Ego DeathEgo Death is the third studio album by American hip hop soul band, The Internet. The album was recorded primarily in Syd tha Kyd's basement in a three week period.
The band says Ego Death is about being vulnerable and honest. It's about us growing up as a band and as individuals, and the challenges we're facing and learning from. It's about us acknowledging our egos and the egos around us, and using them the best way we know how. Ego Death features guest appearances from the likes of Janelle Monae, Tyler, the Creator, and Vic Mensa.LP1

FinFin is the first solo album from THE INTERNET's frontwoman and producer Syd. Fin was written and produced by Syd, and also features production from Melo X (Lemonade), Hit Boy, Haze, and Rahki. Fin is the bold next step in Syd's musical evolution, a brilliant album packed full of dark R&B bravado, and anchored by Syd's smooth-as-silk voice. The album and its songs are already receiving love from Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, The Fader, the Los Angeles Times, Stereogum, The Ringer, Pigeons and Planes, Okayplayer, and many more.
Fin is the first new music written and produced by Syd since the release of her band THE INTERNET's Grammy-nominated album, Ego Death, in 2015. The record was hailed as one of the year's favorites by the likes of Rolling Stone, The Fader, Complex, NPR, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Pigeons & Planes, Nerdist, Noisey, and many more, with the New York Times Magazine saying, THE INTERNET has carved out an entirely new corner of R&B, thanks to [Syd]: an androgyne who sings seductive incantations about falling in and out of love...1. Complete Discography (Awaiting Repress)In the mid-to-late 1980s, Moss Icon pioneered a progressive, highly emotive sound that stood in stark contrast to just about everything even remotely considered punk-rock at the time. In retrospect, they more resembled an inspired marriage of the bleak post-punk leanings of Joy Division with the raucous riffage of the Wipers, albeit considerably less accessible thanks to Moss Icon's more sinister tone, Tonie Joy's exploratory arrangements, and frontman Jonathan Vance's almost stream-of-conscious sociopolitical rampages.
In the decades since Moss Icon's disbandment, bootlegged t-shirts and patches have been easier to come by than actual recordings, and the Internet is filled with misconceptions and misinformation, incidentally lending an enigmatic, almost mythical status to the band. Rather than attempt to pull back the curtain, this collection, compiling the group's entire official catalog, serves to permanently document the very important contributions of one very important group from a very formative era of underground music. 19-song, 3LP set with download coupon from Temporary Residence.LP1

Linda Perhacs' Parallelograms was created in the heart of
hippy country, LA's Topanga Canyon, by a dental hygienist
who was inspired by nature and by the cultural revolution
going on around her. When Parallelograms was finished, it sounded like a masterpiece, but the label had pressed it so
poorly, sales were non-existent. Obscurity beckoned.
But in the internet age obscurity can be discreetly transformed into a kind of niche immortality. By 2003, Parallelograms had become a cult album.
And slowly, Perhacs began making music again. In 2010,
she connected with a new generation of LA musicians at tuned to her vision, including Fernando Perdomo and Chris
Price, both accomplished musicians and producers in their
own right. The trio began recording the eclipse song, "River

For more than 30 years Creek Audio has established itself as an expert in the field of radio. Historically, Mike Creek has developed and manufactured radio products since the early 70s. Mike's father also made radio products, so it's in his DNA. The latest DAB radios use bit-compression to turn all radio stations into the equivalent of very poor quality MP3 players. Needless to say, this is the main reason for Creek not offering a DAB radio in its Hi-Fi range. In any case, you don't need to buy a DAB radio when all the digital and analogue stations are broadcast over the internet now. Even analogue stations, broadcast over the internet, are digitised and compressed, so the best way to listen is still via a traditional radio or tuner.
The latest tuner in Creek's EVOLUTION range is the AMBIT FM/AM Tuner module, suitable for adding to the EVOLUTION 50A or the EVOLUTION 100A amplifier. Plugging this tuner into the back panel of the amplifier upgrades the amp into a Receiver. Its Plug and Play nature also allows it to update the amp's software to the latest revision automatically. Once the tuner is installed and the amp is switched-on, the display will show the amp having an extra input - A Tuner input, in fact. However, it will look to the user like a stand-alone tuner in the OLED display window.
Once installed, the four left hand buttons on the front panel, together with the left hand control knob and or remote control handset, will offer all the radio function controls.
The AMBIT tuner receives the entire FM and AM frequency band and digitises it with two high quality ADCs. It then manages the signal using a Digital Signal processor and even separates the left and right channel information in FM. After this, using its own high quality DAC, it returns the digital signal to Audio, to be amplified by the EVOLUTION 50A or 100A.
The result is simply brilliant. FM signals have textbook operation, with none of the usual problems associated with analogue tuner performance. RDS stations will show their name and other information. AM performance is excellent also and can provide excellent performance just from the loop antenna provided, if there is a good indoor signal.
FM radio performance is limited only by the quality of the signal and of course the antenna used. Choose an external antenna for the best results.
Listen to your favourite stations like you have never heard them before.

Already FreeThe Derek Trucks Band have been issuing records (live and studio) that are long on fire, improvisation, and inspiration. Trucks' own skillful leadership has seamlessly melded Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Eastern Indian modal music in a brew that is uniquely his own.
Already Free (2009), the ninth studio album by The Derek Trucks Band, is an exception to the rule. Trucks himself stated that the album has a different feeling compared to their other works because in the past, he always felt pressure to make a guitar album. The difference, he maintains, is that the band has had more time to mature, and the album's sound is more balanced between the different contributions of its members, who developed its overall effect as they arranged the songs that were recorded for this album.
The album has received very positive reviews, and debuted at #19 on the Billboard Top 200 reached #1 on the Blues chart, #1 on the Internet chart, and #4 on the Rock chart. This marks the band's highest debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart to date. The album won the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album, marking the band's first Grammy award.

The Ark WorkLiturgy is a Brooklyn-based, self-styled "Transcendental Black Metal" band whose yearning, energetic music exists in an uncanny space between avant rock, black metal, fine art and shamanic ritual. Led by songwriter and conceptual architect Hunter Hunt-Hendrix, who is joined by guitarist Bernard Gann, bassist Tyler Dusenbury and drummer Greg Fox, the band exists as a 21st century total work of art (gesamtkunstwerk): activating divine potencies by means of music and culture even as it underscores the contradictions inherent in such a project during the internet era. Their third full length, The Ark Work, is a quantum leap forward, a radical change in sound that paradoxically sounds more like Liturgy than ever. The album hums and churns with Hunt-Hendrix's inventive arrangements - drenched with glockenspiels, bagpipes, strings, ritual chanting, and MIDI horns. It supplements its metal energy with motifs from unlikely, disparate genres; cross-fertilizing hardstyle beats, occult-oriented rap, and the glitched re-sampling of IDM with structures from Medieval sacred music, Romantic classical music, and minimalism. The result is a rich, seething cyber-fantasia that is improbably listenable, conveying the disarming, authentic emotion that is Liturgy's hallmark - a blend of startling invention, high caliber musicianship, raw energy, and profound, cosmic sadness. The result is the first true sonic realization of Transcendental Black Metal: a musically cohesive alchemical fusion, an artistically reflexive work of theandery, and a mind-bending album that is as original as it is beautiful.1. SinnerProduced by Country legend Buddy Cannon (George Strait, Merle Haggard, George Jones), and recorded over 16 intense hours at Nashville's Blackbird Studios, SINNER captures Aaron Lewis' mindset, a laid back soundtrack that is reminiscent of the genre's most honest and musically adventurous artists.
"I'd like to think that SINNER is a newer take on classic, traditional Outlaw Country, Waylon and Merle and Willie, and Hank Jr. and Johnny Cash and all that stuff," says Lewis. "That was the music I heard a kid, and that's the Country music that permeated my soul and stuck with me my whole life."
While SINNER may surprise those unaware of Lewis' lyrical depth and vocal authority, hard-core fans of his concerts (which he describes as "a very healthy mix of cowboy hats, baseball caps, tattoos and black shirts") will rejoice in having definitive copies of songs they've been hearing live and on the Internet, some for a couple of years.1. Guilt TripsCanada's own Ryan Hemsworth has become one of the fastest rising producers and remix artist in the past couple of years. Since his first official release in 2012 Last Words on West Coast label Wedidit Collective, he's gained notoriety for his original production and collaborations, and has since then amassed fans and charmed critics all over the world- meanwhile touring Europe, Australia, and North America with the likes of Bauuer, Daedelus, and others.
Now, the man some call "The Internet Zack Morris" and "The Remix Ryan Gosling" is proud to announce his debut album Guilt Trips on famed label Last Gang Records due out in 2013.
On this newest full length, Hemsworth digs deeper beyond the hip hop, r&b and dance music world to inspirations that sprout from a time before he made the type of music that people have come to expect.
"For this project, I wanted to just expand on everything, lay as much as I could out on the table," he explains. "There's a lot more of me on this than my last projects. With a lot of the songs, I had high school in mind and during that time I was making music with my voice, guitar, and samples, so I've gone back to the first two a bit more, and also getting help from vocalists. Some of the club music that I've been surrounded by in the past year can be really cold, so I think once you throw in more melody and emotion that can only come from the human voice and guitar, it becomes a lot warmer."
"I reached out to friends and people I admire really. I wanted kind of unexpected collaborations and people with a uniqueness to them, instead of just reaching out to random top-liners. Someone like Lofty305, who has a weird, certainly not trained voice, made sense for "Against A Wall" because I wanted it to match the mood of the track. That's so much more important to me than making a perfect song. I just wanted to flesh out that charming imperfection on a lot of the tracks. When I asked the people on it to do their parts, I didn't direct them too much but just asked them to think of a breakup or a time when they felt weird or shitty from love. All of my music is sparked from love in some form or another I think, so this album is kind of just a capsule of different moods caused by love."1. Small + Lost (featuring Sinead Harnett)

Attack On MemoryIn 2009, Cleveland, OH's Dylan Baldi began writing and recording lo-fi power-pop songs in his parents basement, dubbing the project Cloud Nothings. His music quickly started making the Internet rounds, and fans and critics alike took note of his pithy songcraft, infectiously catchy melodies, and youthful enthusiasm. Baldi soon released a string of 7s, a split cassette, and an EP before putting out Turning On, a compilation spanning about a years worth of work, on Carpark in 2010. January 2011 saw the release of Cloud Nothings self-titled debut LP, which, put next to Turning On, found Baldi cleaning up his lo-fi aesthetic, pairing his tales of affinitive confusion with a more pristine aural clarity. In the interval since the release of Cloud Nothings, Baldi has toured widely and put a great deal of focus on his live show, a detail that heavily shapes the music of this, his follow-up album, Attack on Memory.
After playing the same sets nightly for months on end, Baldi saw the rigidity of his early work, and he wanted to create arrangements that would allow for more improvisation and variability when played on the road. To accomplish this desired malleability, the entire band decamped to Chicago, where the album was recorded with Steve Albini, and all lent a hand in the songwriting process. The product of these sessions is a record boasting features that, even at a glance, mark a sea change in the bands sound: higher fidelity, a track clocking in at almost nine minutes, an instrumental, and an overall more plaintive air. The songs move along fluidly, and Baldi sounds assured as he brings his vocals up in the mix, allowing himself to hold out long notes and put some grain into his voice. Minor key melodies abound, drums emphatically contribute much more than mere timekeeping, and the guitar work is much more adventurous than that of previous releases.
For all of early Cloud Nothings fun and fervor, Baldi admits that it never sounded like most of the music he listens to. With Attack on Memory, he wanted to remedy this anomaly, and in setting out to do so, Baldi and Co. have created an album that shows vast growth in a still very young band.1. No Future/No Past

ForeverFor their debut full-length Forever, this San Francisco duo pairs classic pop structures with modern electronic production to create instantly memorable melodies that show no sign of their virtual patchwork beginnings.
Whether living four states away or four blocks away, Reese Donohue and Christopher Prudhomme have always used the Internet -- at first out of necessity, later out of preference -- to collaborate on their songwriting.
Although the cousins grew up together in Lafayette, Louisiana, Donohue eventually moved to San Francisco, while Prudhomme stayed near New Orleans.
The newfound distance between them forced the pair to start sending song ideas back and forth via e-mail, a virtual exchange that quickly spawned Painted Palms' first release, Canopy, which was discovered by of Montreal's Kevin Barnes
Tours with of Montreal, Braids and STRFKR soon followed before Prudhomme moved out west to San Francisco, where Donohue still lived.
Yet, despite being in the same place for the first time in years, the duo continued writing songs apart from one another -- completing individual ideas in isolation and piecing them together through the computer.
And so, the songs that would eventually form their debut full-length Forever, came together as if the musicians were still separated by 2000 miles: Donohue sending a short, looping beat and Prudhomme replying with a vocal melody before continuing to bounce the track back and forth between them until it was complete, this time focusing on creating songs with classic pop structures.
As if crafted by tailors so skilled you can never find the seams, the songs on Forever provide no hint of their patchwork beginnings. Instead, the album is permeated with blissfully buoyant tracks like Here It Comes and Forever, which glide smoothly on a foundation of instantly memorable melodies.
Elsewhere, touches of Painted Palms' most prominent influences -- '60s psych pop paired with modern electronic production -- are clearly evident, as on the dark and driving hooks that propel lead single Spinning Signs.
Don't be fooled, though. Underneath the sunny sonic exterior, the lyrics on Forever exist in a different place, with much of the focus centered on how it feels to be caught between the external world and one's own thoughts.
Thinking about myself too much I can see that / I don't know what to be, sings Prudhomme on Forever's title cut.
And in that moment a hint of irony is apparent, for as much as the members of Painted Palms want to get out of their own heads, they're awfully good at writing songs that will immediately get stuck in yours.1. Too High

USB connects computers to all sorts of things: printers, mice, hard drives, CD players, memory sticks, and DACs. USB (Universal Serial Bus) is an excellent interface for computers and peripherals, but less so for sensitive high-end audio equipment. USB connections tie computer power supplies, grounds and noise to connected devices-an unimportant fact for a printer, sonically degrading for a sensitive DAC.
Audiophiles spend a great deal of time and money dealing with USB's pollution and shortcomings: exotic cables, filters, hubs, and external power supplies among the many. Unfortunately, none work as well as we would hope for. Like the challenges inherent in repairing our homes AC power, filters and Band Aids help, but do not solve the problem. Regenerating new power for AC, or new audio for USB, does.
PS Audio's LANRover is unique among USB audio connection devices. Inserted between the computer's USB output and a DAC's USB input, LANRover provides 100% galvanic isolation while regenerating new jitter-free audio data for the first time.
Removing computer generated pollution has major sonic benefits. For perhaps the first time, a new level of clarity emerges from a velvety blackness. Space around each performer is noticeably enhanced, while the glare of digital's edge is replaced by a fullness in the lower registers that's startling. Soundstage width and depth is noticeably wider and deeper and performers now seem in the room on some recordings. The improvements are remarkable.
LANRover is a matched pair solution to the problems of USB audio. The first of the two devices connects to the USB output of the computer or server. Here, timing, noise, jitter, ground, and power supply voltages from the computer are abandoned, and a new individually packetized datastream is regenerated. Unlike USB audio packets, these new data are in a different format, one that does not suffer USB's shortcomings. Data are regenerated in new form and sent over a Cat5 cable in the same format as music you might download from a distant server. Just as you can download and share high resolution music over the internet without compromising performance-and send it next door or around the world-this newly generated data is impervious to distance or cable types.
Once regenerated, data can now travel as near or as far as you need. Use the supplied 1 foot long CAT5 to connect the regenerator to the reclocker to clean up your audio, or route that same data through your home network to distance the computer from the DAC, and the shocking level of improvement provided by LANRover in each case is identical.$599.00USB Transporter Buy Now
