    Mirror Might Steal Your Charm

THE GARDEN is an ever-evolving duo from Orange County,
California. Established in 2011 by twin brothers Fletcher and
Wyatt Shears, they also created the term, "Vada Vada" to represent
their music and other endeavors. Touring globally since
2012, they have become known for their energetic, aggressive
    and off the wall performances.

Typically seen live playing drums and electronics, Fletcher
can also be seen front and center on vocals, belligerently performing
alongside his brother, Wyatt. Wyatt consistently takes
position of lead vocals and bass in the duo whilst performing
and can be seen simultaneously moving in un-choreographed
    bizarre patterns.

    Out Of The Garden

    180-Gram Clear Teal Vinyl

Out of the Garden is a mission statement that underscores the
"power" in power-pop and is punctuated by lyrics as razor-sharp as
    the hooks.

Written over a two-year period during a break from touring,
the album's emphasis on re-defining feminine expectations was
shaped by primary songwriter Jess Abbott's experiences living in
Minneapolis and working at a liquor store in a rough part of town.

"I learned how to speak up when I needed to and how to truly be
myself without reservation," Abbott recalls. "I felt afraid walking
home at night, and after a couple of months I just got sick of it and
started getting into self-defense and self-empowerment as a means
of coping. Finding my own strength changed everything."

After writing and tracking every song in her apartment, Abbott (also
of beloved Minneapolis trio Now, Now) enlisted Kevin Medina and
Terrence Vitali to add drums and bass to her demos. The band then
traveled to LA to record with OFF! bassist Steven McDonald and
    That Dog vocalist/guitarist Anna Waronker.

Abbott's fearlessness to discuss personal topics is referenced in
the album's title, an allusion to exiting Eden and leaving behind all
the restrictive cultural norms engrained in the Biblical "paradise":
tradition, purity, holiness, binary gender, heterosexuality, and the idea
that anything is forbidden (especially for women).

Says Abbott, "Out of the Garden represents doing what you want,
what you need, without letting anything or anyone stop you - and
    smiling while you do it."

    The Garden Spot Program, 1950

Set the time machine for early morning on KSIB, Creston, Iowa. February, 1950.

Omnivore Recordings is proud to present The Garden Spot Programs, 1950, featuring
24 performances, unheard for 64 years, from the one and only Hank Williams!

Rescued from obscurity, these shows originally aired over 6 decades ago, and The Garden Spot Programs, 1950 collects material from the four of them
    now known to exist.

From hits to standards to songs rarely (if ever) performed, this is pure Hank Williams, including playful, between song banter. Fully restored to incredible
quality, The Garden Spot Programs, 1950 is more like being in the studio when they were recorded than actually listening to them on the radio!

Any music from Hank Williams is worth celebrating. Discovering material that has been unheard for generations is monumental.

"It's incredible to me that we're still finding new recordings by my dad. Great ones, at that! No one even suspected that these recordings existed. We
partnered with Omnivore Recordings for this release, and I especially love it that they're taking my dad back to vinyl."

    The Garden Of Unearthly Delights

Mighty Doom icons CATHEDRAL from Coventry, England for sure are one of the most unique and unpredictable acts around. These legendary merchants of slow-motion sound could care less about redundant genre restrictions and have so far incorporated everything from Doom, Psych, Folk up to Funk in their works. With their eighth album The Garden Of Unearthly Delights CATHEDRAL have achieved much more than simply living up to that reputation - the guys created timeless songs that couldn`t be farther away from standardisation, stagnation and convention.

Produced by Warren Ryker (DOWN, CROWBAR), The Garden Of Unearthly Delights is probably the most varied effort of the band so far. While a song like 'North Berwick Witch Trials' will bring back memories of such immortal riffs`n`groove as in 'Hopkins' or 'Ride', 'Tree Of Life And Death' simply tears everything to pieces with its ultra-heavy guitar sound and fierce vocals courtesy of Lee Dorrian.

The centerpiece of it all certainly is the 27-minute-long mammoth epos 'The Garden' that almost bursts with such a wealth of ideas and changes in atmosphere that other bands probably couldn`t come up with on a whole album. Using every stylistic device from female vocals up to violins and embedding it all in that typical CATHEDRAL brand of Doom, The Garden Of Unearthly Delights is a treat for every fan of the band, old and new alike.

Starting with quite sinister and ultra-slow songs on the 1990 EP In Memorium and the full-length album Forest Of Equilibrium, CATHEDRAL quickly gained cult status. The 1992 follow-up EP Soul Sacrifice brought changes soundwise and saw the band mixing traditional Doom with 70s - Hardrock and showed a first glimpse of the trademarks CATHEDRAL still represent nowadays.

After having previously toured with MORBID ANGEL and SAINT VITUS, the band embarked on the legendary Gods Of Grind - Tour with ENTOMBED, CARCASS and CONFESSOR. „The Ethereal Mirror" featured alltime faves like 'Ride' and 'Midnight Mountain' and suddenly gave CATHEDRAL the reputation as „the next big thing in Metal".

Struggling with this label, the band started to experiment on the EP Statik Majik and probably tried out every single instrument they could lay their hands on to churn out a 20-minute-track like 'Voyage Of The Homeless Sapien'. After touring with BLACK SABBATH, the guys went on to record the landmark „The Carnival Bizarre" in 1996 that brought us immortal tunes such as 'Hopkins (The Witchfinder General)' and 'Utopian Blaster' - the latter featuring Tony Iommi on guitar. Supernatural Birth Machine was released in 1996 after touring in South America, Europe and Japan amongst others. The catchy songwriting on that album echoed on Caravan Beyond Redemption in 1998, but with a heavier twist to it. The next serious change in style occurred on the gloomy and sludgy Endtyme that went almost completely without sound experiments and concentrated on ultra-grim riffing. 2002`s The VIIth Coming combined catchiness with heaviness to form a well-balanced mixture between old and new CATHEDRAL.

Now that the English fourpiece has returned with The Garden Of Unearthly Delights it`s time to follow them for new adventures in sound

Carrying the weight of the luminance and spacy textures from their 2009 EP, The Death of Day, Atlanta, Ga foursome O'Brother have grown into sounds of scorching heaviness and punctuated melodic interruptions that act as puzzles in-between the groaning feedback of Garden Window, the band's debut full length. With Garden Window displaying more density, the songs themselves bask in longer time frames and dynamic intensity the whole way out. Close friends Andy Hull and Robert McDowell of Manchester Orchestra stepped in as producers for Garden Window.

Sgt. Pepper taught a lot of bands to play in 1967, including New York's Paper Garden, whose absorption of the Fab Four's Summer of Love statement came out on Musicor Records the following year. What Paper Garden can't match in terms of the Beatles' sophistication they make up for in ambition, as exhibited on the harpsichord-enhanced pop genius of "Lady's Man," orchestrated gems like "Way Up High," the fuzz-pop-psych of "I Hide," and Eastern grooves on "Man Do You" and "Raining." With influences of the early Bee Gees and Brill Building pop also shading the proceedings, the album's kaleidoscopic essence permeates every note - right down to the ultra-cool color-burst cover likely drawn under a pseudonym by Australian artist Martin Sharp of Disraeli Gears fame. That brilliant art can be viewed again in its full-size glory on this beautiful RTI 180 gram vinyl edition, mastered from the original Musicor reels by Bob Irwin.

Calexico is a band from Tucson, Arizona that shares a sun-bleached border with many performers and musical styles. Comprised of two core members, Joey Burns and John Convertino, Calexico became its own entity in 1996 with the release of the Spoke LP. Although that record marked the band's first official output, Joey and John had already been playing together as collaborating members of Arizona mainstays Giant Sand. A wide variety of tours, performances (including the Montreux and North Sea Jazz Festivals) and recording sessions as Calexico and with other artists (Neko Case, Victoria Williams, Richard Buckner), as well as their continuing relationship with Giant Sand, allowed the band the opportunity to develop as artists. Over time, Calexico has featured a revolving cast of musicians and instruments, and the band's sonic growth can be traced through its varied releases.

    Painted Garden (Discontinued)

Greg Ashley, mastermind behind The Gris Gris and The Mirrors, is going solo for the first time since his 1993 masterpiece Medicine Fuck Dream. The result, Painted Garden, is Ashley's most ambitious, textured, beautiful and dark record to date. Warmer and more intimate than Gris Gris' 2005 garage-psych stunner For The Season, Painted Garden still reflects the same vision behind that band's greatness.

Written in the burnt-out ghettos of Oakland and in Ashley's remote East Texas cabin, the album's ten songs drip with the psychedelic flair that turned on cats such as Roky Erikson, Mayo Thompson and Skip Spence (and more recently Vetiver, Six Organs of Admittance, and Devendra Banhart).

Beautifully orchestrated, sometimes fragile and always fuzzy, the album features great tunes, proof that the young songwriter's star is still on the rise. Written, produced and performed almost entirely by the artist, Painted Garden is a true vision realized, and puts Ashley right up there with the great musical minds of the day.

    Garden State Soundtrack

The soundtrack to Zach Braff's Garden State is nearly as much of a piece with the film as the similarly sweet, quirky combinations of sound and vision in Wes Anderson's films and soundtracks. Garden State, however, is more modern in its outlook and more emotionally direct, with a mixtape earnestness belied by using not one but two songs from the Shins' Oh, Inverted World. New Slang is an obvious choice, as the song just seems to grow in stature as time passes, but Caring Is Creepy, Oh, Inverted World's vulnerable, ever-so-slightly unhinged opening track, is not, and adds to the personal, diary-like feel of the album. The bright poignancy of the Shins' tracks stands out even more among the low-key melancholy of songs like Coldplay's Don't Panic, Remy Zero's Fair, and Colin Hay's I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You. The inclusion of Hay's track, Bonnie Somerville's Winding Road, and the Cary Brothers' Blue Eyes shows that Garden State doesn't go for the hipster, too-cool-for-school poses that one might expect from the soundtrack of a hot indie movie, even with the inclusion of Iron & Wine's cover of the Postal Service's Such Great Heights. Still, there's something of a collegiate feel to the soundtrack, especially with the re-rediscovery of Nick Drake (One of These Things First) and Simon & Garfunkel (The Only Living Boy in New York) as well as the tentative forays into electronica and trip-hop like Zero 7's In the Waiting Line, Frou Frou's Let Go, and Thievery Corporation's Lebanese Blonde. Perhaps this collegiate feel comes from the fact that those years are often the time when many people are the most ready and willing to explore music that is new to them (but not necessarily new), but, as the success of Garden State's soundtrack shows, any time can be the right time.

Iron & Wine follow up their 2018 Grammy-nominated
full-length Beast Epic with Weed Garden, a collection of
material that began about three years ago. The six-song
EP features songs that were part of the writing phase for
Beast Epic, but went unfinished. They were part of a
larger narrative for principal songwriter Sam Beam, who
ran out of time to get them where they needed to be for
inclusion on Beast Epic. Weed Garden also includes the
    fan favorite "Waves of Galveston."

While on tour last fall, the final pieces of material took
shape and a sense of urgency prevailed in bringing these
characters full circle. To resolution. To completion. In
January, Beam and company hunkered down in Chicago
at The Loft recording studio to capture these six songs.

My Garden State was written in the New Jersey home where Glenn's family moved in 1966, while he was caring for his mother who suffers from Alzheimer's. The songs and sounds on the album are reflective, but never dour or sad. Garden Of Arms

Peter Wolf Criers second album Garden of Arms is a document that paints a vivid portrait of all the pain and beauty of growth. Written with the at-home repose demanded by performing a hundred shows in six months, these eleven tracks were nurtured from their hushed origins with a new-found footing of confidence and experimentation. Adapting the tenets of the grinding live show, the duo of Peter Pisano and Brian Moen transformed the fuzzy distortion, rolling and crashing drums, and laser-focused purposefulness into an intensely dynamic yet supremely polished album.

The lead off track, Right Away, best exemplifies the bands new direction, a dense and jarring embrace of the immediacy of real personal connection. Later on in the album, restraint is more readily apparent, in tracks like Settling it Off, where the sonics do not threaten to overwhelm but are instead peeled back to reveal a more subdued, secure sense of direction.

The notion that any one of these songs could be your favorite depending on where your head and heart reside, moment to moment, is the most appealing aspect of this album. Throughout Garden of Arms, swagger is juxtaposed against an icy delicacy, making the scope of the record complex but somehow an easily digestible statement of how Peter Wolf Crier are rolling: a wheel, rusted with unrestrained hope.

Elvis As Recorded At Madison Square Garden

Of all the live concert recordings released during Elvis Presley's lifetime, none carried the historical significance of his long-awaited New York City shows at Madison Square Garden in June of 1972. His first performances in the Big Apple since the '50s, the 'King of Rock 'n' Roll' performed four sold-out shows at the famed venue, the weekend of Friday through Sunday, June 9-11, 1972 and sold in excess of 80,000 tickets in the process.

Featuring defintive live takes of such all-time classics as: Proud Mary, You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin, Polk Salad Annie, All Shook Up, Heartbreak Hotel, medley of (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel, Love Me Tender, Hound Dog, Suspicious Minds and many more!

The live album 'As Recorded at Madison Square Garden' was originally released in June 1972, just one week after the concert took place at the Madison Square Garden arena in New York City. This show was Presley's first live concert in the Big Apple since the 1950s. Many musicians attended one of his shows most notably amongst them George Harrison, Art Garfunkel, David Bowie, all the members of both Ten Years After and Led Zeppelin, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan. Being backed by an eight-piece band, an orchestra and eight backup singers the show itself is the more elaborately produced follow-up to his Las Vegas performances of 1969-1970.

    Hanging Gardens

Classixx have been intent on their debut Hanging Gardens, whittling the LP down from hundreds of sessions to a svelte 12 songs. At once beaming, breezy and wistful, Hanging Gardens features a variety of coastal summer anthems, from haunting collaborations with Active Child and Super humanoids singer Sarah Chernoff, to the gleefully catchy Nancy Whang-featuring All You're Waiting For, French Touch inspired gem Holding On and sublime chords of Dominoes. Playing a wide array of instruments on Hanging Gardens, Classixx' full-length debut features impossibly sunny grooves, blithe melodies bred by the coast, coaxed out by the surf, expertly crafted for road trips, pool parties and dance clubs.

    Vanished Gardens

At 80 years old, NEA Jazz Master Charles Lloyd remains an intrepid musical pioneer, entering his ninth decade at a creative peak in what now stands as a mountainous and formidable career. With his newest band The Marvels-a guitar-driven group featuring Bill Frisell, Greg Leisz, Reuben Rogers, and Eric Harland-Lloyd released the 2016 album I Long To See You which NPR called "music that evokes an uncommon state of grace." Now on Vanished Gardens, The Marvels add a new dimension by collaborating with revered singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams to pioneer a new genre of Americana Jazz that draws on the musicians many influences and experiences with reimagined versions of Williams favorites, new Lloyd originals, and covers of Jimi Hendrix, Thelonious Monk, and more.

    Gardens & Villa

In the year of the saxophone, Santa Barbaras Gardens & Villa give us the flute. And along the way, G&V effectively wipe clear the vaseline from the murky bedroom funk of recent days. G&V bang out instant classics, each crystal clear and immaculate, but no less sweeping or languid. Their debut is a youthful exploration of just how opulent and pop starkness can go. It also leaves an impression of California in the way that Richard Diebekorns Ocean Park series or the pool party scene from The Graduate both do, always sensed more than stated outright.

Gardens & Villa channel all the taut pop precisions of '90s Britpop of bands like Blur, and send it through an '80s synth filter both undeniably coastal and modern. Its Spoons Kill The Moonlight lost in a daydream, but with that same hungry energy. Gardens & Villa may simultaneously pull from Gary Numan, The Kinks and odder prog within one composition. And like a fine sweet tea, its made just that right kind of sugary, though even the most upbeat tunes have an undercurrent of the bittersweet and the lost at heart.

In 2010, Gardens & Villa traveled to Oregon to record their debut with visionary, vibemaster and labelmate Richard Swift. Together, they put some sand in the sheets of new wave (Black Hills) and pop some translucent funk (Orange Blossom). Theres also a level of effortless class maintained across the whole set. Each and every lush little gem explores the wonderful mystery between intuition and proficiency, between tension and repose. Gardens & Villa are Chris Lynch, Adam Rasmussen, Levi Hayden, Shane McKillop and Dusty Ineman.
