Supertramp's Blockbuster Features Catchy Hooks, Rhapsodic Melodies, Symphonic Bluster, Meticulous Production: Breakfast in America Includes The Logical Song, Take the Long Way Home

Mastered from the Original Master Tapes for Supreme Sonics: Mobile Fidelity's 180g Vinyl LP Presents the Record's Famed Dynamics, Colors, Tones, and Instrumentation in Full-Range Glory

Supertramp's Breakfast in America has it all: Illustrious artwork. Sing-a-long hooks. Contagious melodies. Symphonic bluster. Rhapsodic thrust. Signature Wurlitzer electric piano sounds. Two Grammy Awards, including one for Best Engineered Album. More than 20 million copies sold. Four Billboard hit singles that continue to dominate radio airplay today. Every aspect of the chart-topping art-rock set screams blockbuster, not the least of which is the production, the result of painstaking studio setups and months of mixing. Now, you can experience the sonic brilliance in unprecedented clarity on Mobile Fidelity's definitive analog reissue.

Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed at RTI, this numbered, limited-edition 180g LP wrings out the record's dynamics, colors, and tones in all their full-range glory. Absent artificial ceilings, Breakfast in America unfolds with an expansiveness and radiance that parallels the vibrancy of its iconic New York-themed cover. Crucial traits such as imaging, separation, balance, transients, and openness achieve near-epic levels of realism and presence. Songs unfold and breathe on mammoth soundstages that put the effort's legendary production - and stellar playing - into proper perspective. The 1979 set has been reissued multiple times in the past, but it's never sounded so engaging, lifelike, or entertaining. If you think you know the record backwards and forwards, wait until you hear this version.

Indeed, aside from the undeniably catchy nature of the ten tracks, fun remains the most central element of Breakfast in America. The band even titled the record to fall in line with the overall joyful feeling of the material. About the latter: Few late 1970s rock albums feature a more cohesive, harmony-drenched parade of stunningly executed, wondrously arranged works. The collective offspring of members Rick Davies and Roger Hodgson, each tune reflects the creative pulses of each musician, with the resultant contrasts lending to their appeal. Davies' penchant for grittier, bluesy strands blends with Hodgson's witty, pop-leaning techniques. The combination proves unstoppable.

Home to a quartet of commercial staples - The Logical Song, Goodbye Stranger, Take the Long Way Home, and the title track - Breakfast in America teems with arena-sized drama, meticulous craftsmanship, and mesmerizing refrains. Shrewd lyrical turns abound, whether on the phonetic, adjective-stacked The Logical Song, life-in-America portrait Child of Vision, or move-to-L.A. saga Gone Hollywood. U.S. references also dot the smash title track, which reflects the glib humor, romantic fantasies, and pop culture permeating the record.

Breakfast in America also retains its vitality because of its expert instrumentation and placement. Deemed a a textbook-perfect album of post-Beatles, keyboard-centered English art rock that strikes the shrewdest possible balance between quasi-symphonic classicism and rock & roll by Rolling Stone shortly after its release, the record serves as a blueprint of reference-setting production and mixing. Check the scorching guitar outro on Goodbye Stranger, gospel accents on Lord Is It Mine, saxophone lines on Take the Long Way Home, or chemistry of the choruses on basically every piece here. It's enough to make one long for the 70s again.

When The Beatles were formed in 1960, Ringo Starr was a member of another Liverpool group, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. After achieving moderate success with that band, he quit and joined The Beatles in August 1962, replacing Pete Best. Starr played key roles in The Beatles' films and appeared in numerous others. After the break-up in 1970, Ringo Starr released several successful singles including the It Don't Come Easy, Photograph Back Off Boogaloo and You're Sixteen.

Ringo Starr achieved commercial and critical success with his 1973 album Ringo, which was a top ten release in several countries. He has been featured in a number of documentaries and hosted television shows. Since 1989, he has toured with twelve variations of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band.

Time Takes Time is the tenth studio album by Ringo Starr, released in 1992, his critically acclaimed comeback album. His first studio album since 1983's Old Wave, it followed a successful 1989-90 world tour with his All-Starr Band. Time Takes Time features several celebrity guests including Brian Wilson, Harry Nilsson and Electric Light Orchestra front man Jeff Lynne.

Many critics considered Time Takes Time Starr's best album since 1973's Ringo. Rolling Stone magazine wrote, The drummer's most consistent, wide-awake album since Ringo, from 1973.

Hot on the heels of the release of Ringo's latest album Give More Love, 2017 also marks the 25th anniversary of Time Takes Time. The album is now finally available again on vinyl.

    There And Back

Whenever Jeff Beck releases an album, it's always a musical event. As the third in a trilogy of multifaceted career defining albums, preceded by Blow By Blow and Wired, the iconic guitarist unleashed one of the most popular albums in his ever enduring catalog with 1980's There And Back.

This masterwork unites the guitar hero with his powerful team of world class musicians, Jan Hammer (keyboards), Simon Phillips (drums), Tony Hymas (keyboards) and Mo Foster (bass). The brilliant guitar shredder and his quartet of amazing master musicians truly throw down some of his classiest and hardest driving repertoire for this Jeff Beck and Ken Scott (David Bowie/Kansas/Supertramp) production.

The album begins with the rhythmic rocker Star Cycle. The tune finds Beck and Hammer dueling on some very solid power riffs making this a great opening track for the listener. The soulful vibe of Too Much To Lose has the tremendous voicing of Jeff's guitar with Hymas' fine keyboard elements and Phillips' wonderful drum work throughout.

Always an astute bluesman, The Pump retains a solid groove which allows Beck to power away with some very intricate fret work, making this album the classic that it is. Hard rock fusion continues with more classics like You Never Know, El Becko and Space Boogie. These and his jazz rock leaning hits like The Golden Road and The Final Peace truly reward his fans with one of the finest albums in his decorated career!

Friday Music proudly presents the limited edition 180g audiophile release of Jeff Beck's classic There And Back. As a continuation of their highly regarded Jeff Beck Friday Music 180 Gram Audiophile Series, this fine recording is mastered from the original Epic Records tapes by Joe Reagoso (Jeff Beck, Deep Purple, Yes) at Friday Music Studios with Kevin Gray.

Also for this rare anniversary edition, Friday will be presenting the original artwork now in a very limited first time gatefold cover featuring all of the art elements you remember from this incredible 1980 career album for Jeff Beck.

    Your Wilderness (Out of Stock)

Featuring Gavid Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson) On Drums, Plus Guests John Helliwell (Supertramp), Geoffrey Richardson (Caravan), & Darren Charles (Godsticks)

After the worldwide acclaim generated by the 2014 anthemic rock release Magnolia, The Pineapple Thief returns with its most ambitious studio album to date, Your Wilderness (featuring Gavin Harrison on drums throughout).

Seen as one of the most vital Rock bands the UK has produced over the last 2 decades, THE PINEAPPLE THIEF was formed in 1999 by founder and chief songwriter BRUCE SOORD and has continued to evolve and refine its sound throughout its existence.

Musically, the band's 11th studio album represents a marked change in direction and takes TPT away from Magnolia's more "pop" orientated production. On Your Wilderness, the band has allowed itself plus a dream team of contributors to perform without any inhibitions.

Bruce Soord has drawn inspiration from his Progressive roots in order to provide a springboard for the ongoing creative growth of The Pineapple Thief.
