Limited Edition Of 1,000 Copies On 180 Gram Transparent Vinyl, Black Vinyl Thereafter

Return of the Boom Bap is KRS-One's first official solo album, released in 1993. It peaked on the Billboard 200 charts at position 37 and the album has sold over 300,000 copies.

Unlike the majority of the Boogie Down Productions LP's, KRS here takes a step back from the production duties and invites rising underground stars DJ Premier, Showbiz and Kid Capri to handle the beats in addition to his four contributions. The track P Is Still Free appeared on the Menace to Society Original Soundtrack [MOVATM152] labeled as a B.D.P. track. The track Black Cop was originally released as a 12 single and a track for the CB4 movie soundtrack, thus also labeled as a B.D.P. track.

The album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums. The record was originally rated 4 mics in The Source in 1993.

    New Magic (Blue Vinyl)

    Pressed On Blue Vinyl

Son Little, the singer and songwriter born Aaron Livingston, is the easygoing musical alchemist of our time. He is a conjurer, and much like those of his heroes Stevie Wonder and Jimi Hendrix, his songs are deconstructions of the diaspora of American R&B. Deftly he weaves different eras of the sound-blues, soul, gospel, rock and roll-through his own unique vision, never forced, always smooth, each note a tributary on the flowing river of rhythm and blues. And now, with his second full-length album, New Magic, he has delivered a profound statement, a cohesive creation that captures the diverse spirit of American music in a fresh and modern way.

The song that serves as the album's true centerpiece is Blue Magic, a Philly Soul inspired number deconstructed almost like a rap song or the best of production savants like J Dilla or Madlib, complete with chiming glockenspiel bells and old school female backing vocals. The song has the appeal of an instant classic. On the heels of his 2015 self-titled debut and the 5-song EP, Songs I Forgot, that came before it, Son Little found his reach steadily growing. His song Lay Down had been streamed over seven million times, he had toured the world with artists as diverse as Leon Bridges, Kelis, Mumford & Sons, Portual. The Man and Shakey Graves in addition to his own headlining runs, and also became a Grammy Award winning producer, earning a 2016 Best Roots Performance award for his work on Mavis Staples.

    Marshall Mathers (Awaiting Repress)

Ranked 302/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Eminem's masterful second record has the chops and the credentials to go along with it. The Marshall Mathers LP won the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, The Real Slim Shady won the Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance and the record was also nominated for the Grammy for Album Of The Year. Expanding upon his debut, Eminem's follow-up is both funnier and darker than his debut and the production is nearly as evocative as the raps, with liquid basslines, stuttering rhythms, slight sound effects and spacious soundscapes. Rather You Than Me

Building on months of widespread excitement and anticipation, four-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated multiplatinum rap icon and Maybach Music Group mastermind Rick Ross unleashes his ninth full-length album and first for Epic Records, Rather You Than Me.

Rather You Than Me represents the apex of the rapper's catalog thus far. There are moments of soulful emotion on the likes of "Apple of My Eye" (feat. Raphael Saadiq) and pure rap fireworks during "Powers That Be" (feat. Nas) and "Dead Presidents" (feat. Future, Jeezy, & Yo Gotti). It holds quite a few surprises too including "Idols Become Rivals" (feat. Chris Rock) and the stunning "Maybach Music V" (feat. Dej Loaf).

Now, Rather You Than Me marks the beginning of a new era for Rick Ross and rap music.

"Untouchable" is the best way to describe Rick Ross's decade-plus run at the top of rap. Along the way, he achieved five Billboard Top 200 #1 debuts and three #2 debuts, received four Grammy Award® nominations, graced the cover of Rolling Stone twice, and made history more than once. His debut single "Hustlin'" became the "first mastertone ever certified RIAA platinum before the associated album had been released." He sold millions of singles and albums and cemented his status as one of rap's biggest and brashest voices. Moreover, he founded Maybach Music Group home to Meek Mill, Wale, and more. Signing to Epic Records in 2016, his "untouchable" streak continues with Rather You Than Me.

He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper

Long before Will Smith became a box office star, he played the MC to Jazzy Jeff's DJ, and became a dominant presence on the charts. Their sophomore album, He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper, released in 1988, was by far their most successful venture, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and earning a triple platinum certification. It let two singles loose on the top 20: A Nightmare on My Street and Parents Just Don't Understand, the latter of which won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance the following year.

Return To The 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version

It's safe to say that hip-hop has never seen an album like Ol' Dirty Bastard's 1995 solo debut Return to the 36 Chambers. The brief glimpses of ODB's unhinged genius provided by Wu-Tang Clan's landmark Enter the Wu-Tang album two years earlier were begging to be expanded on to a larger canvas, and, with RZA guiding production, the album promised to give Dirty the creative license to make one of the most bizarre, entertaining and original LPs in hip-hop history. With his raspy, drunken flow and dark sense of humor, Dirty fearlessly attacks from all angles, throwing himself fearlessly into punchy rhyme attacks (Damage, with GZA), drugged-out party jams (the monster singles Brooklyn Zoo and Shimmy Shimmy Ya) and bizarre, grimly hilarious fantasies of sex and violence (Don't U Know and the R&B-tinged Sweet Sugar Pie). Backed by RZA's appropriately gritty, dissonant beats and appearances from the Clan, Return became an instant hit, selling over 1 million copies and earning a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album in 1996. The album stands as a high water mark in the Wu-Tang Clan's collective creative output and was selected as one of the Best 100 Rap Albums by The Source magazine in 1998. In honoring the legacy of one of hip-hop's most innovative releases, Get On Down is proud to present this incredible and unique special edition of Ol' Dirty Bastard's Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version on double LP.

    Cypress Hill (Awaiting Repress)

    Limited Edition Clear Vinyl

Somewhere in between the rock-star mischief of the Beastie Boys and the slow-creeping funk of Dr. Dre, Cypress Hill introduced their hazy-eyed sound to the world on their self-titled 1991 debut and things have never quite been the same since. The original Cypress Hill album captures the group at their risk-taking best, mixing gangster posturing, LA street politics, Latin flavor and warped humor together under a thick cloud of weed smoke and innovative beats. Nasal-voiced rapper B-Real and his partner Sen Dog, backed by the adventurous production styles of DJ Muggs, produce classics records like How I Could Just Kill a Man, Pigs, Stoned is the Way of the Walk and Hand on the Pump. Since its release, the album has won acclaim as one of Rolling Stone's Essential Recordings of the 90s and Top 100 Best Rap Albums by The Source magazine. Get On Down is proud to present one of the most influential and important hip-hop albums ever, Cypress Hill, in this special red vinyl release, featuring audio remastered from the original source tapes.

    Like Water For Chocolate

Common spent the '90s carrying the Native Tongues torch through an era dominated by gangsta rap, earning a sizable underground following. Positive-minded alternative rap came back into vogue by the new millennium, and Common managed to land with major label MCA for 2000's Like Water for Chocolate. The album established him as a leading figure of alternative rap's second generation, not just because of the best promotion he'd ever had, but also because it was his great musical leap forward, building on the strides of One Day It'll All Make Sense. There's production work by the Roots' ?uestlove, neo-soul auteur D'Angelo, the Soulquarians, and DJ Premier. But the vast majority of the album was handled by Slum Village's Jay Dee, and his thick, mellow, soul- and jazz-inflected sonics make Like Water for Chocolate one of the richest-sounding albums of the new underground movement. Common isn't always a master technician on the mic, but it hardly matters when the music serves his deeply spiritual vision and smooth-flowing raps so effectively. The singles The Light and The 6th Sense are quintessential Common, uplifting and thoughtful, and helped bring him a whole new audience. They're well complemented by the slinky, jazzy funk and lush neo-soul ballads that make up the record. Not everything is sweetness and utopia, either; Common sends up his own progressive image on A Film Called (Pimp), which features a hilarious guest appearance by MC Lyte, and spins a gripping first-person tale of revenge on the streets on Payback Is a Grandmother (though the tougher Dooinit feels a bit forced). The album could have been trimmed a bit to keep its momentum going, but on the whole, Like Water for Chocolate is a major statement from an artist whose true importance was just coming into focus.

    New Magic
