A Passion Play
Original Album Remastered
'A Passion Play' is the sixth studio album by Jethro Tull, released in 1973. Like its predecessor, Thick as a Brick (1972), it is a concept album the theme being the spiritual journey of one man in the afterlife.
On release it had chart success around the world hitting no. 1 in the US & no. 13 in the UK.
Early in 1968, a group of young British musicians, born from the ashes of various failed regional bands gathered together in hunger, destitution and modest optimism in Luton, North of London. With a common love of Blues and an appreciation, between them, of various other music forms, they started to win over a small but enthusiastic audience in the various pubs and clubs of Southern England. The breakthrough came when they were offered the Thursday night residency at London's famous Marquee Club in Wardour Street, Soho.1. Lifebeats/Prelude (Stereo Mix)

WarChildOriginally released in 1974, Warchild represented a radical departure from the previous year's A Passion Play. Developing out of an ambitious project involving a film, a soundtrack and conventional album, eventually only the latter appeared.
In 1974, Jethro Tull announced plans for Warchild, a multi-faceted project that was to encompass a feature-length film, a soundtrack album, as well a new album from the band. In October of that year, Tull released a 10-song album that would climb to #2 in the U.S. and the top 15 in the U.K., but the film and accompanying soundtrack were shelved.
Warchild features one of the group's most stable lineups and includes Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, John Evans, Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond and Barrie Barlow. Unlike its predecessors - Thick As A Brick and A Passion Play - which featured 40-odd minutes of continuous music, WarChild marked a return to songs of a more conventional length, including the FM-radio staple, Bungle In The Jungle. \

Buttons: Starter KitAt the launch of the Numero label near-on a decade ago, they already had an unquenchable thirst for power pop, glam, and regional bar rock. This affliction led to the double disc Yellow Pills: Prefill compilation, which was intended as the first entry in a series that, they regret to report, got stalled out in committee.
Seven years after its release, YP became the first Numero effort to be put to sleep. Emails began trickling in about the missing catalog number: Would YP ever be issued on vinyl? Would there ever be a second volume? Was The Toms track "Sun" actually recorded in the '80s? Hoping to satiate the masses, the Numero brain trust has conceived Buttons as their brand-spanking-new power pop umbrella, and is pleased to announce the first two titles in the series: Buttons: Starter Kit and Buttons: From Champaign To Chicago.
Numero's entry-level power pop 2LP compilation, Buttons: Starter Kit, features 20 songs from the original 004, plus two bonus cuts, new liners, tons of sleeve scans, photos, and ephemera, all housed in a spot varnished, brick-thick gatefold sleeve!LP1

Homo Erraticus (Out of Stock)In 2012 Ian Anderson released Thick As A Brick 2, the followup to Jethro Tull's legendary concept album. The album was a critical and commercial success, charting around the world. In April he returns with Homo Erraticus, his new studio album.
The original Thick As A Brick album, released in 1972, was based around the poem of disgraced child prodigy Gerald Bostock. For Homo Erraticus Anderson is reunited with Bostock, using lyrics written by Gerald based on an old historical manuscript. The manuscript examines key events from throughout British history before going on to offer a number of prophecies for the future.
Suitably dramatized and exaggerated by Bostock as metaphors for modern life, he presented Anderson with ideas for 14 songs, which have now been set to music. The result is Homo Erraticus.
The album will be released on Anderson's own Calliandra Records label in conjunction with Kscope on April 15th.
Following the release of this "Jethro Tull album" in all but name, Ian and his band will be embarking on an extensive UK tour, where they will play the album in its entirety followed by a selection of Tull classics. These shows will be followed by further tours in Europe, America and more later in the year.
The double vinyl edition of the album is pressed on heavyweight (180g) vinyl and packaged in a gatefold sleeve with an 8 page booklet.1. Doggerland
