FragileFragile is the fourth studio album from the English progressive rock band Yes, originally released in 1971 on Atlantic Records. It is their first album recorded with keyboardist Rick Wakeman in the band's line-up after Tony Kaye was fired for having a lack of interest in learning more electronic keyboards. Formed of nine tracks, four are group performances while the remaining five are solo features written by each member. Its cover was designed by Roger Dean, who would design their future band logo, stage sets, and many of their future album covers.
Fragile received a positive reception upon its release and was a commercial and critical success, reaching No. 4 on the US Billboard Top LPs chart and No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart. Roundabout was released as a single in the US which reached No. 13 and is one of the band's best known songs. 4 Page Booklet
Includes Alternate Versions Of Everydays, Dear Father & Something's Coming
Yes (1969) is considered among the first progressive Rock albums. The original line-up of vocalist Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye, and drummer Bill Bruford remained intact for the album's recording.
In an era when psychedelic meanderings were the order of the day, Yes delivered a surprisingly focused and exciting record that covered lots of bases in presenting their sound. The album opens boldly, with the fervor of a metal band of the era playing full tilt on Beyond and Before, but it is with the second number, a cover of the Byrds' I See You, that they show some of their real range. The song is highlighted by an extraordinary jazz workout from lead guitarist Peter Banks and drummer Bill Bruford that runs circles around the original by Roger McGuinn and company.
We've included a bonus LP to the original package, with early versions of other songs, previously not included on the album. With remastered audio and augmented by a 4-page booklet, this is an essential Prog collector's item!LP1

Two legends, together again. Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake and Half Japanese's Jad Fair have teamed up to bring you their new magnum opus, "Yes". Encompassing all the songwriting eccentricities that have made
these guys famous, this new collaborative album also features some of the most genteel, engagingly catchy, and downright adorable music in recent memory.
Norman Blake and Jad Fair originally collaborated over a decade ago on the Teenage Fanclub and Jad Fair album "Words of Wisdom and Hope" (Domino/Alternative Tentacles). Unlike the simple, aggressive style of
Half Japanese, the 13 new tracks on "Yes" feature refined, guitar-laden power-pop and saccharin-sweet melodies, accompanied by backup singers and layered horn arrangements. Fair's characteristically-manic vocal style is still present, but when coupled with the head-bopping, articulately-layered arrangements of Norman Blake, the result is a potently earnest album that is brimming with positivity.1. Yes And Also Yes (Awaiting Repress)The title for Mike Doughty's new album, Yes And Also Yes, was the headline of his profile during an unsuccessful foray into online dating. Most of the songs found here were written at the legendary artists' colony Yaddo, where Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, James Baldwin, Truman Capote, Flannery O'Connor, Carson McCullers, Sylvia Plath and a lot of all-time giants once worked.
The album was recorded in a studio in Koreatown, Manhattan from July of 2010 to April of 2011 and was produced by Pat Dilett. Supporting musicians include Andrew 'Scrap' Livingston on bass and Thomas 'Doveman' Bartlett on piano. Lee Dorsey began his career as a lightweight boxer in the early 1950s and moved on to become an influential African American pop and R&B singer during the 1960s.
His successful period began when he met songwriter and record producer Allen Toussaint with whom he recorded several songs like Ya Ya, Working In The Coalmine, Ride Your Pony and many more which all charted in the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
In 1970 Dorsey recorded the Yes We Can album again with Allen Toussaint together with the support band The Meters. Several of the songs were covered by major artists who scored hits with them later that decade; Yes We Can by The Pointer Sisters and Sneakin' Sally Thru The Alley by Robert Palmer. The other songs are straight up funky tracks and have a variety of styles and sounds. Included are the protest soul recording Who's Gonna' Help Brother Get Further and the somewhat hilarious comedy song Would You. All in all it stands as a great soul album for that time.

Say Yes To Love
These punk kids from the mean streets of Syracuse, New York, deliver high-energy
slabs of mayhem-friendly post punk noise, a wall of guitar and Casio. Meredith
Graves knows how to run her mosh pit like a dictator runs a birthday party." - Rolling
"In just four short songs, Perfect Pussy has spoken more truths than many artists with
20-year-spanning discographies, and with news of a debut full-length in the works,
now is probably a good time to start bracing yourselves. It might get a little uncomfortable, but trust me, the shake-up is worth it." - Complex
"One of the boldest new rock bands." - Pitchfork
Since releasing their 4 song demo cassette I Have Lost All Desire for Feeling
in late 2013, Perfect Pussy have taken the music world by storm. Their harsh
yet refreshing lyrics paired with the assaulting vocals of singer Meredith
Graves drew in audiences from all crowds. While often muffled by the wall
of sound built buy the guitar, bass, drums and synth, it is the brutal truths of
Graves' lyrics and the power of her live delivery that has had everyone
from Rolling Stone to Pitchfork to The New York Times praising the power of
this rising band.
With Say Yes to Love Perfect Pussy have begun to hone their sound while
retaining the rough around the edges noise that first drew listeners in. The first
track, "Driver", grabs the listener and drags them into the chaotic world of
this brief but powerful album. The songs kick and punch but it is the dense,
honest lyrics that will make the listener feel the most. Filled with conflict and
confidence and despair and desire, these are songs that stay with the
listener long after the album has ended.1. Driver

REDI-BAR-1117xDeath Cab For Cutie
We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes
Newly Reissued 180 Gram Version
Like the also-great Idaho or Wheat, to file Death Cab for Cutie under the mellow-pop umbrella that shelters tranquil chamber outfits such as Red House Painters, Low, or (post-dance-pop) Talk Talk would do them a gross, miscalculated service. While they're no strangers to the tickling knelling of guitars searching out the extra space found in laggard tempos, that predilection only encompasses a fourth of Death Cab for Cutie's output (like on Title Track and Little Fury Bugs). Heck, they're not even remotely quiet for half of We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes -- the best and brightest LP of their three fine albums to date. Ben Gibbard has turned into a sublime composer, using melodies sparingly but with splendid tunefulness, as all four players marinate his writing with delicately plucked, picked, and pulled arpeggios, ringing chords, and non-obvious atmosphere building. Verily, the slow, broody stuff is but a change of pace; it's when the volume doubles (if only occasionally crashes), when the band shows potency, that We Have the Facts starts flying, soaring with exigency beyond even the threatening storm clouds from the last flight plan, 1998's Something About Airplanes. Lowell, MA and Company Calls are perfect examples: drummer Nathan Good actually gets to punish his snare and toms, the other three dig in with him, and the words indie pop suddenly sounds fresh and alive, with real aggressive, post-dream pop guitar popscapes. Loud and soft, or most of all both, and plenty of points in between, DCFC write and record finished songs that emote, that do more than merely fill a slot in a form in a preconceived genre. In short, they're superb. And getting greater.

The Photo Album
Newly Reissued 180 Gram Version
Released in 2000, We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes delivered on the promise of You Can Play These Songs with Chords and Something About Airplanes. For once, a band's popularity grew commensurate with its maturation. Despite the heightened attention, singer/songwriter/guitarist Ben Gibbard next let loose Death Cab for Cutie's finest moment, Photobooth, the lead track on the sparkling Forbidden Love EP. New fans worldwide swooned under its beguiling romantic rise 'n' fall and its lingering, bittersweet, wallet-sized artifact. And though it wouldn't have killed them to include Photobooth here -- for its spotless greatness and thematic likeness -- The Photo Album's ten tracks are of the EP's heightened caliber. Gibbard's words screen intriguing mini-films of the mind, stoked by corresponding daydreamy music. An exquisite liaison of the British penchant for ringing, knelling, subconscious guitars and direct/grittier American drive, the band is tight, evocative, and inventive. Bassist Nick Harmer and drummer Michael Schorr lock in creative rhythmic bases, while Gibbard and Chris Walla's guitar work gives the band climactic, cinematic coloring shades. And, in the end, it's Gibbard's remarkable abilities as a writer and singer that are on display most. Each word draws you in via his sweet, thoughtful guy voice. The solo 1:47 opener, Steadier Footing, is merely a starter course, but it feels like an entrÉe: And this is the chance I never got/To make a move, but we just talk is only one measure of the chances/plans/dreams/connections and relationships that have eluded him or fizzled. Reeled in, one is left to look back over one's own smoldering wreckage, of opportunities or attachments lost -- much as A Movie Script Ending's abrupt turn Passing through unconscious states/When I awoke I was on the highway somehow segues into the couplet With your hands on my shoulders/A meaningless movement, a movie script ending. Like Photobooth, it's a typically sobering, adverse assessment of how unromantic the romanticized can become. That it's a great pop song, arresting in its jerky wobble, is just another point in its, and this LP's, favor. The world needs more superb pop with brains and heart and emotional complexity.

Weezer (Blue Album) (Blue Vinyl)Ranked 297/500 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Limited Edition Numbered Blue Colored Vinyl LP
Mastered From The Original Master Tapes
Features Superb Room-Filling Sonics
1990s' Ultimate Geek-Rock Record: Includes Buddy Holly, Undone (The Sweater Song), & Say It Ain't So
Weezer doesn't look like rock stars, its amusing name doesn't evoke stadium-heights glories, and the group's lyrics don't exude confidence or flash. For precisely these reasons, and the fact that the band's songs on its self-titled debut are the stuff of air-guitar dreams and shout-it-out choruses, the quartet became ironic arena-rock stars equally celebrated by in-the-know hipsters and mainstream radio listeners. Replete with urgent melodies, quirky confessional narratives, wry humor, and gargantuan hooks, Weezer (Blue Album) remains the best geek-rock record ever made.
Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g blue-colored vinyl at RTI, Mobile Fidelity's analog version of the 1994 release Rolling Stone named the 297th greatest album ever recorded finally possesses the grand-scale sonics that the music's bunker-busting hooks deserve. Cars frontman Ric Ocasek's polished production is now both free of artificial ceilings that squashed the explosive dynamics and rid of the compression that saddled the frequency range. Instrumental separation is vastly improved, and the amount of midrange energy seemingly doubled. This reissue is guaranteed to help you rock out.
Underdogs and misfits, Weezer emerged from Los Angeles as nerdy kids that eschewed traditional party-hard ways in favor of studying Kiss records, engaging in conversations about old LPs, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. The band's awkwardness joyfully translates in its songs on its 1994 debut, largely concerned with jealous insecurities, pop culture, true-to-life heartbreak, common accidents, youthful misconceptions, and daydreaming. Unlike many of their indie-rock peers, Weezer finds no need to conceal feelings in obscurities, snark, or impossibly impenetrable quirkiness.
While every song on Weezer is a delight, In the Garage, the ultimate ode to a heavy-metal practice space and private musical retreat, best spells out the album's appeal and the band's intent. I've got an electric guitar/I play my stupid songs/I write these stupid words/And I love every one/Waiting there for me/Yes I do, I do/In the garage/No one cares about my ways/In the garage where I belong sings leader Rivers Cuomo, his voice often meshing with that of Matt Sharp, and giving the material a barbershop-quartet harmonic boost in line with the catchiness of the guitar-driven bridges and rhythmic foundations.
More than three-times platinum, the Blue Album, as it's often called, also claims an iconic cover that pays tribute to that of the Feelies' Crazy Rhythms. The picture - as well as the bubblegum-inspired content within - has become an indelible part of modern culture. Weezer graces must-have lists from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Guitar World, and more. And needless to say, My Name Is Jonas, Say It Ain't So, Buddy Holly, and Undone (The Sweater Song) are all modern classics.

DramaDrama is the tenth studio album from the English rock band Yes, released on 18 August 1980 on Atlantic Records. It is their only album to feature Trevor Horn in the band's line-up as lead vocalist, following the departure of Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman in March 1980 after unsuccessful recording sessions in Paris and London for a new album. Horn was joined by Geoffrey Downes, his partner in the new wave band The Buggles. Drama was recorded in a short amount of time as a tour was already booked prior to the change in personnel. It marked a departure in the band's musical direction with songs more accessible and aggressive that featured the use of modern keyboards and a vocoder.
Drama was released to a mostly positive critical reception, with most welcoming the band's new sound. The album peaked at No. 2 in the UK and No. 18 in the US, their lowest charting album there since 1971 which fell short of reaching Gold certification by the RIAA. Into the Lens was released as the album's sole single. Yes toured the album with a 1980 tour of North America and the UK, and were met with some negative reactions during the latter leg over the new line-up change. They disbanded at its conclusion; Horn ventured into producing, Howe and Downes co-formed Asia, and Squire and White formed Cinema with Trevor Rabin which led to a reformed Yes in 1983.1. Topographic Drama - Live Across AmericaIn the Summer of 2016, YES embarked upon an ambitious tour. At each show, the band performed its 1980 album 'Drama' in its entirety - for the first time ever - plus sides one and four from YES' 1973 double-album 'Tales From Topographic Oceans' (their first number one album), together with fan favourites like 'Roundabout' and 'Starship Trooper'.
Rhino salutes the influential progressive rockers - who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year - with the new live album, TOPOGRAPHIC DRAMA - LIVE ACROSS AMERICA. The music will be available as a Triple-LP. The release features detailed cover art designed by the band's longtime collaborator Roger Dean.
The new collection features live performances from 12 dates recorded on the tour in February 2017, by the current Yes line-up: Steve Howe (guitars), Alan White (drums), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Billy Sherwood (bass), Jon Davison (vocals), and additional drummer for this tour Jay Schellen.
TOPOGRAPHIC DRAMA - LIVE ACROSS AMERICA highlights the best performances from the 2017 leg of the 12-show tour and mirrors the set list from those concerts. Each night, Yes opened with all six songs from Drama (1980), the band's tenth studio album, which peaked at No.2 on the U.K. Album Chart. Standouts include 'Machine Messiah', 'Tempus Fugit' and the album's only single 'Into The Lens'.
After 'Drama', the band shifted gears for songs from two of its best-selling albums: 'And You And I' from 1972's 'Close To The Edge' (UK Platinum) and 'Heart Of The Sunrise' from 1971's 'Fragile' (UK Platinum).
Next, the group played the opening and closing tracks of its concept album, 'Tales From Topographic Oceans' (1973). Howe's exceptional guitar work on 'The Revealing Science Of God' and White's propulsive drumming on 'Ritual' have always been regarded as ground-breaking. The album concludes with two live staples: 'Roundabout' from 'Fragile' (1971) and 'Starship Trooper' from 'The Yes Album' (1971).
Among the world's most influential, ground-breaking, and respected progressive rock bands, YES was founded in 1968. The Grammy-Award® winning recording artists have sold more than 50 million records in a career that has so far spanned six decades.LP 1

Tales From Topographic OceansTales from Topographic Oceans is the sixth studio album from the English rock band Yes, originally released as a double album on 7 December 1973 by Atlantic Records.
Yes is among the longest lasting and most successful of the '70s progressive rock groups, proving to be one of the lasting success stories from that musical genre. The band, founded in 1968, overcame a generational shift in its audience and the departure of its most visible members at key points in its history to reach the end of the century as the definitive progressive rock band. Where rivals such as Emerson, Lake & Palmer withered away commercially after the mid-'70s, and Genesis and King Crimson altered their sounds so radically as to become unrecognizable to their original fans, Yes retained the same sound, and performed much of the same repertoire that they were doing in 1971, and for their trouble, found themselves being taken seriously a quarter of a century later. Their audience remained huge because they had always attracted younger listeners drawn to their mix of daunting virtuosity, cosmic (often mystical) lyrics, complex musical textures, and powerful yet delicate lead vocals.1.
