than just one night of music in them!!

Byrne performed with Clark at her 'American Songbook' show at Lincoln Center in 2010, and Clark contributed vocals to Byrne's Here Lies Love album, released the same year.

Lisbon was recorded over the course of eight months beginning in the fall of 2009 with You & Me producer Chris Zane (Passion Pit, Les Savy Fav, Tokyo Police Club). The band then traveled to Dallas to finish the album with producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Explosions in the Sky). Wye Oak wrote what became Civilian between December of 2009 and July of 2010. After recording and mixing previous albums themselves, Wye Oak brought in mixing engineer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Shearwater), who played a pivotal role in the sound of Civilian.

Civilian is imbued with dense shoegaze guitars, nearly melodic rhythms, and impeccable splashes of electronic color. The songs beguile with fascinating chords and melodies, Jenn Wasner's voice and riveting lyrics, mesmerizing rhythms, and an intoxicating aural landscape. Just as good writing has meaning between the lines, Civilian has meaning between the sounds: the combinations of harmonies, timbres, and words summon vivid and ineffable associations just beyond reach.

Drawing on her experiences of the last year, Cate created collection of pop nuggets imbued with the playfulness of Faust and Syd Barrett and the tropical melodies of Os Mutantes. Thao Nguyen observes, We The Common is an album about wanting to be a human who tries and is grateful for the opportunity. It is about wanting to be better and closer to people. Domino is pleased to announce the release of One Breath, the new album from Anna Calvi. One Breath is a bold and confident record that begins an exciting new chapter in this uniquely talented artist's career.

Produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, The Walkmen, Clinic) in Blackbox Studios, France and mixed in Dallas, Texas, USA, One Breath was written in a year and recorded over a few intense weeks.

One Breath is a more personal record than its Mercury and Brit nominated predecessor. Reflective and vulnerable, it strikes a balance between optimism and despair, beauty and ugliness. The fiery elements of Anna's debut remain, but One Breath is more instinctive and urgent, revealing a wider spectrum of textures and emotion.

"One Breath is the moment before you've got to open yourself up, and it's about how terrifying that is. It's scary and it's thrilling. It's also full of hope, because whatever has to happen hasn't happened yet." - Anna Calvi

post punk and indie rock 'n' roll circa 1989-1991, exploring the sonic adventurers and emotional heft of artists such as Roxy Music, Wire, and Nick Cave &
    The Bad Seeds.

The guitars are rich and atmospheric, the rhythms subtle and fluid yet more powerful at the same time. Throughout the album, singer SeanVan Vleet's
raw croon rises to match the band's musicality, conveying anxieties, secrets, and a heartfelt longing for transcendence.

    Glean

Glean is the upcoming seventeenth studio album by They Might Be Giants. It includes songs direct from the first weeks of their Dial-A-Song service. The range of these recordings is truly staggering. From the manic violin-driven ''Music Jail, Pt. 1 & 2'' to the bluesy grinding of ''Underwater Woman,'' Glean comprises some of They Might Be Giants' most vital work of their 30+ year career. With the album, TMBG's sound is in equal turns as rocking, surprising, effervescent, and truly original as they have ever been. The highly anticipated album is produced with long-time collaborator Pat Dillett (St. Vincent, Mike Doughty, Donald Fagen, Mary J. Blige, David Byrne, etc), and comes hot on the heels of 2013 s wildly popular Nanobots.

    I Like Fun (Pre-Order)

They Might Be Giants is back! The Brooklyn originals can't stop and won't stop, with 2018 already destined to be one of their most magnificent and productive years to date. Thirty-five years deep into their epic career, this January will see the release of their brand-new studio album I Like Fun.

The fifteen-track album was produced with and mixed by Patrick Dillett (St. Vincent, David Byrne, Mary J. Blige, The National, Donald Fagen) and recorded at Reservoir Studios (the former Skyline Studios where TMBG recorded their platinum album Flood). The lead track "I Left My Body" is a prime slice of the power They Might Be Giants commands. Hyper-melodic, fresh, and ever rocking, They Might Be Giants' formidable live lineup enjoys a reputation for delivering one of the best shows around, and this album is a real showcase for that musical energy. I Like Fun jumps with surprises, vitality, and the startling, singular point of view TMBG always delivers.

    White Wilderness

The newest entry into John Vanderslice's deep and undeniably remarkable catalog is White Wilderness, and it's a record like no other he's made before. These nine new and wildly impressive JV songs were captured live over three days in a unique collaboration with the Magik*Magik Orchestra, a collective of classically trained musicians in the Bay Area led by artistic director Minna Choi.

The Magik*Magik Orchestra have a comprehensive mastery of classic performance and repertoire, but also have a full appreciation of the aesthetics of indie and underground music. Choi arranged and conducted White Wilderness with 19 members of the Magik*Magik playing strings and horns, vibraphone, pedal steel and piano, an assortment of reed instruments, and much to JV's benefit, the voice of Minna Choi singing backup at key moments throughout the album.

Recorded in San Francisco, White Wilderness was produced by John Congleton, whose resume includes albums by St Vincent, The Walkmen, Explosions in the Sky, Bill Callahan and many more. The results are stunning, and White Wilderness is a breath of fresh air for JV, as well as a great stake in the ground for his career of making stellar records.

    The Body Wins

Sarah Jaffe started work on The Body Wins the day she bought a bass and a drum set at a pawnshop. That day, she wrote the rhythmic A Sucker For Your Marketing and her second full-length began to take shape. Jaffe had pent-up creative energy inside her, after spending most of the year traveling and touring behind her debut Suburban Nature, and she explores it with abandon here.

There's a side of The Body Wins that didn't exist with Jaffe on her debut and it has a newfound pulse to it, more than a heartbeat, not quite a breakbeat. Glorified High, the first single perfectly captures that with a chorus that smacks you in the chest and lovingly lingers.

The Body Wins may sound different to those introduced to Jaffe through Suburban Nature and it should as it's more of a product of everywhere she's been, literally and figuratively, and a hint of everywhere she might go from here. Produced by John Congelton (St. Vincent, Walkmen, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Explosions in the Sky.)

    L1 EP

For much of the Brooklyn duo's career, Beacon has worked
with a kind of effervescent, forward-looking R&B that evokes
out-of-body experiences, but with their new L1 EP, the music
is anchored assuredly to your flesh, bone, and physical
senses. The brawny synth timbres which open lead track
Fault Lines and the stomping beats bolstering gauzy
falsettos on confident songs like Minor Structure set the
tone for a new phase in Beacon's evolution, one geared
toward the movements and magnetism of human bodies. As
producer Jacob Gossett puts it, Our records have often been
described as moments after the night has given way, a
'comedown after the club.' Hopefully, this record inspires
people to go back out for one more.

Mixed by Al Carlson-who has worked on Autre Ne Veut's
Anxiety and St. Vincent's Marry Me, among many other
notable records-L1's five tracks focus on themes provided
by a natural phenomenon in gravitational physics known as
Lagrangian points. The title itself refers to the point in space
where a satellite can fall in synchronous orbit with the earth
around the sun, caught between the two gravitational pulls
and never falling out of sync. With a breathy voice that
sounds as vulnerable as it does touchingly sanguine, singer
and producer Thomas Mullarney III translates the idea to
nuanced musings on internal conflict, human relationships,
and questions about desire, guilt, and pleasure. I wanted to
stage intimacy and desire as natural forces," explains
Mullarney, "spinning with reflex and intuition, caught within
    different spheres of influence."

    Gunnera

Pfarmers is the new project from Danny Seim (Menomena, Lackthereof), Bryan Devendorf
(The National), and Dave Nelson (David Byrne & St. Vincent, Sufjan Stevens).

Danny and Bryan have been friends since The National and Menomena toured together
in the early 2000s. Their paths crossed several times since then, most recently backstage
at a festival, where Bryan showed Danny some severly damaged, synth-affected
drumbeats he had recorded with his friend Dave, sho was currently playing horns in David
Byrne's band. Shortly after, Pfarmers was born.

According to Seim, "The record is about a dream I had where I'm reluctantly accepting a
fear of drowning by focusing on being reincarnated as a giant Gunnera plant, which thrive
on the banks of rivers (specifically the Jordan River i.e. the Biblical promised land) after I
paint myself gold and sink to the bottom like the El Dorado of South American folklore."

Despite the notoriety of it's members, Pfarmers sounds unlike anything they've produced
before. The first track "Benthos" is a sprawling ambient piece comprised of looping,
layered horns. The album then launches into a set of pop songs, reminiscent of Lackthereof
(Danny's solo project), as played by Kraftwerk. Devendorf's trademark drum style is
present, but here they're filtered so heavily as to sound mechanical. Seim contributes
layered vocals, and thick bass brooves, while Nelson provides complex spatial arrangements.

It's a diverse record, switching swiftly between catchy pop songs and long instrumental
breaks. It's a rich and rewarding album, for those willing to dive in.
