The Final Tour: Copenhagen, March 24, 1960 (Awaiting Stock)

Showcasing the musical chemistry shared by Miles and Trane and lets fans experience the magic of both artists at the peak of their collective powers. Miles and Trane each implemented their own jazz revolutions at the time of this concert and the electrifying sonic frisson produced by the sometimes competing/sometimes intertwining music visions of these artists perplexed contemporary jazz fans

As quoted by music historian Ashley Kahn, "it's not that the band members were so much apart, but rather that each were more themselves within the same unit - that divergence could co-exist and make music together."

Focuses on the final chapter in the landmark collaboration between Davis and Coltrane.

    The Final Countdown

The Final Countdown is the third studio album by the Swedish hard rock band Europe, and one of the most glorious launches in history. Released in 1986, the album was a huge commercial success selling over 3 million units in the United States alone, peaking at number 8 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and reaching high positions in charts worldwide.

Recorded at Powerplay Studios in ZÜrich, Switzerland, the band worked with American producer Kevin Elson, who had worked with bands like Journey and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Rock The Night and Ninja premiered on the band's Wings of Tomorrow tour in 1984. Five singles were released from the album: The Final Countdown, Love Chaser, Rock the Night, Carrie, and Cherokee.

The song The Final Countdown was based on an old keyboard riff that Tempest had composed as early as 1981-82, on a Korg Polysix keyboard he had borrowed from Michaeli. In 1985 bassist John LevÉn suggested that Tempest should write a song based on that riff. The rest is Pop history.

    Tour De Force - Borderline

    Import

Tour De Force chronicles Bonamassa's atmospheric rise from the intimate club environment of The Borderline, to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Each individual evening was marked by a unique theme with different setlists, arrangements and ensembles providing the viewer with four unique performances. His journey begins in the intimate setting of the 200-capacity London Borderline with a three-piece band. The result is a jammy tribute to Bonamassa's earlier career, with songs he hasn't played live in years. Next is a blues-themed night at Shepherd's Bush Empire, featuring a horns section to create a soulful, big-blues-band feel. He then moves to the Hammersmith Apollo which opens with a short acoustic set before moving into a rock-inspired evening. Finally, at the Royal Albert Hall, Bonamassa treats the crowd to a half acoustic/half electric show of his most popular and well-known songs, featuring the acoustic band from his most recent release, An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House. Each night's performance features a different selection of songs - over 60 in total and some having never been performed live before - from his extensive career beginning with 2000's A New Day Yesterday.

The end result more than lived up to its billing as "The Guitar Event of The Year" and saw Bonamassa reliving, revisiting and redefining the many phases and pivotal moments throughout his career over the course of four evenings. It goes without saying that the challenge was daunting, but Bonamassa more than picked up the gauntlet after it was thrown down and delivered a once-in-a-lifetime performance that more than serves as an appropriate career-retrospective for an artist who has already achieved so much.

"London is like my second home," says Bonamassa. "With these shows, I wanted to give the fans attending the London 2013 shows a real treat - something special to thank them for their unwavering support. Over the years I've received audience requests for tracks that we've never performed live; it felt right that we delve into the back catalogue and honor London with special and unique versions of these tracks. And now...we can share it with my fans around the world."

This concert, performed almost exactly one year before Lowell George's untimely passing, is a fine tribute to a master musician and exceptional songwriter, as well as to a legendary band who - despite some unfortunate opinions which may well have been retracted had the opportunity arisen - remained, until the true ending of the classic-line-up, an exceptional and legendary group who continue, almost 40 years later, to delight and fascinate fans old and new.

Anberlin will be releasing a live version of their sophomore record Never Take Friendship Personal - Live In New York City on May 5th, 2015. Recorded live at The Gramercy Theatre, the album helps celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the original release of Never Take Friendship Personal. Produced by original producer Aaron Sprinkle, the live album brings Anberlin's vibrant live show to the fans who weren't able to attend a date of the final tour in 2014, solidifying the band's legacy in the hearts of fans all over the world. Never Take Friendship Personal included Anberlin's most successful single "The Feel Good Drag," which spent 29 weeks climbing the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart before reaching #1. The song set the record for the longest rise to the top since the chart's inception in 1988 and was certified gold in 2014.

Anberlin has been a staple in the Tooth & Nail catalog for over a decade with their release of Blueprints for the Black Market in 2003. Seven albums and 12 years later, they have toured the world many times over and released what many Tooth & Nail fans would call essential albums in the label catalog. Anberlin has shared the stage with countless artists over the years (including Smashing Pumpkins, Paramore, and Underoath) and scanned over 900,000 copies in the U.S. to date. Fans of Never Take Friendship Personal will enjoy the live version to remember Anberlin by.

    Thunder And Lightning

Thunder and Lightning is the twelfth and final studio album by Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy, originally released in 1983. Snowy White was replaced after 1981's Renegade by guitarist John Sykes, who helped to provide a heavier sound and guitar tone than Thin Lizzy had used on previous albums. However, the bulk of the songwriting (except for Cold Sweat) was completed before he joined the band. Keyboard player Darren Wharton also offered a stronger musical influence to Thin Lizzy's final studio album, co-writing many of the tracks including Some Day She Is Going to Hit Back, and the final single The Sun Goes Down. A farewell tour followed the album's release, followed by the live album Life. The group's co-founder, frontman and bass player Phil Lynott died in 1986 from drug-related causes.

    Europe '72 (Awaiting Repress)

Nearly 40 years ago, the Grateful Dead released Europe '72, a triple live album documenting its historic trek across Europe that became not only one of the band's best-selling releases, but also set the gold standard for live Dead.

The Grateful Deads first tour outside of North America took them to all sorts of historic and unusual venues in England, Denmark, West Germany, France, Holland and even Luxembourg. Many members of the Dead family came along on what was really an extended working vacation that was designed to both expose the Dead to new audiences and also reward the band for their unlikely conquest of America during the preceding two years. As a hedge against the costs of the nearly two-month trip, the Deads label, Warner Bros., paid for the band to lug around a 16-track recorder to capture the entire tour.

This was a band at the top of its game, still ascending in the wake of three straight hit albums: Workingmans Dead, American Beauty and the live Grateful Dead (Skull & Roses). It had been a year since the lineup had gone to its single-drummer configuration, six months since Keith Godchaux had been broken in as the groups exceptional pianist, and this marked the first tour to feature Donna Godchaux as a member of the touring band. This would also be Pigpen's final tour with the band.

There was a ton of new, unreleased material that came into the repertoire in the fall of 71 (after Skull & Roses was out) and during the spring of 72, including Tennessee Jed, Jack Straw, Hes Gone, Ramble on Rose, One More Saturday Night and Mr. Charlie. All those future classics were interspersed with songs from the aforementioned hit albums such as Cumberland Blues and Sugar Magnolia, as well as spectacular versions of Truckin and I Know You Rider.

    From Fear To Eternity

From Fear To Eternity: The Best of 1990-2010 is a 3LP set spanning 20 years of music following the huge 2010 studio album The Final Frontier, which hit #1 in 28 countries around the world. It also became the band's highest-charting album in the U.S., where Iron Maiden was also awarded their first Grammy for Best Metal Performance for El Dorado, which is also included on this collection.

Iron Maiden's current phenomenal global success has seen the band not only scale new-found heights aided by their unique method of touring, but has meant their ever-expanding fan base now encompasses a brand new generation of metal lovers. From Fear To Eternity is a chance for these fans to explore the group's rich history, with the highlights of their last eight studio albums distilled into this handy collection, which follows 2009's Somewhere Back In Time, a compilation of their earlier work from 1980-1990.

Perennial favorites found on this album include songs also featured on Maiden's The Final Frontier World Tour set list, such as Fear of the Dark, The Wicker Man, Blood Brothers, and Dance Of Death alongside recent classics El Dorado and the hauntingly evocative When The Wild Wind Blows. It also includes singles like Holy Smoke and Be Quick or Be Dead together with more progressive thought-provoking album tracks like Afraid To Shoot Strangers and For the Greater Good of God. This 'Best-of' collection charts the musical development of Britain's most successful metal band as they have evolved their sound, producing longer, more complex songs, while gaining huge critical acclaim in the process.

    White Trash Heroe

    Colored Vinyl

Merge is proud to reissue All the Nations Airports and White Trash Heroes, the final two albums from Archers of Loaf. Both albums have been remastered by Bob Weston and feature re-imagined cover art, new liner notes and copious bonus material. Each album is presented on colored vinyl!

Archers of Loaf almost called it quits after All the Nations Airports due to the strain of touring and the rut of the album cycle (i.e., make record, make video, do interviews, tour, tour, tour; repeat) but decided they would make one more album and see how they felt after that process. They again enlisted the help of Brian Paulson to record the album that became White Trash Heroes.

On this album the band added keyboards to several songs as well as vocoder, and debuted the lead vocals of Matt Gentling on the track I.N.S. Banging on a Dead Drum found all the members swapping instruments and some of the worst cowbell ever attempted. The band pulled out all the stops to keep its members engaged, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough and the band decided to make the fall tour of 1998 its final outing.

In the liner notes for Merge's reissue of the Archers' final album, Josh Modell says, "In hindsight, it's easy to read White Trash Heroes as both the stormy end to a legendary band and as the beginning of something else: Bachmann's next project, Crooked Fingers. Hints of what came two years later abound here, particularly on the keyboard undercarriage and restrained energy of 'Dead Red Eyes' and the epic, sequencer-assisted title track. That eight-minute song feels like a transitional sigh, and an acknowledgement that a certain period, let's call it "indie-rock's golden age," because that might drive the Archers nuts, had passed. To paraphrase: They were out of luck, because nobody gave a fuck."

LPs are limited edition and pressed on colored vinyl housed in gatefold jacket with printed Euro sleeve.

Live At The Burton Cummings Theatre

The Weakerthans come from Winnipeg, Manitoba, the geographic center of North America. Their deeply lyrical music speaks of the vast open spaces and broken industrial dreams in which it was created. Founded in 1997 by former Propagandhi bassist turned guitarist/frontman John K. Samson, The Weakerthans hold deep roots in the indie scene, with drummer Jason Tait also recording and touring as part of Toronto indie collective Broken Social Scene. Having built a fanatical fanbase touring through the US and Canada, the Weakerthans finally offer a permanent record of one of their fantastic live shows, recorded on the tour for their triumphant 2007 release Reunion Tour. With an expanded lineâ€up that includes trumpet, violin and female vocals, The Weakerthans run through songs from all 4 of their albums, in front of an adoring hometown audience, singing along with every lingering word.

    Stage Four

TOUCHÉ AMORÉ, is a Los Angeles based punk band whose earnest and artful approach to song writing, along with relentless touring, fueled their rise to prominence in the hardcore community.

In 2013 TOUCHÉ AMORÉ crossed into new territory with their beloved release, Is Survived By. The band had reached a high point in notoriety when frontman Jeremy Bolm received news that his mother had been diagnosed with Stage Four cancer. With the band's support, Bolm wanted to go on hiatus to care for his ailing mother. However, as his biggest supporter, she encouraged him to continue on living his dream. So he returned to the road with bandmates- guitarists Nick Steinhardt and Clayton Stevens, bassist Tyler Kirby, and drummer Elliot Babin. In October of 2014 while TOUCHÉ AMORÉ was headlining Fest in Gainesville, FL, the final stop on their tour, Bolm received a call that his mother passed. He went home the next day.

Now from a band both living its dream and marred by loss comes their new album Stage Four. Triumphant in sound and cathartic in delivery, Stage Four is a powerfully creative leap for TOUCHÉ AMORÉ. The first single is the catchy "Palm Dreams," and it's instantly clear from Bolm's vocals that TOUCHÉ AMORÉ is breaking new ground: the career screamer is actually singing, in a quite capable sing-speak harmony. The final track, the lush, jangly "Skyscraper," featuring haunting guest vocals from Julien Baker, ends the album with an atmospheric departure, both sonically and in spirit.

Suuns and Jerusalem In My Heart

Beginning in November 2012, Suuns (Ben Shemie, Liam O'Neil, Max Henry and Joseph Yarmush) and long
time friend, Radwan Ghazi Moumneh, rented a studio in Montreal for seven days. The idea was to collaborate on rough sketches of song ideas and to complete as much recording as possible without discrimination. The session was successful, yielding many vibe-laden songs featuring heavy analog synths, Arabic influences and electronic sensibilities.

After the session, the recordings layed dormant. Both bands were releasing individual albums; touring was to ensue shortly. Some editing time was squeezed in between tour dates but a full year passed before the songs were heard by an audience. The collaborative band did a live show at Pop Montreal 2013 and then another the following March. At that point, the project was kickstarted into gear. The band over dubbed and
re-worked the songs in the summer of 2014 and finally, whilst on tour in October, finished the vocal overdubs and mixing. Radwan Ghazi Moumneh of Jerusalem In My Heart did the tracking and most of the mixing while Max Henry of Suuns handled some mixing as well.

The live show is very much a performance with less emphasis on replaying the recordings note for note, but more about recreating the excitement of the initial recording sessions.

    Live!

    Original Artwork & Poster

As the title implies, this is indeed Bob Marley & the Wailers captured in performance at the Lyceum Ballroom in London during the final U.K. leg of the Natty Dread tour. Passionate and symbiotic energies constantly cycle between the band and audience, the net result of which is one of the most memorable concert recordings of the pop music era.

With the addition of lead guitarist Al Anderson during the recording sessions for their previous long-player, Natty Dread, the Wailers took increasing strides toward a seamless transition into the consciousness of the rock music audience. Anderson's bluesy guitar runs liberate Burnin' and Lootin' as well as Trench Town Rock, the only new composition on Live! Anderson bobs and weaves his supple-toned fretwork among the somewhat staid rhythms common to reggae.

The mutual affinity that binds Marley with his audience is evident in the roars of approval that greet the opening notes of Them Belly Full (But We Hungry), I Shot the Sheriff, and Kinky Reggae. Likewise, No Woman, No Cry elicits a group singalong as the sheer volume of the audience challenges that of the amplified musicians. With this evidence, there is no denying that Bob Marley & the Wailers were becoming the unlikeliest of pop music icons.

The Last Night Of The Electrics

With more than 118 million records sold all over the world, Status Quo is one of the most important UK rock bands of all time. They have become one of the top names of British rock history year after year, album after album. Looking at the list of their achievements, with the most impressive series of gold records, top 10 singles, sold out shows and TV performances, one would say that they have conquered this status long ago. With the release if their phenomenally successful acoustic albums during the last three years, Status Quo made clear that they are still force to be reckoned with. Status Quo are the only band able to stick to their rock and roll roots, but adding a new twist, while remaining loyal to the sound their fans love. In concert they have the energy of a young band in their early twenties, even if the band has celebrated almost 50 years of glorious success.

On December 11, 2016 Francis Rossi, Andrew Bown, John 'Rhino' Edwards and Leon Cave plugged their instruments in and brought their thunderous electric live show back to the world's venues for what they considered to be the last time. Packed with hits, both new and old, taken from that unbelievable back catalogue, Status Quo sounded as young and fresh as ever. When they climbed the stage of The O2 in London, the band was thinking that this was meant to be Status Quo's last of their last full-on electric shows. The brand new live release "The Last Night Of The Electric" captures the magic moment on both audio and video.

But you never know where life will take you following the incredible reaction and success of their recent European Tour and as a result of requests from fans and promoters alike, Status Quo decided to extend the Last Night of the Electrics tour into 2017, initially visiting territories not included on the current tour. After this tour the telecasters shall finally be unplugged and amps turned off, seriously.
