The soundtrack from the motion picture Titanic is the highest-selling primarily orchestral soundtrack ever. Back in 1996-1997 the American composer James Horner was approached by director James Cameron, after the musician Enya declined to work on the project. With the help of Will Jennings he wrote the signature song My Heart Will Go On, after he chose CÉline Dion to sing the song. It became an worldwide smash and an instant classic. Horner used both electronics as an orchestra to create the layered pieces for the soundtrack. The beautiful cues are interwoven in the story line, from the romance to the tragic downfall of the boat. It's an exceptional score which shows us ho great the composer James Horner was.

Titanic is a 1997 American epic romance-disaster film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ship during its ill-fated maiden voyage. Upon its release on December 19, 1997, Titanic achieved critical and commercial success. Nominated for fourteen Academy Awards, it tied with All About Eve (1950) for the most Oscar nominations and won eleven, including the awards for Best Picture and Best Director, tying Ben Hur (1959) for the most Oscars won by a single film. With an initial worldwide gross of over $1.84 billion, Titanic was the first film to reach the billion-dollar mark.

Music Composed By James Horner (Titanic, Braveheart, The Magnificent Seven)

    First Time On Vinyl

For Avatar, James Cameron (Titanic, Aliens, The Terminator)hired long-time collaborator, James Horner, to provide the musical character for his sci-fi fantasy film.

The music had to match the images with its own power to transport us to a world of powerful emotions. It had to reach deep into your hearts, to allow us not only to see but to feel. The music is our key to the emotional understanding of this film.

James Horner knew when he took on the scoring of Avatar that it would be the challenge of a lifetime. The music is classic in its orchestral power but also connects us to the soul of the Na'vi through the use of indigenous rhythms and vocals.

During the theatrical run, the film broke several box office records and became the highest-grossing film of all time, surpassing Titanic (also directed by James Cameron), which had held those records for twelve years. Avatar was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, and won three, for Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects.

This 2xLP album is packed in a gatefold sleeve with a 6-page insert and the first 5,000 copies are individually numbered and pressed on limited blue colored vinyl.

    The Amazing Spider-Man Soundtrack

One of the big names in modern film music, James Horner, wrote the score having more than 100 to his credit. He is best know as the composer of the orchestral film soundtrack, Titanic, in 1997. He is the winner of two Academy Awards and two Golden Globes (in both cases Best Original Score for Titanic and Best Original Song for My Heart Will Go On in the same film), and gained eight further Academy Award nominations. His best-known work includes the soundtracks of such classics as Aliens (1986), Braveheart (1995), A Beautiful Mind (2001) and Avatar (2009). Horner's music underlines both the exciting action of the film and its personal, touching, romantic moments. Seeking a composer who could express both grandeur and intimacy, movie director Marc Webb felt that Horner was a genius at exactly that. I wanted to create a score that felt massive and huge but also intimate and small. (Webb).

    The Revenant Soundtrack

Limited Edition Of 3000 On Pearlescent Colored Vinyl

Following the success of 2014's Birdman (Winner of four Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director), director Alejandro G. Iñárritu pushes the limits of film making with the survival epic The Revenant. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio (Titanic, Wolf of Wall Street), Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight Rises) and shot in the frozen Canadian wilderness with only natural lighting, The Revenant is a story of loss, revenge and resilience in the face of impossible odds against the furies of man and nature itself. The film is heavily favored to be a critical darling as awards season gets under way. Director Iñárritu has chosen to forgo almost all dialogue in favor of a gorgeous soundscape and a sweeping score. A film of this magnitude deserves a composer who understands creative artistry and unbridled passion. Japanese master and Oscar winner Ryuichi Sakamoto (Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, The Last Emperor) fits the bill perfectly. Along with fellow Yellow Magic Orchestra member and frequent collaborator Alva Noto, Sakamoto has created a gripping soundtrack that is sure to be a treat for the winter crowds. Bryce Dessner (writer for Kronos Quartet and the LA Phil) also supplies additional music.

    Winter is coming!

Game of Thrones is the wildly successful fantasy drama television series created for HBO by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of A Song Of Ice And Fire, George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels. Its fourth season premiered on HBO in April 2014, with already two more seasons in preparation. The series, set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos at the end of a decade-long summer, interweaves several plot lines. The first follows the members of several noble houses in a civil war for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms; the second covers the rising threat of the impending winter and the mythical creatures of the North; the third chronicles the attempts of the exiled last scion of the realm's deposed dynasty to reclaim the throne. The series explores issues of social hierarchy, religion, loyalty, corruption, civil war, crime, and punishment.

Game of Thrones has attracted record numbers of viewers on HBO and obtained an exceptionally broad and active international fan base. It also received widespread acclaim by critics. The series has won numerous awards and nominations, including nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and the Golden Globes.

The soundtrack was scored by German composer Ramin Djawadi, best known for his Grammy-nominated score for Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Clash Of The Titans and for the TV series Prison Break. The fourth season soundtrack also features a single The Rains Of Castamere by Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. Real Gone Music's First-Ever North American Release Of The Soundtrack Comes In Sepia-Toned Vinyl

    Gatefold Packaging Features Production Stills

    Limited Edition Of 1000

Rare is the soundtrack that as
    time passes overshadows the film
of which it was a part, but that's
what has happened in the years
since the 1992 release of The Last
of the Mohicans. Not that the flm
    is any slouch; Michael Mann's
    epic retelling of James Fenimore
Cooper's frontier tale is a cable
    TV fxture and more evidence
that Daniel Day-Lewis is one of
the great actors of our time. But
the flm's music has emerged as easily one of
the most popular scores of '90s cinema, with the "Main Title" in
particular having become a part of our popular culture the same
way as, say, the signature themes from Titanic, Star Wars, and other
    blockbusters.

What makes it even more extraordinary is that the
movie's score emerged from postproduction turmoil as the work
of two different composers, Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman.
Jones' work is more of the traditional orchestral soundtrack ilk,
Edelman's has a more contemporary feel, but somehow it all fts,
with the closing credit song "I Will Find You" by Clannad an added
    bonus.

    Commando (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

    Limited Edition Of 1500

Bone With Black Face Paint Splatter Colored Vinyl

    First-Ever Release On Vinyl

2-LP Set Inside A Gatefold Jacket Festooned With Production Stills

Includes Three Tracks That Did Not Appear In The Movie

    Having released the Predator
soundtrack to great acclaim, we at
Real Gone Music now turn to another
key film in the career of Arnold
    Schwarzenegger, Mark Lester's 1985
    film Commando.

    Coming on the
    heels of the enormously successful
    first Terminator film, Commando
    showed that Schwarzenegger
wasn't just a (excuse the pun)
    robotic ex-bodybuilder on screen
but a real actor capable of
    playing a multifaceted character,
with a real gift for comedy.

Commando also heralded Schwarzenegger's arrival as the
biggest action star in Hollywood, a mantle he would cement two
years later with Predator. But the two films had more in common
than just their leading man. They both benefited from innovative,
propulsive soundtracks courtesy of, for Predator, Alan Silvestri, and,
for Commando, the great James Horner, composer of scores for
Avatar, Titanic, Braveheart, and too many blockbusters to name. For
Commando, Horner brilliantly used the South American setting of the
film as a jumping-off point, incorporating pan flute and, especially,
steel drums into pulsating, suspenseful motifs.

    For the first-ever
release of the Commando score on vinyl, we have taken the tracks
that appeared on the extended CD version-complete with three bonus cuts
of music that did not appear in the movie and The Power Station's "Someday, Somehow, Someone's Gotta Pay"-to create a double LP
set housed inside a gatefold jacket featuring production stills. Limited edition of 1500 in bone with black face paint splatter vinyl!

ln Summer 2014, the world's most revered monster is reborn when the epic action adventure Godzilla is released. From visionary new director Gareth Edwards (Monsters) comes a powerful story of human courage and reconciliation in the face of titanic forces of nature, when the awe-inspiring Godzilla rises to restore balance as humanity stands defenceless.

Film composer Alexandre Desplat was hired to compose an original soundtrack for Godzilla. Desplat had not composed previously for a monster film, having worked on movies such as The King's Speech, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and the final two Harry Potter films. Desplat accepted the contract after being impressed with Edwards' Monsters. Desplat describes the soundtrack for Godzilla as non-stop fortissimo, with lots of brass, Japanese drums, and electric violin. The score is also conducted by Desplat.

    Yellow Submarine

Sourced From the Original Master Tapes

    Pressed on 180 gram vinyl

    Cut at Abbey Road Studios

The soundtrack to The Beatles' animated film of the same name, Yellow Submarine presents four new Beatles tracks recorded between 1967 and early 1968. In addition, George Martin's score for the film rounds out the effort. While not considered a "proper" album, Yellow Submarine contains many memorable moments-George Harrison's psychedelic "Only a Northern Song," peppered with organ and candid sentiments, and "It's All Too Much," carried on the shoulders of a mesmerizing Mellotron, gigantic percussion, and titanic guitar feedback.

A team consisting of some of the best producers and engineers in the recording industry were brought together and would spend 4 long years mixing and mastering with some of the most state of the art recording equipment. Treating these records much like a science experiment, engineers ran extensive tests before copying the analog master tapes over into a digital format using 24-bit/192 kHz resolution, and carefully removing clicks, vocal pops and poor edits. Never altering the original songs themselves, just polishing them up a bit.

The pleasure is all ours in announcing a new Blue Series single from Charleston, SC's own Shovels & Rope. Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent are definitely our favorite inter-gender rock n roll two piece since... well, you know (somewhere Alison Mosshart yells ''WTF?!'')... and we're certainly excited to present this Blue Series single featuring two covers of real life titans of the biz. Side A gives us Shovels & Rope's piano heavy take on Bruce Springsteen's ''Johnny 99'' while the flip is a slinky hip shaking version of Tom Waits' ''Bad As Me''. This is the perfect soundtrack for two doomed souls dancing in the glow of a jukebox in a greasy spoon diner... We reckon Messrs Springsteen and Waits should be mighty proud.
