    Tonight's The Night

By 1975 Young had written some of the most enduring anthems in rock history. But from the slow, tension-building piano opening of Tonight's the Night, he downshifts into darkness and Crazy Horse's folk-country melodies take on a guttural hum that would eventually speak to generations of punk and grunge musicians.

Inspired by the overdose deaths of two of Young's friends, roadie Bruce Berry and guitarist Danny Whitten, the title track (and its closing reprise) is a hypnotic cry of why? Even the relative party songs, Come On Baby Let's Go Downtown and Roll Another Number, fit the album's bus-to-nowhere resignation. -Steve Knopper

Roxy - Tonight's the Night Live

Produced By Young And The Late David Briggs

Mixed By John Nowland With Updated Post-Production And Mastering By John Hanlon - Along With Chris Bellman - At Bernie Grundman Mastering Using The Original Analog Master Tape Source

One of the most sought-after recordings from his vast archives, Roxy - Tonight's The Night Live. This was the first public performance of many of the songs that would make up Young's seminal album Tonight's The Night, which would not be released until June 1975. The album's final track Walk On would not appear until the release of On The Beach, in July 1974.

Young would be the first artist to christen the stage at what would become one of the world's great clubs, The Roxy Theater on the riotous Sunset Strip, right next door to the already infamous Rainbow Bar & Grille. The shows took place on September 20-22, 1973.

Produced by Young and the late David Briggs, these resultant recordings were mixed by John Nowland with updated post-production and mastering by John Hanlon - along with Chris Bellman - at Bernie Grundman Mastering using the original analog master tape source. Close your eyes and you'll be right there in that dark, smoky, 500 capacity room in West, L.A. on a hot summer night in 1973.

Tonight's The Night would go on to be named one of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time, and universally praised for its dark honesty and unapologetic raw delivery. The very same can be said for Roxy - Tonight's The Night Live.

    Live Rust

Mere months passed between the release of Neil Young's mid-career milestone Rust Never Sleeps and this 1979 tour recording, which documents a late-'78 San Francisco performance. Indeed, Live Rust boasts four songs from the album that gave it its name. It's also sequenced in the same spirit as its studio sibling. As with Rust Never Sleeps, Live Rust opens with steady-flowing acoustic numbers before swirling into an electric vortex. What was side 4 off the original two-record version--Like a Hurricane, Hey, Hey, My, My, and Tonight's the Night--is arguably Young and Crazy Horse at their peak as a live unit, with all due respect to 1991's estimable Weld and 1997's desultory Year of the Horse. Few rock bands rank with Young and his stalwart electric trio, and Live Rust presents them in all their raging glory. -Steven Stolder

    Saturday Night Special

When a band finds their audience, it's obvious right away. There's a connection that goes beyond the music, beyond the lyrics, beyond the musicians. It's about capturing a moment together that bonds the audience and the music, and the band that is giving it their all. Louden Swain found their audience when they were first asked to perform at a fan convention for the long running CW television show, Supernatural.

For the past four years the indie rock foursome has lent their sound to what is a celebration of the show, and the coming together of a community. Each weekend (and there are more than 20 of them a year across the globe) the band serves as the "house band" think what the Roots do on the Tonight Show) and introduces the actors to the stage. Then on Saturday night they put on a two hour concert which encompasses both the and's 20 year history of original music, and guest appearances from fellow Supernatural actors performing songs they have chosen. The result is the Saturday Night Special.

A show that is about family, emotions, overcoming life's setbacks, and living in the moment. This brand new release features 14 tracks culled from multiple shows between Nov. 2015 and Dec. 2016 and features guest appearances from some of Supernatural's most recognizable faces including Jensen Ackles, Ruth Connel, Kim Rhodes, Brianna Buckmaster, Matt Cohen, Osric Chau, Gil McKinney, and Richard Spreight Jr.

    Time

2013 release from the rooster-haired Rock icon, his first album of new material in almost 20 years. Time marks Stewart's long-awaited return to his songwriting roots and features 12 tracks, 11 of which he wrote and produced. Time was born from a burst of inspiration from which he rediscovered his voice as a songwriter and rekindled his gift for writing the honest, nerve-touching narratives that have been the cornerstone to the first three decades of his career. Since 1991, Stewart, the lyricist and melodist behind such staples as Tonight's The Night, You Wear It Well, You're In My Heart, The Killing of Georgie and the indelible Maggie May, had simply lost his songwriting muse. But, beginning in 2011, during the period he began working on what would become his internationally best-selling autobiography, Rod, it returned.

The release of Run On Sentence's third studio album Feelings, follows frontman Dustin Hamman's work on "Beneath the Harvest Sky", which is playing in theaters across the United States after screening at the Toronto and Tribeca film festivals.! On Feelings the impressive musical diversity made evident by his soundtrack work, is reined in and focused to create a lush landscape that is instantly familiar and yet completely it's own. While working on the album, Hamman listened to only one other album, Tonight's the Night by Neil Young. Hamman says he wasn't trying to recreate it, just garnering inspiration from it: I'm particular about what I listen to because it seeps into my work... that was my favorite album at the moment I've no grand notions of trying to recreate it but if anything managed to seep from that record to this one I certainly won't complain.

    Bluenote Cafe

Recorded at various shows during Neil Young and Bluenote CafÉ's 1988 tour, this superb live set documents one of Neil's most funky and heartfelt periods, featuring 7 unreleased songs - Soul of a Woman, Bad News Comes to Town, Ain't it the Truth, I'm Goin', Crime of the Heart, Doghouse, Fool for Your Love, - and a searing 19+ minute version of the immortal Tonight's the Night at The Pier in New York City. It was a wild night.

One of the most influential artists of all time, Neil Young has set a standard of artistic integrity and iconoclastic creativity. Before starting his multi-platinum solo career, he was a founding member of the folk-rock band Buffalo Springfield and worked with the groups Crazy Horse and Crosby, Stills and Nash. The Canadian singer-songwriter was recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 for his work as a solo artist and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1982.

Young's philanthropic work is as renowned as his musical legacy. His famous Bridge School Benefit Concert has become a yearly tradition since 1986 and continues to boast an incredible line-up of high-profile artists. Each year, Young donates all of the proceeds to the Bay Area's Bridge School, which assists children with severe physical impairments and complex communication needs. He was also one of the original founders of Farm Aid in 1985, and continues to be an active member on the organization's board of directors.

A Church That Fits Our Needs

A Church That Fits Our Needs, the second album by North Carolina group Lost In The Trees, is underway, announcing itself as a work of vaulting ambition, a cathedral built on loss and transformation. In the summer of 2009, Ari Picker, writer, composer and architect of the band, lost his mother, an artist in her own right, when she took her own life. Picker was in the midst of releasing his bands debut album, All Alone in an Empty House, a collection of folk-inflected songs that surprised with its orchestral arrangements, to an acclaim usually reserved for seasoned veterans: both heart wrenching and beautiful, said Paste, while the Huffington Post called the album spellbinding in its musical ambition, touching in its intimacy, and often overwhelming in its emotional honesty. Picker took the loss of his mother and set about transforming the events into a tribute, composing, writing lyrics, his mothers picture above his writing desk: the same picture that now graces the albums cover. I wanted to give her a space, in the music, to be, and to become all the things she didnt get a chance to be when she was alive.

The result is A Church That Fits Our Needs, an album that can stand beside musical journeys like Neil Youngs Tonights the Night and Bon Ivers For Emma, Forever Ago. Pickers astonishing voice, an instrument that veers from Carl Wilsons emotional purity to the otherworldly abstractions of Thom Yorke, opens our window into this intensely emotional music. While this might sound like a somber affair, A Church That Fits Our Needs is anything but. Picker, a classically trained composer, has Shostakovich and Stravinsky at his fingertips, but the music on this album speaks just as much to his love of Phil Spector and old film scores. Above all this is pop music, in the way that A Day In the Life or Radioheads No Surprises are pop music, seeking to present complex ideas to the widest possible audience. This is the album Picker set out to make, a celebration of the woman he calls a warrior, and a testament to the power of music to heal and transcend.

Two-time Grammy nominated band The Lumineers have returned with the follow-up to their platinum-selling debut album. Following many years honing their craft, the Denver-based trio found success on the strength of their songwriting, melodies, and timeless approach, which lead to sold out arenas, massive festival slots, the cover of Billboard Magazine and appearances on Saturday Night Live, Ellen, The Tonight Show, The Late Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Austin City Limits and Conan.

The Lumineers' new album Cleopatra is the natural continuation of the sound audiences all over the world fell in love with; it's the sound of a band who hasn't let success change who they are, a band that still leaps into the crowd for a sing-along, a band making music to bring people together.

    Long Way From Home

Third Man Records is proud to announce the forthcoming releases of Leon Redbone's Long Way From Home, the never-before-released earliest known recordings of the mysterious performer. Redbone's career has spanned over four decades and began with his earliest performances on the folk festival and club circuit. His numerous appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Saturday Night Live and other outlets catalyzed his rise to international recognition. Over the ensuing years he has appeared throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Japan and released thirteen albums of his unique music, a panoply of early music styles that he delivered with his singular laconic idiosyncratic style. A true champion of early American ragtime, blues and jazz, Leon Redbone has spent a lifetime preserving that musical tradition while exposing successive generations to a rich musical heritage of which they might not otherwise have become aware. Recorded in 1972 by Dave Benders for WBFO Radio at the University of Buffalo, Long Way From Home features some of the first Leon Redbone recordings. Tell The Ones I Love

Coming off their 2012 Grammy-winning album, "Nobody Knows You, and this album proves to hold equal charisma and sharpness that brought their first
album so much success. They are currently touring with the widely popular Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. This has increased the bands fan base greatly. They have been playing to sold out venues with enthusiastic audiences. They have literally been bringing the house down and winning audiences over with their incredible musicianship and hard driving renditions of some of their own compositions in a set of their own. Yes, the Steep Canyon Rangers
have received widespread exposure & critical acclaim as Steve Martin's backing band, but anyone who knows the Steeps and has heard them play, know that it is Steve Martin who is THEIR celebrity! Even Steve would tell you that.

Along with winning the Grammy for their last album Nobody Know You(without Steve) they have also won multiple IBMA awards, including Entertainers of the Year. They will be the hosts of this year's IBMAs as they move to their new home on North Carolina. The Steep Canyon Rangers have very close ties with Steve Martin, and he hugely supportive of them plugging the band whenever possible. They have appeared with him on countless national television programs such as Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight
show with Jay Leno, The View, The Today Show, plus many more.

Steep Canyon Rangers wanted Tell The Ones I Love to reflect the spirit of their concerts-an original, freewheeling, high-energy approach to bluegrass
that rests mainly on the songwriting of Graham Sharp and Charles Humphrey. They recorded the album almost entirely live, using few overdubs. While the Steep Canyon Rangers were certainly open to recording songs by other composers, or to dip into traditional material, Campbell ultimately had them record all original tunes, based both on the strength of the songs and the band's arrangements. A good decision all around.

    Ride Out

Bob Seger has emerged from the studio equipped with a new album, Ride Out, set to be released on Capitol Records. The first single, "Detroit
Made," pays homage to America's love affair with the automobile. The uptempo song hit radio airwaves August 15, serving as the perfect backdrop to the
20th annual Woodward Dream Cruise, the world's largest one day celebration of classic car culture.

"I feel really good about this record," says Seger. "This album touches on how I think a lot of us feel about finding our place in a more complicated world - from how we appreciate things as simple and pure as love, to navigating through the corruption and violence that permeates the news. It sums up a lot of
feelings I have about a variety of subjects."

Produced by Seger, the new collection stays true to his legendary sound as he effortlessly marries rock, blues and country, yielding an album with all the
hallmarks of the rocker's deep catalog of hits. Seger began teasing tracks from the album during his 2013 tour, including "Detroit Made," "All of The
Roads" and "California Stars." Ride Out is Seger's first studio album since his 2006 platinum-certified Face The Promise and follows his 2011 platinum-certified release, Ultimate Hits: Rock and Roll Never Forgets.

Bob Seger has sold more than 51 million albums and has racked up 13 platinum and 7 multi-platinum RIAA-certified album sales awards in the U.S.
alone. He is both a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, and his Greatest Hits, Against The Wind, Night Moves, Stranger In
Town, Nine Tonight, and Live Bullet have been RIAA-certified for more than five million U.S. album sales each. The 1994 Greatest Hits collection was the
#1 best-selling catalog album in the U.S. during the past decade (2001-2009), as reported by Billboard/SoundScan.

Snipes and William Hutson did not expect to find an audience for their
abrasive brand of rap music. The project was initially a remix project, an
aside to the members' main occupations - Diggs is a stage actor, while Snipes
composes music for film, and Hutson is an established noise music artist
(Snipes and Hutson collaborated on the score to 2013s IFC documentary
Room 237). But, since the formation of clipping., the field of commercial
music enlarged ever so slightly, making room again for noisier, more adventurous
elements in electronic production (though clipping. insist they simply make
    rap music).

CLPPNG is a much more ambitious project than Midcity. The album features
guest verses from some of the band's strongest influences, including Gangsta
Boo (formerly of Three 6 Mafia, and currently of Da Mafia 6ix), Guce (longtime
Bay Area mainstay, member of Bullys Wit Fullys), King T (all-around West
Coast gangster rap legend, founder of the Likwit Crew, and mentor to Xzibit
and Tha Alkaholiks). For the first single from the album, "Work Work",
clipping. joined up with Cocc Pistol Cree, a newcomer from Compton best
known for her appearance on DJ Mustard's mixtape Ketchup, and her song
    'Lady Killa.'

CLPPNG stretches the band's experimental sounds to fit a wider emotional
range. Midcity had anger and aggression figured out, but CLPPNG fits the
group's harsh electronics to club tracks, a slow jams, songs to strip to, and
more. Relying heavily on musique-concrète techniques, the trio built many
of the tracks out of field recordings and acoustic sounds. The beat for "Tonight
(featuring Gangsta Boo)" evokes a nasty, late night encounter with its fleshy
slaps and squishy, biological noises, while "Dream" utilizes natural ambiences
    to create a bleary, hypnagogic mis-en-scène. But the band hasn't gone soft;
the album's intro is likely the most uncompromisingly brutal piece of music
they've yet recorded, and "Or Die (featuring Guce)" is as mean as anything
on Midcity. CLPPNG is an album that demonstrates the variety of sounds
available when the 'rules' of a genre are willfully questioned.

    Kiss: MTV Unplugged

Celebrating four decades of decibels, KISS, Mercury Records and UMe proudly announce reissuing the legendary KISS albums on 180g audiophile vinyl
starting in 2014. Remastered to high definition 192kHz/24-bit audio for maximum fidelity, these albums have never sounded so amazing and now
vinyl collectors will get what they've been demanding. All posters, sleeve art, stickers, etc that appeared in the original LP release where applicable have
been faithfully reproduced for the KISS Army.

On April 10, KISS will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - which will be broadcast in May -
and then will kick off a summer co-headlining tour with Def Leppard starting in June.

After sinking deep into this musical celebration, even the not-so-avid listener will surely know something more about Kiss, a classic rock icon of the '70s roaring back in vibrant and passionate form. This recording of a session done expressly for the program MTV Unplugged in 1996 brought together a special group for a remarkable, if unexpected, reunion. Throughout this record, you can feel the support and raw adoration of the audience present, certainly a mixture of long-time fans and new admirers. The members of Kiss got together to rock hard on their axes and crash big on the drums, bringing a renewed sense of freshness and excitement. Nearly rock & roll legends, they exceeded expectations and, given their newfound energy, charisma, and love for the music, their performance provided the catalyst for the beginning of a successful world reunion tour. Coming Home delivers a feverish and electric opening that gets the crowd on its feet in a hurry. Soon the emotion and presence of this group are brought back with startling grace and wisdom on Plaster Caster, and the beautiful acoustic medley Goin' Blind. The decades of Kiss, their costumes, and their wild stadium shows roll back in a heartbeat through the crashing tune Do You Love Me. Perhaps one of the most bewildering tunes that really reflects the image of Kiss is the rocking blues tune Domino. The crowd is really fired up now, next experiencing the charming and soulful power rock ballad Sure Know Something. A World Without Heroes is very subdued and reflective. Rock Bottom is delicate and mysterious in the opening seconds, with a lush minor harmony delivered picking style on the acoustic. Now it gets rough, expresses Stanley, grooving in a racy blues statement. See You Tonight is a romantic and pretty ballad delivered with sweetness, and the group sings, I'll see you tonight/And if I can't, I'll cry, I'll cry/I see you tonight, outside. Then on comes the darker resonance of the band with I Still Love You, expressing grave longing after a grueling breakup. I got to make you see, is a gripping line in a haunting bridge section, before the shouted, emotional, sometimes painful chorus: Girl, it seems the price I have of losing you/Will be my hell to pay/It makes me want to die/'Cause I still love you. The solo during the bridge is reminiscent of the chord structure of the Guess Who's Undun. After this painful, depressing song, new breath is found with Every Time I Look at You, a song of forgiveness, delivered with sincerity and the feeling of hope: Every time I hold you/The things I never told you seem to come easily/'Cause you're everything to me. The bridge is brilliant and seems to elevate the melody to a gratifying level, before breaking into a chilling guitar improv, layered over with a shimmering string orchestra. Beth is the most heartwarming song of Kiss' power ballads: Beth I know you're lonely/And I hope you'll be alright/'Cause me and the boys will be playing all night. Finally, a Kiss show wouldn't be complete without the ultimate party song, Rock and Roll All Night, a tune still electric without electric guitars.

    Shadows

From the Press Release:I felt very free going into making this album. It was a solo mission, on my terms, my time, my choices, says Lenka. Previously my music was focused on being uplifting and energizing. For this album, I shifted to create a lullaby soundtrack for myself, my child and everyone out there. I have always loved albums that one can fall asleep to; an experience I enjoyed a lot growing up. Those songs drift into your unconscious like no others.

Tracks like Nothing Here But Love, an unbridled paean to the power of love, and After the Winter, a celebration of spring and the hope it holds that features Tracy Bonham on violin, offer a welcome respite from a rattled world. Two Heartbeats is an ethereal slice of life written from the perspective of an unborn child (and features the in utero heartbeat of Lenka's son)
The album has is soothing moments, to be sure, but Shadows also grapples head-on with separation (Faster With You), loss (the heartbreaking Nothing) and the fears that keep young and old awake at night (Monsters). The Shadows are imprints and remnants of the big life stuff happening to me right now, she explains. I have been reflecting a lot as things change around me. Birth, death, love, regrets, innocence, dreams, independence, connection.

Lenka plays a variety of instruments throughout, including keyboards, wurli, glockenspiel and vibraphone, and recorded the album in New York, Montreal, Toronto and her hometown of Sydney.

In Australia, Lenka reunited with Tom Schutzinger, whom she had originally worked with when both were members of acclaimed Australian electronic/ambient band Decoder Ring. Schutzinger produced No Harm Tonight as well as Heart To The Party, a track he and Lenka co-wrote.

After leaving Decoder Ring and moving to the States, Lenka released her self-titled debut album in 2008. It entered Billboard's Heatseekers chart at #3 and contained The Show, a No. 1 single at radio in three countries that has had a very long life. It was the pivotal song in the 2011 film Moneyball and Billy Crystal sang The Show during his opening monologue for the 2012 Oscars. The Show has also been heard in promotional spots for Ugly Betty, Old Navy, Coca-Cola, Apple and Crate & Barrel commercials, and on Dancing With The Stars and Grey's Anatomy.

    Strangers Almanac

Whiskeytown, a highly acclaimed founding band of the alt-country/No Depression scene, launched the solo career of four-time Grammy®-nominated singer-songwriter-guitarist Ryan Adams as well as that of fiddler-singer-songwriter Caitlin Cary. Now the groups 1997 major label debut album, an overlooked gem from a band considered one of the genres most promising, is being released for the first time ever on vinyl.

1997's Strangers Almanac was Whiskeytown's major-label debut and the album that first introduced Ryan Adams to a wide audience, but at the same time it marked the beginning of the end for the group. When Whiskeytown went into the studio to record Strangers Almanac, the band had undergone the first of what would become a long line of personnel shakeups, and in addition to Ryan Adams, the only proper members of the group on hand for the sessions were violinist and vocalist Caitlin Cary and guitarist Phil Wandscher; session musicians filled out the lineup, while the new rhythm section, Jeff Rice (bass) and Steve Terry (drums), was hired only two weeks before recording began. Despite its chaotic creation, Strangers Almanac sounds stronger and more cohesive than its ragged but forceful indie predecessor, Faithless Street, and there's a deeper resonance in Ryan Adams' tales of wasted nights and wasted lives, such as Inn Town, Losering, and Dancing with the Women at the Bar. Strangers Almanac doesn't rock as hard as Whiskeytown's earlier material, but when the guitars kick into high gear on Yesterday's News and Waiting to Derail, it reveals just how good a match Ryan Adams and Wandscher were, and Excuse Me While I Break My Own Heart Tonight and 16 Days are as strong and moving as their country gestures got. Strangers Almanac captures Whiskeytown when they still had some business calling themselves a band rather than just Ryan Adams' backing musicians, and the glorious world-weariness of its best moments makes it a far more satisfying listen than most of what would follow once Ryan Adams struck out on his own.

    Nashville Skyline

Relaxed 1969 Album Soothes With Country Sounds and Amicable Simplicity

Hyper-Detailed 45RPM Version Allows You to Experience Dylan's All-Time Cleanest Vocal Performances Like Never Before: Soft, Smooth Croon a Dramatic Change from His Past

Songs Reflect Rustic Charm, Cozy Retreat, Idyllic Satisfaction

Includes Duet With Johnny Cash, Plus Lay Lady Lay and Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You

For an artist whose career is flush with enigma, myth, and disguise, Nashville Skyline still surprises more than almost any other Bob Dylan move more four decades after its original release. Distinguished from every other Dylan album by virtue of the smooth vocal performances and simple ease, the 1969 record witnesses the icon's full-on foray into country and trailblazing of the country-rock movement that followed. Cozy, charming, and warm, the rustic set remains for many hardcore fans the Bard's most enjoyable effort. And most inimitable. The result of quitting smoking, Dylan's voice is in pristine shape, nearly unidentifiable from the nasal wheeze and folk accents displayed on prior records.

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI, this restored 45RPM analog version zeroes in on the shocking purity and never-again-replicated croon of Dylan's vocals. Enhanced, too, are the images associated with the calmly strummed and picked acoustic guitars and decay connected to the fading notes. The dimensions and ambience of the Columbia studio translate via subtle echoes and natural blend of instruments melding with one another, akin to honey integrating with tea. Providing comparably soothing effects, relaxing vibes pour forth from this reissue, which affords this masterpiece the fidelity it's always deserved. Wider grooves mean more information reaches your ears.

"Is it rolling, Bob?," Dylan famously queries producer Bob Johnson at the beginning of "To Be Alone With You," indicating the laissez-faire feelings that surrounded the sessions and helped yield the laidback, convivial music defining the album-arguably the most unique in the artist's vast catalog. While he dipped his toes into country waters on the preceding John Wesley Harding, Nashville Skyline throws its collective arms around the style in bear-hug fashion and drops any obvious folk references. Everything from the songs' moods to the amicable arrangements reacts against the era's turmoil and popular sounds.

This beautiful and beautifully executed effort might stand as Dylan's most effective protest ever, even if many missed the point upon original release. Advocating peace, love, and old-world allure without calling attention to any characteristic in an overly forward manner, Dylan frames the songs as ballads, rags, lullabies, and gentle honky-tonk dances. He adheres to expeditious brevity, keeping the arrangements tight and free of any filler, thus allowing the melodies to immediately work their magic and place hummable memories inside listeners' heads.

Indeed, if any Dylan masterpiece is overlooked, it's Nashville Skyline. In addition to his superb singing and infallible songs, Dylan enjoys backing from a crackerjack assembly of Nashville session musicians including Charlie Daniels, Marshall Grant, W.S. Holland, Charlie McCoy, Ken Buttrey, and Norman Blake. Country pros, and their respective performances, don't come any better.

As much as on any of his records, Dylan resides in a good place, mentally and emotionally. The idyllic, warmhearted environs of Nashville Skyline stand apart now just as they did in the late 1960s. The sincerity conveyed on the inviting "Lay Lady Lay," relief sighed on the romantic "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You," and unlimited promise expressed on the jittery "To Be Alone With You" parallel the lessons-learned yearning and genuine desire found on "One More Night," bracing "I Threw It All Away," and eternal "Girl From the North Country," performed to perfection with Johnny Cash.

Offworld, Celldweller's fourth vocal-based studio album departs from the project's signature sound of aggressive guitars, blasting beats, and ass-kicking intensity and delivers a journey of sentimental feels and emotionally gripping tracks, showcasing the intimate songwriting side of project mastermind, Klayton.

The album's 10 tracks range from the soul searching How Little I Must Know, to the modern shoegazer Echoes, the somber a cappella Mother's Arms, to the acoustic guitar-driven The Great Divide, and the heavy, yet atmospheric vibe of The Last Night on Earth. The album begins and ends with the title track & reprise of Offworld, which gives the album a narrative backdrop as a sci-fi adventure of leaving the world behind - perhaps to explore a new one or join life on the other side, closing the album experience with a familiar Celldweller lyric... we will never die. The new set features Seger's tribute to Lou Reed, a rockin' cover of Reed's "Busload of Faith". Seger also includes tributes to his friend Glenn Frey, in the heartfelt self-penned "Glenn Song", and to Leonard Cohen with a timely cover of Cohen's "Democracy". Seger dedicates the album to the memory of Glenn Frey.

I KNEW YOU WHEN also features the reflective title track, uptempo rockers "The Highway", "Runaway Train", and "Blue Ridge", an ode to the history and beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, and the passionate guitar driven ballad, "I'll Remember You".

I KNEW YOU WHEN is Seger's first new studio album since his 2014 release RIDE OUT, which was Seger's highest charting debut entering Billboard's Top 200 Albums at #3 and Billboard's Rock Albums chart at #1.
