Stay GoldJacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, the Tulsa, Oklahoma institution founded by pianist Brian Haas returns with a new full length album, Stay Gold. The effort refines JFJO's singular vision that's been dubbed 'Red Dirt Jazz,' sounding equal parts earthy and nimble, pastoral and sweeping, elegant and free. The quartet taps into their birthright, drawing upon 'The Tulsa Sound' born of hometown heroes like JJ Cale, Bob Wills and Leon Russell, while growing these roots from a jazz foundation that's built firmly upon the influence of giants such as Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk, JFJO recorded the album at acclaimed engineer/musician David Teegarden's Natura Digital Recording Studios just outside of Tulsa. Gold NightsFemale/male duo White Hex (Tara Green and Jimi Kritzler)
released their debut album Heat in 2012 released on Avant!
Records. 2014 sees their return with the follow up full-length,
Gold Nights. The album is the second in a series of three
thematically connected records which is based on a period of
three years. The album's themes include tackling the deaths of
friends over the past few years and somehow staying optimistic
through that loss.
Recorded after shows in Paris, Berlin, New York and Melbourne,
Gold Nights explores Italo disco, minimalist techno and the more
primitive end of 1980's German underground. They embrace their
love of high fashion, 1980's New York vogue techno and the
mutant explorations of Whitehouse, Arthur Russell, Craig Leon
and Gianni Rossi. Gold Nights retains certain elements of their
beloved debut, but moves in a more sophisticated direction as a
result of White Hex's vision and with the help of producer Alex

Elvis Aaron Presley was born during the Great Depression into a poor family in Mississippi. They moved to Memphis during the early
fifties, and as a struggling young truck driver, Elvis cut some demos as a gift for his beloved mother Gladys. These initial songs, of which he
had only paid a few dollars to record, would become the catalyst that would kick-start the beginnings of a soon to be worldwide superstar
unlike the world has ever known.
The folks at RCA Victor knew that this young fellow named Elvis was destined for superstardom. They quickly signed the legend to a
long-term deal, and his first RCA single Heartbreak Hotel forever etched "The King Of Rock And Roll" trademark to his name. He would eventually become the most successful solo artist of all time!
From the remainder of the 1960's into the late 1970's, Elvis Presley would release many more hit albums, smash singles and movies
before his untimely passing in 1977. Ever proving that he was indeed on top of his game, RCA Victor awarded their superstar artist and his fans
with the King's fifth greatest hits collection Elvis' Gold Records Volume 5.
Featuring a treasure trove of his most familiar top charting hit singles Elvis' Gold Records Volume 5 went on to achieve gold status and
become one of his most memorable titles in his huge arsenal of masterful rock and roll albums.
Thanks to his finest rock smashes like Burning Love, Moody Blue, In the Ghetto and his landmark Memphis session groover Suspicious
Minds, this collection of Elvis Presley's biggest hits were just what the fans were screaming for, and the entire album was built around the
framework of his rocking trademark sound. The 1984 album also was another blockbuster for The King truly proving once again that his career
was unlike any other in music history.
Elvis' Gold Records Volume 5 also included some of his finest ballads like Kentucky Rain and his monumental NBC TV Comeback Special
smash If I Can Dream. In total, the album showcases ten important Elvis Presley hit recordings which have truly gone on to become definitive

Staying At Tamara'sStaying At Tamara's is the highly anticipated sophomore album from George Ezra. This collection was written, created and inspired by George's travels, including spells on the Isle of Skye; at a pig farm in Norfolk; in a former cornflour shed in Kent; a converted cow shed in north Wales; and in an Airbnb in Barcelona owned by the Tamara of the album's title. The result is a finger-snapping, brass-blaring, wind-in-the-hair album that shines with positivity and encouragement, alongside moments of more subdued reflection.
The first single from Staying At Tamara's is the uninhibited, feel-good song 'Paradise.' George explains that "'Paradise' started life as a melody that I couldn't get out of my head Months later I set to writing a song highlighting the undeniable feeling of meeting somebody new and falling for them. We often find ourselves second guessing feelings that we have and trying to work out what it is that they might mean. But with love there is no uncertainty, it is what it is and I liken it to paradise." The new album also includes the previously released track "Don't Matter Now."
Staying At Tamara's comes three years after George's debut album Wanted On Voyage, that featured the worldwide smash "Budapest," a Platinum US single. The Wanted On Voyage album is certified Gold in the US, and 4x Platinum in the UK.1. pretty shining people

Gold: Their Great Hits
Single 33 1/3 RPM LP Includes Poster Insert
Mastering By Kevin Gray At Cohearent Audio
Mastered From The Original Analog Tapes
200-Gram Plating And Pressing By Quality Record Pressings
Get your motor runnin' baby - Steppenwolf's Gold: Their Great Hits took its title literally. The towering rock album success rang in at No. 24 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart and became certified gold for record sales in excess of 500,000 units by the Record Industry Association of America (RIAA) in April 1971.
AllMusic praised the production and engineering of most of the tracks and called it a nearly perfect introduction to the band. Acoustic Sounds and Analogue Productions want to introduce you to the most sonically perfect version of this historic album you've ever heard on vinyl. Our 200-gram 33 1/3 RPM reissue was remastered from the original analog tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Sound and plated and pressed by Gary Salstrom and his crew at Quality Record Pressings, makers of the world's finest-sounding LPs.
The Canadian-American rock band, named for Hermann Hesse's mystical novel, rocketed to worldwide fame after their third single Born to Be Wild dropped in 1968. The song and Steppenwolf's version of Hoyt Axton's The Pusher figured prominently in the 1969 counterculture cult film Easy Rider, and both show up on Gold's track list. Two other singles on this stunning album compilation also cracked the Top 10 on the charts: Magic Carpet Ride and Rock Me.
Magic Carpet Ride was released in 1968 on the album The Second. It was written by band members John Kay and Rushton Moreve, peaked at No. 3 in the U.S. and stayed on the charts for 16 weeks, longer than any other Steppenwolf song.
You also get the Don Covay soul cover Sookie, Sookie, which got airplay on some soul stations nationwide, as well as rock 'n' roll radio. Gold also includes Hey Lawdy Mama the hit studio single from Steppenwolf Live.
Steppenwolf enjoyed worldwide success from 1968 to 1972, when clashing personalities ultimately broke up the core group after a farewell concert in Los Angeles on Valentine's Day, 1972. Today, John Kay remains as the only original Steppenwolf member.

J. J. Cale: Collected (Gold Vinyl) (Pre-Order)
Limited Pressing Of 3,000 Individually Numbered Copies On 180 Gram Gold Vinyl
Collected, the ultimate J.J. Cale collection from 2013 already proved to be a highlight of Music On Vinyl's catalog. Now we're revisiting this essential compilation in a slightly slimmer package: without printed innersleeves, and with a 4-page booklet instead of the 8 pages of liner note material previously included.
This American cult legend has turned his laidback style into a trademark. J.J. Cale has forged an inspiring career that spans four decades. He received his first major exposure in 1970 thanks to Eric Clapton, who turned J.J. Cale's After Midnight into a hit song overnight. A few years later, Clapton repeated the trick with Cocaine.
But the legacy of J.J. Cale has much more to offer: collected on three 180 gram LPs chock full of rootsy Americana songs that will stay in the back of your head long after you turned off the record player.LP 1

The OrnamentNothing gold can stay. Even as he tried to capture it in verse, Robert Frost appreciated the ephemeral nature of beauty. And so does Grant Olsen. Yet a nod to the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet is only one of the reasons the Seattle-based songwriter, best known as half of the duo Arthur & Yu, christened his new project Gold Leaves. An autumnal character imbues these nine originals. Just as foliage buds, changes color, and eventually falls from the branches every season, so too do themes of birth, death and regeneration permeate The Ornament.
Like most creative types, Olsen's muse is always in transition. The album went through myriad permutations between inception and completion. Although he began work on it nearly four years ago, he scrapped the bulk of those early efforts after a bag containing his laptop and notebooks was stolen. The theft seemed a sign. Perhaps he was writing a second Arthur & Yu album? No. In the space of composing and refining The Ornament, Olsen had married, traveled through Central and South America, seen the birth of new family members, and watched a dear one pass. This transitional period was coupled with observations of his nation in flux, all of which informs the universe of this record. While he hoped to open these subjects up in a manner that would permit a broad range of listeners to relate to the sentiments, he recognized that their inciting intimacy precluded turning these songs into Arthur & Yu tunes.
Although he wrote all the songs, calling Gold Leaves a solo project is a misnomer. Olsen had a great deal of help making The Ornament. Jason Quever of Papercuts was by his side through most of the recording process, serving as co-producer, engineer, and multiinstrumentalist. Quever helped guide editorial choices, keeping scratch vocals when Olsen wanted to go back into the vocal booth and try again, and laid down the four-in-the-morning cello part that haunts Hanging Window. With a resume that encompasses tutelage under Motown veterans and credits with Beach House and Brightblack Morning Light, Ben McConnell was an ideal percussionist to anchor Olsen's amorphous musical ideas. Thao Ngyuen (Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, Thao & Mirah), Amy Blaschke, and members of the Moondoggies all contributed backing vocals.1. The Silver Lining

RuinsRuins is the new and eagerly awaited album from Swedish sister duo First Aid Kit. This new album finds First Aid Kit as you've never heard them before: wounded and biting back hard. While Ruins follows the traditions of the classic folk rock sound that First Aid Kit revived via their breakthrough album Stay Gold (2014) and previous releases The Big Black And The Blue (2010) and The Lion's Roar (2012), the difference is that this time they've lived, and the results are intense.
Tracks such as Rebel Heart the album's opener documents a love doomed from the start. It's A Shame the lead single is a plea to live in the moment because everyone disposes of each other eventually. On Postcard and To Live A Life, you feel the breath-stealing weight of despair when a shattered love leaves you bereft of hope. Fireworks introverts the blame with self-loathing.
In many ways, First Aid Kit's largest asset is their biggest problem. Their voices are so damn pretty. The [previous] records were always so perfect, says Johanna Söderberg. On Ruins, the duo didn't want it to feel perfect. They wanted it to feel rough and wrenching. Johanna comments further, Given the material, the lyrics had to be the focus. These sentiments didn't need to be dressed up. They needed to be naked.
Ruins was made with one target in mind: make it sound more real a result the Söderberg sisters clearly achieved.1. Rebel Heart

Future ThisRunning in at 10-tracks and 45 minutes, Future This commands your attention from start to finish. Opener and first single, Stay Gold, is a track written about doing what makes you happy, so immediate you could be forgiven for thinking theyve not been away. From there, the album is paced perfectly, with future live anthems (Rubbernecking, 1313, Jump Music), counterbalanced with a set of songs that show a more subtle side (Hit The Ground (Superman), Give It Up and title track Future This).
Each song has its own message, mostly positive, and help highlight Robbie Furze's progress as both a lyricist and singer. By the time you reach album closer, the mournful 77, its already demanding repeat visits. With graffiti a recurrent theme, the band wanted the finishing touches to Future This to lie with the celebrated artist KR (the man behind Krink), who by used his distinct paint style to give the albums sleeve a fresh update on the legacy of 4AD's record design. Future This sounds like an album theyve enjoyed making, showing they still have a hunger, are still delivering on that early promise and are always looking forward.1. Stay Gold

Rock N Roll AnimalRock N Roll Animal is a live album by Lou Reed, originally released by RCA Records in 1974. In its original form, it features five songs, four of which are Velvet Underground songs. The musicians were Pentti Glan (drums) and Prakash John (bass), Ray Colcord (keyboards), and Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter on guitars. (The two guitarists would later form the basis of the second Alice Cooper band, beginning on Welcome to My Nightmare, which also features Glan and John.)
The album was recorded live on December 21, 1973, at Howard Stein's Academy of Music in New York City. A sleeper hit, it peaked at #45 on the Billboard album chart during a twenty-eight week stay before earning Reed's first RIAA gold certification in 1978.1. Intro / Sweet Jane

Tove Lo will release her highly anticipated debut album, Queen Of The Clouds.
This full-length features her U.S. Top 40 hit Habits (Stay High), which was recently certified gold by the RIAA and is now approaching platinum status in
Tove Lo first entered the pop arena earlier this year in March with the reease of her critically acclaimed debut EP, Truth Serum, and widely appraised live
performances at this 2014's SXSW in Austin, TX. Hot on the heels of her debut single Habits (Stay High), which amassed an impressive 12 million+
views on YouTube, Tove Lo went on to sell-out shows in New York and Los Angeles.
Swedish songbird Tove Lo is rapidly winning over North American audiences. The sparkly, synth-ridden track, Nylon said of 'Habits (Stay High)', is an
irresistible dance floor number with a decidedly dark backbone - using substances to deal with heartbreak - and according to the singer, creating a slick
pop jam like this one is her way of dealing with relationship obstacles. 'For me it's easier to write songs about my feelings rather than talking them out with

Chicago IX: Chicago's Greatest Hits
Cut From Analogue Masters
With a career spanning over 46 years to the present day, Chicago have firmly established themselves as one of the most successful rock bands in history, boasting 22 gold, 18 platinum, and 8 multi-platinum albums. The band began as a politically charged, somewhat experimental, rock band that later progressed onto a predominantly softer melodic sound. They found vast international fame thanks to a number of hit ballads within their astonishing 21 top-ten singles.
Released in 1975 Chicago IX: Chicago's Greatest Hits was Chicago's first greatest hits album. It reached #1 in the US during a chart stay of an incredible 72 weeks and went on to go 5 x Platinum in the US.1. 25 Or 6 To 4

New Masses For Squaw PeakNew Masses for Squaw Peak gifts unto us bold, surprising new textures and denser, cheekier ideas and themes. Its packed tight with style: gauze-flange experimentation; jazz-chord death-pop; shifty proto-prog; historical and personal mythologies weaved through its passages. Yet, claustrophobic it is not. New Masses for Squaw Peak is as wide-open of a landscape as its title may suggest. It is also a well-traveled collection of songs: laid to tape in the belly of an abandon Philadelphia textile factory; run through three mixing boards by three separate sets of hands; and ultimately sculpted into its final form by the gentlemen to conjured it in the first place. And oh joy, what conjuring.
Mystics Pharaohs (Masc. Pharaohs) begins with a big, fat wink to Enos Here Come the Warm Jets (a hallmark of Squaw Peak) before descending into its own purply blackhole of dark, dissonant whitefunk. A metallic sonic fog allows guitar stabs and squalls, and the pings of ringleader Nathan Pembertons vocal calls, to hit you twice then thrice, then unravel out into the cosmos. All players here (multi-instrumentalists Josh Martin and Brian Forfa; and drummer John Frank) are using both sides of the brain at every turn, the instinctual, tribal rhythm with which we are born and the semi-learned, nervy way we manipulate that instinct. The instinct that tells us to stay and play inside our comfort zone, and the secret instinct to see what lies just beyond its boundary. Cor-Du-Roi, another standout, is almost perpendicular to Mystics Pharoahs with its shambling, assured pace and melodies all tinny and distant. Its a risky number for Holiday Shores in its maturity and subtle composition. It also just might be their most inspired, beautiful piece to date. We find this kind of maturity and patience again with deep-cut Coming to Shores, an ambient-pop sci-fi wash that almost falls into the new classical phylum.
Pemberton and Martin prove time and again that they share more than just a keyboard table in the live setting; they share an endlessly searching, creative brain. Pembertons jazz keyboards are often interlocked with Martins plinkety-plankety lyrical guitar. On Shadie Spun Gold and in other spots, like pulsing leadoff track Airglow their separately played parts are hocketed to create the larger melody, with notes falling just left of where Steely Dan might drop them (which sounds awesome). Holiday Shores might be prog-rock in the way that Ariel Pink might be prog-rock. Its shape-shifting pop songcraft that will slip from your fingers like a sea cucumber the very second you think you have hold.1. Airglow

They Only Come Out At NightMastered from the Original Epic Records Tapes by Joe Reagoso and Kevin Gray
Edgar Winter, the multi-talented superstar brother of blues rock legend Johnny Winter, has been a fixture on the rock music scene now for several decades. While launching his own successful career with his solo albums and Edgar Winters White Trash, the natural progression for this man was to develop his own supergroup which would become the platinum and gold selling The Edgar Winter Group.
Releasing their first album in 1973, They Only Come Out At Night was an overnight success, thanks to the mind altering studio jam Frankenstein which has since become one of classic rocks finest moments. This instrumental smash featured the stunning keyboard of Edgar Winter, the incredible guitar of resident shredder Ronnie Montrose, the thumping bass of the late great Dan Hartman and of course the solid percussive hits of Chuck Ruff.
The album went onto receive more attention from radio programmers across the globe as even further hit songs would rapidly develop including the blues rocker Undercover Man, the country rock feel of Round & Round and of course another top charter with the summer Top 40 Rock driving sounds of Dan Hartmans Free Ride. The Rick Derringer produced album would go on to stay on the charts for a long time and receive multiple platinum status in a very short time. Truly, one of classic rocks finest albums ever recorded!
Now for the first time ever on audiophile vinyl, Friday Music announces the first installment of their Edgar Winter 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl Series with his platinum plus album They Only Come Out At Night. This first time audiophile vinyl release is mastered from the original Epic Records tapes by Joe Reagoso (Johnny Winter/Alice Cooper/Boston) at Friday Music Studios with Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI.

Live In EuropeImport
After only 2 studio albums, Rory Gallagher released Live! in Europe in 1972. Considered a landmark live album, the record - then containing 7 tracks - became Rory's 1st gold record. Heavily influenced by the likes of Woody Guthrie, Bill Broonzy and Leadbelly, Rory taught himself to play the mandolin, acoustic guitar, harmonica and also mastered the slide. After discovering the electric blues of Muddy Waters he started experimenting with different styles.
After Gallagher's band Taste broke up (he recorded 2 studio & 2 live albums with Taste) Rory toured under his own name and recorded 'Rory Gallagher' and 'Deuce' with his power trio, featuring bassist Gerry McAvoy (whom stayed in his band for 20 years) and drummer Wilgar Campbell.
Rory Gallagher won his greatest acclaim with his marathon live shows and was voted 'Melody Maker's Top Musician of the Year' in 1972, trumping Eric Clapton. It's his live shows which captured the raw energy of his songs, Rory insisted, and therefore, he released a number of live albums. Live! In Europe contain the 'definitive versions' of some of his well known songs and is an instant classic, which seamlessly blends folk, acoustic blues & blues-rock.1. Messin' With The Kid

The Seventh OneImport
Released in 1988, Toto's The Seventh One (referring to the seventh album of this immensely popular Soft Rock band) featured some very recognizable songs that have become evergreen radio classics. First of all, the album kicks off with "Pamela", a girl song that matches their previous success of IV's hit single "Rosanna". And where would the world be without the eighties anthem "Stop Loving You"? Also the other songs on this superb album are gold in their own right. Listen to a song like "Stay Away" and imagine yourself being thrown back to the late eighties, sporting a striped T-shirt, denim jacket and Air Jordans while on your way to Back To The Future part II. Toto bears an instantaneously recognizable stamp of the '80s, but because of the high quality songwriting, their music is absolutely timeless and here to stay.Side A
