    Rocket

Rocket is Philadelphia-based artist Alex G's eighth full-length release-an assured
statement that follows a slate of humble masterpieces, many of them self-recorded and
self-released, stretching from 2010's RACE to his 2015 Domino debut, Beach Music.

Amid the Rocket recording process, Alex made headlines for catching the attention of
Frank Ocean, who asked him to play guitar on his two 2016 albums, Endless and Blonde.
More than any stylistic cues, what Alex took from the experience was a newfound
confidence in collaboration. Rocket wears this collaborative spirit proudly, and in its
numerous contributors presents a restless sense of musical experimentation - effortlessly
jumping from distorted sound collage to dreamy folk music to bouncing Americana.

Rocket illustrates a cohesive vision of contemporary American experience; the cast of
characters that Alex G inhabits have fun, fall in love, develop obsessions, get in trouble,
and-much like rockets themselves-ultimately they burn out. Alex, though, in a collection
of songs that's both his tightest and most adventurous, is poised only for the ascent.

This Double Star-Quad Geometry "Rocket" cable does not look normal on the outside, and it is not at all normal on the inside. A sophisticated combination of extraordinary materials and extremely refined design allows the Rockets to honor all types of music equally.

SOLID LONG-GRAIN COPPER/PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER (LGC/PSC) CONDUCTORS: Rocket 33 uses a carefully finessed combination of Long-Grain Copper and extremely high-purity Perfect-Surface Copper. LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, less impurities, less grain boundaries, and definitively better performance. The astonishingly smooth and pure PSC further eliminates harshness and greatly increases clarity.

CARBON-BASED NOISE-DISSIPATION and CROSS-TALK-DISSIPATION SYSTEMS (INSULATION): The four negative conductors in Rocket 33 are insulated with partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene. This remarkable material damps radio-frequency garbage from being fed back into the amplifier. The sonic benefit is exactly the same reduction in "hash" and better dimensionality that comes whenever RF garbage is reduced in an audio circuit. Rocket 33 uses Nitrogen-Injected Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation on its positive conductors because air absorbs next to no energy, and Polyethylene is low-loss with a benign distortion profile. Thanks to all the air in Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation, it causes much less of the "out-of-focus" effect common to other materials.

DOUBLE STAR-QUAD GEOMETRY: The relationship between conductors defines a cable's most basic electrical values (capacitance and inductance). However, even when those variables are kept in a reasonable balance, the relationship between conductors can be varied in ways that greatly affect the sound. The Double Star-Quad construction of Rocket 33 allows for significantly improved dynamic contrast and intelligibility compared to parallel conductors.

SPREAD-SPECTRUM TECHNOLOGY (SST): Any single size or shape of conductor has a specific distortion profile. Even though radially symmetrical conductors (solid or tubular) have the fewest discontinuities, any conductor of a particular size does have a sonic signature. SST is a method for significantly reducing the awareness of these character flaws by using a precise combination of different sized conductors. The different SST-determined conductor sizes used in Rocket 33 allow an exceptionally clear, clean and dynamic sound.

Rocket 44 incorporates Perfect-Surface Copper+ into its blend of conductors. PSC+ has fewer grain boundaries, which reduces harshness in the sound. This carefully finessed combination of PSC and PSC+ enables Rocket 44 to deliver a clear and faithful presentation.

SOLID PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER+/PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER (PSC+/PSC) CONDUCTORS: Rocket 44 uses a carefully finessed combination of extremely high-purity Perfect-Surface Copper+ and Perfect-Surface Copper. The astonishingly smooth and pure PSC further eliminates harshness and greatly increases clarity. Rocket 44's conductor mix is dominated by PSC+.

CARBON-BASED NOISE-DISSIPATION and CROSS-TALK-DISSIPATION SYSTEMS (INSULATION): The four negative conductors in Rocket 44 are insulated with partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene. This remarkable material damps radio-frequency garbage from being fed back into the amplifier. Rocket 88 incorporates AudioQuest's patented Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) and replaces Long-Grain Copper with solid Perfect-Surface Copper+. DBS offers a lower noise-floor, so you can hear deeper into the nuances of your favorite music. At the same time the addition of more PSC+ offers a smoother, more relaxed, and natural sonic timbre and texture.

SOLID PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER+ (PSC+) CONDUCTORS: Rocket 88 uses a carefully finessed, optimized and extremely high-purity Perfect-Surface Copper+. The astonishingly smooth and pure combination of PSC+ significantly eliminates harshness and greatly increases clarity. Rocket 88's conductor mix is PSC+.

CARBON-BASED NOISE-DISSIPATION and CROSS-TALK-DISSIPATION SYSTEMS (INSULATION): The four negative conductors in Rocket 88 are insulated with partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene. This remarkable material damps radio-frequency garbage from being fed back into the amplifier. The sonic benefit is exactly the same reduction in "hash" and better dimensionality that comes whenever RF garbage is reduced in an audio circuit. Rocket 88 uses Nitrogen-Injected Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation on its positive conductors because air absorbs next to no energy, and Polyethylene is low-loss with a benign distortion profile. Thanks to all the air in Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation, it causes much less of the "out-of-focus" effect common to other materials.

DIELECTRIC-BIAS SYSTEM (DBS, US Pat #s 7,126,055 & 7,872,195 B1): All insulation slows down the signal on the conductor inside. When insulation is unbiased, it slows down parts of the signal differently, a big problem for very time-sensitive multi-octave audio. AudioQuest's DBS creates a strong, stable electrostatic field which saturates and polarizes (organizes) the molecules of the insulation. This minimizes both energy storage in the insulation and the multiple nonlinear time-delays that occur. Sound appears from a surprisingly black background with unexpected detail and dynamic contrast. The DBS battery packs will last for years. A test button and LED allow for the occasional battery check.

DOUBLE STAR-QUAD GEOMETRY: The relationship between conductors defines a cable's most basic electrical values (capacitance and inductance). However, even when those variables are kept in a reasonable balance, the relationship between conductors can be varied in ways that greatly affect the sound. The Double Star-Quad construction of Rocket 88 allows for significantly better dynamic contrast and information intelligibility than if the same conductors were run in parallel.

    Rocket Ship Beach (Awaiting Repress)

Formerly lead singer with the acclaimed US alternative rock band the Del Fuegos, Zanes launched his solo career in 1995 with the release of Cool Down Time. Produced by Mitchell Froom with help from Tom Waits associate Tchad Blake, this collection anchored elements of blues and country as accompaniment to Zanes` dark narratives of loss, hurt and betrayal. As well as a cover version of Mose Allison`s `If You Live`, the artist`s own writing included the affecting ballad `Carelessly` and the tough blues of `Rough Spot`.

After relocating to New York City in the late 90s, Zanes settled down to family life with his wife and new baby. He began playing with a group of fathers under the name the Wonderland String Band, recording a number of privately distributed tapes. The idea evolved into a series of CD releases on Zanes` Festival Five label, featuring guest artists including Sheryl Crow, Aimee Mann, Lou Reed, Suzanne Vega and Dar Williams alongside the original band`s partners and children. Mixing standards, original material and childrens` songs in a delightfully unprententious manner, the series attracted positive reviews and even earned Zanes a Grammy Award for 2006`s Catch That Train!

Features New 40th Anniversary 'Tracking Mix' By Original Rocket To Russia Engineer/Mixer Ed Stasium

    Limited To 15,000 Copies

Rhino will continue their Ramones archive releases with a 40th anniversary super deluxe edition of the band's third album, Rocket to Russia.

The 1977 album is reissued as a 3CD+LP set and features two mixes of the album: a remastered version of the original and a new 40th Anniversary 'Tracking Mix' by original Rocket To Russia engineer/mixer Ed Stasium. The latter provides a 'back-to-basics' version of the album, and has a different track listing from the 1977 original. Stasium explains things in the sleeve notes: "When putting together this new Tracking Mix, I decided to include the versions of 'I Don't Care' and 'It's A Long Way Back to Germany,' since they were recorded during the Rocket To Russia sessions at Mediasound, and are completely different takes that have never been heard before. Sheena has been omitted, as it was recorded in a totally different session a few months prior, in-between the Leave Home and Rocket To Russia albums." Both of these are squeezed onto the first CD.

The second CD contains 24 rare and unreleased recordings including rough mixes from sessions at Mediasound and The Power Station. There's also an early version of Needles And Pins (with Tommy on drums), the B-side single mix of Babysitter, an alternate version of It's A Long Way Back To Germany with Dee Dee on vocals and more.

The final CD includes a complete unreleased concert included on the third disc. The gig is from 19 Dember 1977 at the Apollo Centre in Glasgow, Scotland. This has been newly mixed from the multi-track tapes by Ed Stasium.

The fourth disc is a vinyl LP which actually features the tracking mix, not the original album.

As with previous sets this comes packaged in a 12 x 12 hardcover book and will be limited to 15,000 copies. The pages in the book feature stories about the band by Sire Records founder Seymour Stein, details about making the album by Stasium, and extensive liner notes by Jaan Uhelszki.

    Willy and the Poor Boys

Willy & The Poor Boys, the fourth album by one of the world's all-time greatest rock bands, Creedence Clearwater Revival, remains a top-selling album in
the CCR catalog with over 2 million copies sold to date. Reaching the top 50 in six countries upon its release in 1969, including France where it went to
#1, the album stands as a landmark international success and one that cemented the band's legacy as a vanguard of American rock 'n' roll.

This newly re-issued vinyl edition contains the ubiquitous chart-topping hit, "Down On The Corner," which rocketed into the top 10 in the Billboard Hot 100 in the US
upon its release in 1969 and continues to be a mainstay on classic rock radio today. Additionally, the visceral "Fortunate Son" is included here - an
incendiary protest song that became inextricably linked to the Vietnam war, resulting in its addition to the National Recording Registry by the Library of
Congress in 2014 for being culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant. One of the greatest pure rock 'n' roll records ever cut, Willy & The Poor
Boys is an absolute "must-have" for any serious classic rock fan.

The Old 97's are an alternative country/rock band from Dallas, Texas formed in 1993.

They are recognized as pioneers of the alt-country movement during the mid to late 90s along with bands such as Uncle Tupelo, Drive-By Truckers, Whiskeytown, The Jayhawks, and The Bottle Rockets.

Too Far To Care is the third studio album by the band, originally released in 1997. The album's title comes from the song Streets of Where I'm From.

Lyrically the band's constant touring is evident in songs like Barrier Reef (with references to Chicago), Broadway (in New York City), and Niteclub (inspired, according to the band, by clubs in Cleveland, Ohio and Ann Arbor, Michigan).

Four Leaf Clover was originally recorded on Hitchhike To Rhome, the first Old 97's album. Rhett (vocals/guitar) was searching for a duet to record with friend Exene Cervenka and had started work on an old-fashioned duet that I thought we might sing, but Exene proclaimed it 'too pretty'. That song later became Fireflies. Instead, Exene sang on Four Leaf Clover, replacing the lyric nothing to impress you with nothing to attract you which Rhett found much sexier.
