(Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Star Trek, The Incredibles)
This summer, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Live At The Jazz MillPressed On Red Vinyl
Unearthed tape from a jazz icon. Thanks to a 21-year-old with a tape machine, we can all experience the majesty of guitar legend Barney Kessel at his 1954 best!
Even if you don't know Barney Kessel, you know Barney Kessel -- as a first-string member of the group of LA session musicians nicknamed The Wrecking Crew, Kessel's guitar is heard on just about every LA-based hit you'd care to name from the 60s, including songs by the Monkees and The Beach Boys' legendary Smile LP. And that's Kessel's playing on the famous fight music from the Star Trek TV series. He was regarded as the very best of the session guitarists by just about everyone around, and guitarists everywhere site him as an influence.
But before he played rock and roll, Kessel was a jazz pioneer -- as one of the leading lights of the hard-bop movement, his jazz guitar was legendary, and he was ranked the No. 1 guitarist in Down Beat and Playboy for numerous years. He played with Sonny Rollins and Oscar Peterson (and Chico Marx -- yes, that Chico Marx!) as well as leading his own super-tight group. On albums such as The Poll Winners, Kessel defined the bop style with a jazz power trio, creating a body of work that made him a legend.
Live At The Jazz Mill is a unique artifact -- recorded on a tape recorder by young jazz fan Jack Miller, this live recording catches Barney Kessel in the middle of his run at the Jazz Mill with a great four-piece band. The collection, gleaned from a couple of nights' best recordings, features Kessel's spirited take on such Songbook classics as Get Happy and Stardust, not to mention the Gershwin great Embraceable You. It's pressed on red vinyl and wrapped in a sleeve which captures the unique vibe of jazz graphics of the 1950s. Get with Barney Kessel, and get with a true pioneer of the jazz form!1. Hoist (stylized as (Hoist)) is the fifth official studio album by the American rock band Phish, originally released in 1994. At the time of its release, Hoist was Phish's best selling album to date, peaking at #34 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
The band suggested a few ideas for the album's title before finally settling on Hoist; one of the alternative suggestions was Hung Like a Horse. The band ruled this out, but decided to keep the visual joke intact for the album's cover. The horse is also a reference to The Horse, the only song not visually depicted on the cover of Rift, the band's previous album.
Hoist features guest appearances from Alison Krauss, BÉla Fleck and a host of other musicians, as well as actor Jonathan Frakes on trombone. With its jazz, blues, soul and bluegrass influences, the album is marked by more stripped-down, straightforward songwriting and pop-friendly hooks, a somewhat new approach for Phish.
However, the album's final track, Demand, segues into an extended instrumental excerpt from the April 21, 1993, live performance of the song Split Open and Melt, followed by the first verse and refrain of the Hebrew song Yerushalayim Shel Zahav (Jerusalem of Gold).
Riker's Mailbox is a brief interlude track on the album, and the only song on the album to have never been performed live by the band. Album producer Paul Fox lived next to Jonathan Frakes, whose mailbox is apparently uniquely decorated. Frakes, who played Commander Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation, sat in for a while during the Hoist sessions, giving his name to the track.
Hoist was certified gold by the RIAA in August of 1996.LP 1

4th Street FeelingWhat's the 4th Street Feeling?
"4th Street is in Leavenworth," says Melissa Etheridge.
That's her home town in Kansas, pop. 35,000, known mostly for its prison and Army base.
And it's the place evoked in the title, and title song, of 4th Street Feeling, the 12th studio album of her singular, 25-year recording career.
"It's kind of the main drag, starting in the old downtown," she says of her old stomping grounds. "I remember the first McDonald's in town there. The town's pretty small. That's where we would hang out, the Burger King parking lot, the football games. Everything was on Fourth Street. That's where we would cruise. And then it turns into Highway 7 that goes out of town to Kansas City."
That's exactly where the album opens, with the bluesy, harmonica-spiced "Kansas City." The scene is set with Etheridge driving in "my old man's Delta 88," reliving road-trips fueled on "Lucky Charms, Tic Tacs and Mom's amphetamines." Only this time, the woman who left Leavenworth for Hollywood years ago is taking herself - and us - home. It's a trip to where she's from. But also a trip to where she's headed.
There are "all the untold lies of my misspent youth," as she sings in the funky coming-of-age tale "The Shadow of the Black Crow," a song in the storytelling tradition of such cherished artists as the Eagles and Bob Seger. There is the demand to "Be Real" ("You can't manufacture me, because I like it naturally"), a song in which she says she nods lovingly to the sultry, sexy soul of Rufus with Chaka Khan and Sly and the Family Stone. And she voyages into new territories of folky rock with the first single, "Falling Up," a joyful, upbeat track featuring her spirited recording debut on the banjitar, a hybrid banjo-guitar.
The fuel for this trek is her inner strength and confidence. In part it comes from recognition - 2011 has seen her awarded with a star on the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame, and in the Fall of 2012 she will be honored by the National Women's Museum of Art in Washington, DC. But more so, if it comes from within.
"There's a certain confidence and assurance I get from all this, knowing that I can keep my day job," she laughs. "That shows on this album. I am fearless on this. I'm going to have fun. I had to love every note on this album."1. Kansas City

Europe '72 Vol. 2 (Out Of Stock)This exclusive Record Store Day vinyl version of Europe 72 Vol. 2. LP includes a bonus track not found on the CD version; Big Railroad Blues recorded at the Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen (4/17/72).
Europe '72, a triple live album documenting its historic trek across Europe became not only one of the band's best-selling releases, but also set the gold standard for live Dead. Now the group proves you can never get too much of a good thing when it revisits that legendary collection with Europe '71 Vol. 2, an essential continuation of the original that includes more than two hours of unreleased performances from that storied tour.
Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux, who produced this 20-track compilation, says he only chose song titles that did not appear on Europe '72 as a way to complement the original. I think this album, coupled with Europe '72, represents a complete overview of the tour in every way, he says. In fact, songs like Beat It On Down The Line, Next Time You See Me and Sing Me Back Home were selected by the Grateful Dead for the first set, but were left off because there wasn't enough room.
In a nod to the original, Vol. 2 features new cover art by Stanley Mouse, the artist who helped create the iconic artwork from Europe '72, which features the return of the legendary Ice Cream Kid. Trouble comes in many flavors. Ice Cream Kid is in hot water. The jury is out. His only defense is love, says Mouse of the Kid's return.
Recorded at various locations during the band's 22-show tour, the collection captures the Dead in white-hot moments of improvisational revelry as the band explores a number of its most enduring songs, like Bertha, Sugaree and Playing In the Band, plus relatively obscure cuts like Black-Throated Wind and Pigpen's Chinatown Shuffle.
As a special treat, the set includes an epic hour-plus jam that combines Dark Star and The Other One. Recorded at the Bickershaw Festival, it was the only show on this tour where the band broke out both of these beloved improvisational showpieces. Vol. 2 also includes Good Lovin and Dire Wolf from the April 26 show at Jahrhundert Halle in Frankfurt, West Germany. While much of that concert was released on 1995's Hundred Year Hall, these particular tracks were not included and have remained unreleased until now.LP1
