Heavyweight 180 Gram Vinyl
Certified Triple Platinum
Reached Number One In The UK And The Us
The Wall is the eleventh studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It is the last studio album released with the classic lineup of guitarist David Gilmour, bassist/lyricist Roger Waters, keyboardist Richard Wright and drummer Nick Mason before Wright left the band. Released as a double album on 30 November 1979, it was supported by a tour with elaborate theatrical effects, and adapted into a 1982 feature film, Pink Floyd - The Wall. The album features the band's only number one single; Another Brick in the Wall Part 2.
As with Pink Floyd's previous three albums, The Wall is a concept album and explores themes of abandonment and personal isolation. The album is a rock opera that follows Pink, a character whom Waters modelled after himself and the band's original leader, Syd Barrett. Pink's life begins with the loss of his father during the Second World War and continues with abuse from his schoolteachers, an overprotective mother, and the breakdown of his marriage; all contribute to his eventual self-imposed isolation from society, represented by a metaphorical wall. Waters conceived the album during Pink Floyd's 1977 In the Flesh Tour, when his frustration with the audience became so acute that he imagined a wall between the audience and the stage.
The Wall features a harsher and more theatrical style than Pink Floyd's previous albums. Wright left the band during its production but remained as a salaried musician, performing with Pink Floyd during the Wall tour. The album was one of the best selling of 1980, and by 1999 it had sold over 23 million RIAA-certified units (11.5 million albums), making it the third highest certified album in the United States. Rolling Stone placed The Wall at number 87 on its list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.LP1

Wish You Were HereRanked 209/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
On its release in 1975 Wish You Were here topped the album charts in both the UK and the US. Reflecting the band's thoughts of the time on the music business, and exploring themes of absence, Wish You Were Here contains the classic cut Shine On You Crazy Diamond, a tribute to founder member Syd Barrett.
Since 1967 Pink Floyd have produced one of the most outstanding and enduring catalogues in the history of recorded music. The albums have been painstakingly remastered by James Guthrie (co-producer of The Wall). Artwork designed by long-time artwork collaborator Storm Thorgerson. As a part of their Why Pink Floyd? campaign, EMI has chosen to release three titles on collector's vinyl LP (throughout the year 2011 and into early 2012) including The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall. Off The WallRanked 68/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Michael Jackson recorded solo prior to Off the Wall, but the 1979 album was undoubtedly his breakthrough and it firmly established the former Motown star as a prolific charting solo artist in his own right. Disco beats accompany a fusion of rock, soul and funk here in a visionary mix that is equal parts dancefloor and lush ballads.
Songs like Don't Stop Till You Get Enough, Off The Wall, Rock With You, She's Out Of My Life and Girlfriend display the brilliant songwriting and intoxicating blend of melody and rhythm that would turn Jackson into the biggest pop star in the world.1. Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (Album Version)

Roger Waters The Wall
Limited Edition Triple 180 Gram LP Set
Accompanies The Concert Film, The Wall, Filmed During Waters' 2010-2013 Tour
Now that Roger Waters has released his new concert film of The Wall, filmed on the former Pink Floyd singer-songwriter's recent world tour, he is putting out an accompanying soundtrack album. Between 2010 and 2013, the singer performed the 1979 double-album, home to Comfortably Numb and Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2), live more than 200 times. Like the film, the soundtrack, titled Roger Waters The Wall, contains recordings from around the world and is being released as a 3 LP Set.
Waters performed the album for approximately 4.5 million people during the course of the tour with help from an 11-person backing group. Singer Robbie Wyckoff handled the vocal parts that Floyd's David Gilmour sang on the original record, while the guitars were handled by Dave Kilminster, former SNL bandleader G.E. Smith and Snowy White, the last of whom performed on Floyd's original The Wall tour. Waters' son Harry performed Hammond organ and piano on the tour.
Frequent Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich, who provided music production and mixing for the film, produced the album.
The soundtrack will run longer than the original Wall album, which spanned only two LPs, as it includes two songs removed from the original release - Last Few Bricks and What Shall We Do Now? - which Floyd had added back in for live performances. This version of The Wall also includes The Ballad of Jean Charles de Menezes, which Waters incorporated into his performances of the album beginning in 2011 in tribute to a 27-year-old Brazilian man that London police killed thinking, wrongly, that he was a terrorist.
The soundtrack marks the third time The Wall has been released as a live album. In 1990, Waters released The Wall: Live in Berlin, which he'd recorded and filmed less than a year after the Berlin Wall fell with a star-studded cast, including Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Marianne Faithfull, the Band, SinÉad O'Connor, Cyndi Lauper and Tim Curry, among others. A decade later, Pink Floyd released Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live 1980-81, which contains recordings of Waters' final tour as a member of the band.
Waters told Rolling Stone that the meaning behind The Wall hadn't changed for him over the years. The context changes, but the story remains the same, he said. If people see this movie, what I hope is that that they may look at one another and go, 'You know what? We are a community, and we are many. There are a lot of us.'

Klipsch Heritage Cornwall III Floorstanding Speaker
Premiering in 1959, the Cornwall speaker was fashioned to serve as a larger, full-range substitute for the Heresy when positioned as a center channel speaker between two widely spaced Klipschorns. When it was taken out of production in 1990, there was an uproar from consumers that resulted in a letter-writing campaign and even a petition to make this legendary loudspeaker available once more.
This illustrious speaker, now called the Cornwall III, has returned better than ever. A three-way design that uses horn-loaded compression drivers for the midrange and treble and a direct-radiating 15-inch woofer for the low frequencies, the Cornwall provides the full-range bass response of the Klipschorn® with sensitivity and output nearing the fully horn-loaded models. This new version of the Cornwall III includes a riser-base, which was previously optional.
- A three-way design using horn-loaded Midrange and high frequency compression drivers for the midrange and treble.
- Direct-radiating 15-inch woofer for powerful low frequencies.
- Available in a high-quality Black Ash, Cherry, or Walnut wood veneer finish

Onwards To The WallWithout any official testing, Dead Oceans can safely say that the master recording for Onwards to the Wall is the loudest one ever submitted to the label for approval. Usually, they crank the volume to catch any digital pops or hisses that may foil a master. But this one they actually had to, ashamedly, put at half volume. This thing is pummeling. Theres no other way to capture the music of A Place To Bury Strangers than just beyond the boundary of whats considered properly loud. Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by APTBS themselves, this is the sound of a band in control of making out of control music.
Onwards to the Wall packs every bit of the searing sonic maelstrom listeners have come to expect from APTBS. Yet, the adroit songcraft thats always been there is brought more to the fore, pop hooks are repurposed and more instantly recognizable. Now joined by bassist Dion Lunadon, formerly of The D4, Ackerman has found a crucial companion in pulling timeless melodies from their jet engine textures. Standout So Far Away takes all the pure pop perfection of The Box Tops The Letter and shoots it through with a barely-harnessed dark energy and snarling propulsion. The title track carries a similar balance of classic, '60s-pop hooks and doomed-out vibes, employing a boy-girl vocal trade-off thats at once both sexy and menacing.
Onwards to the Wall is a fresh, complete artistic statement from A Place To Bury Strangers . Its a new chapter, a prelude for what awaits us on the horizon. It is a taste of greatness to come.1. I Lost You

Between The Walls is the third album by About Group, the quartet of
John Coxon [Spiritualized], Charles Hayward [THIS HEAT], Alexis Taylor
[Hot Chip] and Pat Thomas, and will be released through Domino
Recording Co. on July 02!
Between The Walls captures the sound of a band 'playing' together, in
both senses of the word - experimenting and trying things, being
playful, as much as being a group performing as a unit together. The
album is the sound of people pushing towards and pulling against one
another simultaneously. It is the sound of buzzing amplifiers, sudden
musical non-sequiturs, loud blasts of straight synth lines cutting through
melody and structure. And it is also the sound of beautiful and odd
electronic textures and brilliantly defined and deliberate drums, underpining fragile but deliberate performances of sad songs and country
The sense of the unexpected runs through Between The Walls. Not an
improvised album and certainly not just a set of songs the record is a
document of creative experimentation given free reign.

Scrape The WallsAfter three long years, here's the latest record from Oakland punk-fuzz-rock-?!? faves The Fleshies!
After releasing The Sicilian and years of their mind-warping worldwide tour marathon, the band withdrew into drummer Brian Hamiltron's Sugar Mountain Studios to work on a new opus. Breaking away from the punk rock tradition of banging out a record in a few days, they took their damned sweet time making the most ridiculous album possible.
Scrape The Walls is a spirited 17-song record that successfully molests punk rock in a similar manner to how Sparks unwholesomely molested glitter rock, the Melvins mauled rock, or the Butthole Surfers maimed music in general. (Speaking of Sparks, this album includes a delightful cover of Happy Hunting Ground with Jello Biafra on guest vocals!)
Scrape the Walls bounces everywhere from somewhat sunny-dispositioned pseudo anthems to sludgy, stoner rock-esque castings, all glazed with Fleshies' inimitable sense of fuck-you humor. But honestly, no 200-word summary can neatly tie up the disorderly strands of ideas and musical chaos that is Fleshies and we wouldn't want to do them such disservice so we will just say Scrape the Walls is exactly the kind of record AT should be releasing and leave it at that!1. REDD-SUN-5142xVince Martin & Fred Neil
Tear Down The WallsThe rumbling baritone of Fred Neil and Vince Martins earthy tenor... Its a vocal blend every bit as impressive as the great duos in music history: the Everly Brothers and Simon & Garfunkel with a Greenwich Village twist, of course. Put Neil and Martin, a pair of New York City folkie legends-in-the-making, into a recording studio with a young, pre-Spoonful John Sebastian on harmonica and Felix Pappalardi (later to produce Cream and the Youngbloods) on guitarron (an acoustic Mexican bass guitar) and magic is inevitable. This, of course, is Fred Neil in 1964, well before he just walked away from the folk scene and split for Florida and premature retirement in 1971, to remain an enigma until his recent death. Every recording by this compelling, monstrously talented singer/songwriter should be cherished like spun gold. The Handwriting Is On The WallOn Vinyl For The First Time In Over 30 Years!
Released in 1979, The Handwriting Is on the Wall boasted some high-powered funk backdrops, but for the most part the album finds Peebles taking on a set of straight-ahead soul numbers in which she was usually either taking a man away from some woman who didn't know how to hold on to him, or was warning the ladies why they should stay away from her significant other. Peebles is a tower of defiant sass on I Didn't Take Your Man and You've Got the Papers (I've Got the Man), she leaves no doubt about why she's dating outside her age group on Old Man with Young Ideas, and Bip Bam Thank You Mam alerts listeners to the consequences of not pleasing Ms. Peebles. Willie Mitchell pairs Peebles up with some full-bodied soul and funk arrangements for these songs, and while unfortunately most of the great Hi Rhythm Section were unavailable for this record, the players on board do fine work, even if the groove lacks the ineffable touch of Peebles' finest work. The Handwriting Is on the Wall was Ann Peebles' last album for Hi, and the last new set she would release until 1988, but it captures one of the great R&B singers of the 1970s doing what she does best, and here she bows out on a high point.1. Wall Of SoundI thought WALL OF SOUND would be the toughest album I would ever make. I was so satisfied with my previous album, INFERNO, more than I have ever been in my whole career. Musically, sonically, and most importantly, I was satisfied with the melodies and soundscapes on a personal level. It was as if I finally found the key to something.
Even as I was still working on INFERNO, I was thinking, how the hell am I ever going to top this next time? I was doomed.
I started WALL OF SOUND with a daunting blank slate and somehow, ideas came out. Refined ideas, complex ideas, small and large scale ideas and plenty of them.
It was as if the exhaustive process of putting INFERNO together strengthened a new creative muscle that I had never zoned in on before, so the first steps of writing WALL OF SOUND felt like a runner who runs a marathon after over-training for a long time. I was well warmed up.
The guitar playing on the album also came quite easy, despite it being without question the most evolved guitar playing of my career. It's a challenge to evolve on one's instrument album after album, especially on your 13th solo album. Luckily this is a challenge that I love. You will find this hard to believe when you hear the density and sheer amount of guitar coming at you from all directions, but in fact, all of the final guitar tracks on WALL OF SOUND were done in 9 days.
This furious and productive pace was made possible by over a year of making demo after demo and spending more time listening and living with the music rather than playing it. I had lived with the songs and edited them so incredibly many times, that by the time I got to the actual recording studio, it was like I had been playing the whole album on tour for a year already. I learned to do this from making INFERNO. This is why a lot of artists` debut albums are so strong - because they have had so much time to reflect on and fix the music, and also, more importantly, attach real life experiences to the songs. I feel like I have a debut album here.
Jinxx from Black Veil Brides and I wanted to do something that would shock his fans and my fans. I arranged a monster of a tune called Sorrow & Madness based on a melody that Jinxx wrote on the violin. I took his sweet melody and added so many twists and turns that it became a mammoth of Martyisms in tandem with a large side of Jinxx that has yet to be heard by his fans. We are both very proud of what happened.
I think Deafheaven is the one heavy band that comes to mind when people ask me to recommend something that`s not Japanese!, I was super excited to work with Shiv from Deafheaven. We wrote Pussy Ghost together and it is one of the most aggressive songs I have ever played, while at the same time evoking grotesquely beautiful moods that I have never felt before. One thing I learned from making INFERNO is that when you have a guest, let them come up with music first. Let it be their baby, so they are personally invested in the song. Then arrange it and do it my way, then add more things together. This gives you a final song that really sounds like both of the people put their heart and souls into the music, as opposed to one guy doing everything and the guest just blasting out a solo somewhere.
Jorgen from Shining also guested on INFERNO and when we finished that song we immediately started talking about what we would do next. For those who don`t know Shining, they are like a steroided out and genius level musicianed out version of Nine Inch Nails for the 21st century, with a charismatic singer/composer (Jorgen) and a wicked sense of melody, that hits me in the gut on every song. (Just Gimme) Something To Fight is the one vocal track on the record and it kills. Even after finishing this song we have started working on more new things for who know what
Having super engineer Paul Fig (Ghost, Alice in Chains, Rush), mixer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Lamb of God) and even the producer responsible for many of Queen's biggest hits and my idol Brian May's guitar sounds, Mack do the mixing on 2 of the songs on the album, is an honor for me for sure.1. Thin WallsThe world is growing ever smaller. There are less places to hide and less space to think. Nothing is private. It's a notion that Belgian quintet Balthazar felt keenly as they traversed the world touring their 2012 album Rats. It was an intense period where they clocked up the sort of hard road mileage that can make or break a band but Balthazar's two songwriters, Maarten Devoldere and Jinte Deprez, emerged emboldened. As Jinte explains, we know each other's darkest secrets now. We grew together. You live together as each other's brother and sister. We discovered we really like each other.
Lives lived in each other's pockets has left its mark on Thin Walls, the stunning new album from the five-piece who are completed by Patricia Vanneste, Simon Casier and Michiel Balcaen. Thin Walls is all about touring and never having any privacy, says Jinte. The songs were written in a hazy hyperactive state between shows. Balthazar's previous two albums, 2010's Applause and the calculated, searing alt-rock of 2012's Rats, were created in a slow, considered manner back home. This time round, the band had to fit in writing sessions whenever they had a spare day off. When you're on tour, the mood is very restless and chaotic, says Maarten. Secret Walls EPThe Fresh & Onlys have had an unusually prolific past couple of years. On the heels of their critically acclaimed album Play It Strange, the band returns with a bold creative leap forward on their new EP Secret Walls. The cavernous opening sounds of Secret Walls reveal the strong threads of hazy post-punk melancholy that have been woven throughout the bands catalog and have now fully matured. Tim Cohens crooning baritone is more confident and commanding than ever as it is sewn into the dizzying tapestry of the melody, while the guitar sounds of Wymond Miles often suggest the dynamic interplay of Verlaine/Lloyd. Long in the works, this EP was recorded in guitarist Miles San Francisco studio and properly captures their ambience while bringing forward Kyle Gibsons lock-step drumming and the unique melodic play of bassist Shayde Sartin. It is the next logical step for the F&Os and their moody, jangly guitar pop.1. Secret Walls
