All Mitch Ryder Hits!As a very talented teenager playing in rock and soul bands across the Detroit area, future rock and roll legend Mitch Ryder was soon discovered by mega producer and label owner Bob Crewe (Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons). Having a knack for producing and writing many hit records, in 1966 Crewe recorded Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels in the studio and cut what many believe to be one of the first rock meets blue eyed soul albums with the Take A Ride, which of course featured their first chart topper Jenny Take A Ride. From this moment on, the Mitch Ryder persona was born, becoming a hero to many rock and roll fans throughout the world.
Mitch Ryders numerous appearances on national television shows, the concert circuit and continual airplay on all his records made him a fixture on the music charts. His next number of hit singles and albums truly impacted the way a lot of us listen to music to this day. The two and a half to three minute anthems like Devil With a Blue Dress On/Good Golly Miss Molly, Too Many Fish in the Sea/Three Little Fishes and the near riot pandemonium of Sock It to Me-Baby have all truly stood the test of time.

If ever there was a "band that launched a thousand bands," it would be the Ventures. Founded in Tacoma, WA in 1958, their guitar-based instrumental sound would prove hugely influential, inspiring countless followers to pick up a guitar, bass or set of drumsticks and try to emulate their heroes. As these musical neophytes would soon learn, it wasn't as easy as it initially appeared. The Ventures were masters of tone and technique, deftly arranging their instruments in a seamless approach that was instantly recognizable.
Because they were an instrumental group, their songs needed no translation, which resulted in a huge worldwide following. The MGM SinglesThese days, Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs are best remembered for such infectious 60s hits as Wooly Bully and Lil Red Riding Hood, and for the sartorial splendor of turbaned frontman/organist Sam the Sham (nÉe Domingo Samudio) and his bandmates. But the one-of-a-kind Memphis-by-way-of-Texas quintet produced a large and highly original body of R&B/blues/Tex-Mex/garage tunes that established them as one of the greatest singles bands of the 1960s. While the bands wacky humor and flamboyant visual image may have threatened to brand them as a novelty act, their raw exuberance, rootsy grit and playfully subversive streak made it clear that Sam and his Pharaohs were the genuine article.
Throughout the second half of the 60s, Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs turned out a lengthy string of killer seven-inchers. Many of those singles boasted non-album B-sides that were as memorable as their better-known A-sides. Now, for the first time ever, Sundazed Music has gathered both sides of every one of the bands original MGM Records singles on this lovingly packaged 2-LP collection. The sizzling set includes such immortal Pharaohs classics as Wooly Bully, Lil Red Riding Hood, Ju Ju Hand, Ring Dang Doo, Red Hot, The Hair on My Chinny Chin Chin, How Do You Catch a Girl and (Im in With) The Out Crowd, along with an amazing assortment of rare non-album B-sides, solo efforts and side projects. Foghat LiveIt's one of the greatest rock 'n' roll live albums of all time, and one of the greatest rock 'n' roll albums of the '70s, period. And it (deservedly) vaulted one of the best boogie bands ever to superstardom. But, even in this golden era of classic rock vinyl reissues, Foghat: Live has not seen its killer twin guitar jams recommitted to wax until now! Real Gone Music is proud to bring this legendary live album back to vinyl where it belongs, with a limited-edition package that pulls no punches: 180-gram vinyl, with painstaking replications of the original die-cut jacket and of the 4-color cardboard inner "Eurosleeve" that peeks out through the die-cut. First Time 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl Release
Mastered Impeccably By Joe Reagoso At Friday Music And Capitol Mastering, Hollywood, CA
Features The 1970 Concert Classic 19 Minute Version Of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
Iron Butterfly is truly an amazing success story in the record business. For over forty years, this band remained a significant force in the classic rock world with their original mix of rock, metal and classic leanings, solidifying them as one of the true purveyors of the progressive rock movement. Founded by the multi-talented keyboardist/vocalist Doug Ingle in San Diego in 1966, the band hit the charts immediately and soon became one of the key favorite biker bands and west coast hard rockers alongside entities like Steppenwolf, Grateful Dead and The Doors.
Their live performances were challenging, loud, exciting and definitely original, which brought them huge popularity in a very short period of time. 1968 changed everything as In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida became a massive smash garnering Iron Butterfly major success globally. This tune displayed the first example of a driving hard rock jam and lyric, with classical, organic and tribal rhythms, making it one of the most important songs of our time. Featuring Doug Ingle's keyboard and vocal expertise, Lee Dorman's power bass, guitar shredder Erik Brann, and Ron Bushy's primitive drum beat, this amazing stage shows will forever be associated with the acid rock era, which paved the way for heavy metal bands into the seventies and beyond.
ATCO Records knew the power of their live performances, therefore the quartet was awarded with another smash Lp, the concert recording masterwork chart topper Iron Butterfly Live. The 1970 smash contained 6 smokin' selections from their first three hit albums. Hard rock is abounding like the 19 minute workout on In-A Gadda-Da-Vida and other killer jams like Soul Experience, Are You Happy and Filled With Fear.

Joy Division: Box SetReleased in a Limited Edition of only 3,000 copies worldwide, this 180-Gram virgin vinyl, four-disc JOY DIVISION BOX SET contains new pressings of the band's two seminal studio albums - UNKNOWN PLEASURES ('79) and CLOSER ('80) - and the 1981 two-disc rarities compilation STILL.
JOY DIVISION: BOX SET allows you to experience these pioneering albums the way they were heard originally - on sonically rich vinyl LPs. The three titles - a total of four LPS - come housed in an elegant cloth-covered box designed by U.K. artist Peter Saville, who created the distinctive artwork and packaging on the original issues of these classic releases. Once the 3,000 copies sell out, the box will not be reproduced.
Joy Division's 1979 debut UNKNOWN PLEASURES is a landmark album that established the band as principal architects and ultimate icons of the post-punk movement and the U.K. Manchester scene of the late '70s. UNKNOWN PLEASURES' ten classic songs resonate with the atmospheric textures and deep sonic spaces of Martin Hannett's production. Highlights include Insight, Disorder, New Dawn Fades and She's Lost Control. The latter song is the inspiration for the title of the 2007 film Control, the acclaimed Anton Corbijn-directed feature chronicling the life and times of Joy Division's lead singer and principal songwriter, the late Ian Curtis.
Joy Division's 1980 follow-up CLOSER, another seminal post-punk masterpiece, ranks #157 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time. Musically and lyrically driven by the prevailing despair of Ian Curtis - who killed himself only months after the LP was released - CLOSER was also produced by Martin Hannett, who weaves sprawling emotional chaos and shifting atmospheres and textures together into an enormously powerful ten-song tour de force. Stand-outs include Heart And Soul, Isolation, Eternal, Decades and the wrenching Twenty Four Hours.
The compilation STILL came out in late 1981, over a year after Curtis' death. Comprised of twenty studio outtakes, b-sides, live cuts and other rarities, all the tracks were previously unissued at the time of STILL's original release except for Glass and Dead Souls, both compelling studio recordings from 1978 and 1979, respectively. STILL also presents material from Joy Division's last-ever concert, recorded at Birmingham University in May 1980 including the only time they performed Ceremony live (the song would later become a New Order single). Another track captured at Birmingham is Shadowplay, a selection covered in 2007 by The Killers for the soundtrack for the film Control. Other highlights include a live cover of The Velvet Underground's Sister Ray and a 1979 studio recording of Something Must Break.
Joy Division formed in Manchester, England in 1977, and had an immense and profound impact on contemporary music in a very brief time together. They recorded only two full-length studio albums, UNKNOWN PLEASURES and CLOSER, prior to lead singer Ian Curtis' 1980 suicide, just before the single Love Will Tear Us Apart became their breakthrough hit. The remaining members - guitarist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook and drummer Stephen Morris - disbanded Joy Division after Curtis' death, and re-formed as New Order.Unknown Pleasures Track Listing:

"As songwriters, Bernie and myself are thrilled when singers we admire and respect as much as those on Revamp choose to add their own unique twist in the process. It means that our music is still relevant and ultimately that our songs continue to reach new audiences. We're humbled and thank them all for their generosity."

DistortionsMinneapolis was their home turf. But in the decades that followed, appreciation for Distortions swelled to tidal wave proportions among fans of amped-up, ramped-up, balls-to-the-wall rock'n'roll. Headlined by two red-hot, stone-cold killers, "Action Woman" and "Soul Searchin'"-both penned by producer Warren Kendrick-Distortions is arguably the greatest private-press garage band album of the era.
The Litter formed in 1966 as a merger between two popular Twin Cities combos, the Victors and the Tabs. They quickly established a reputation as the wildest, loudest band on the scene. Bill Strandlof was responsible for the incendiary, feedback-laced guitar work on "Action Woman"-a local hit for the band when released as a single in January 1967-but by the summer he'd been replaced by another fast-fingered guitar slinger, Zippy Caplan. Caplan's fiery leads helped ignite the remainder of Distortions, including smoking interpretations of the Who's "Substitute," the Small Faces' "Whatcha Gonna Do About It," an intense reading of "Codine," and a comprehensive reconstruction-destruction of "I'm A Man."
Sundazed is thrilled to present the first-ever from-the-masters vinyl reissue of Distortions, housed in the dead-cool original artwork and pressed on 180-gram vinyl. Pure, unfiltered '60s garage rock excitement is just a needle-drop away.1. Action Woman
