Freaks of Nature - the album that saved Kansas. After a seven-year dry spell of no new material, they hit with this thunderbolt in 1995! The bands 12th studio album. Amazing and refreshing, Freaks of Nature tantalizes all the senses, mainly due to the intensity of the music and the seriousness of the lyrics. All of its songs are strong, effective and fascinating. The darkness of this album is balanced by the pure emotion of the music. The frankness and honesty of the lyrics are a testament to the growth and healing that Steve Walsh was going through at the time. Ragsdale's intensity pulls the whole thing together.

    Freak Show

Green Vinyl - Limited to 1500

Remastered For Vinyl From 24bit Analogue And Lacquers Created By Kevin Gray

Freak Show is the second studio album from Australian rock band Silverchair. Freak Show was released on 3 February 1997. The album also gives listeners a glimpse into the band's experimental side, as can be heard in Petrol & Chlorine and Cemetery. Early vinyl pressings also included a precursor to Anthem for the Year 2000 entitled The Millennium Bug.

Silverchair began recording their second studio album, Freak Show, in May 1996 while experiencing the success of their debut album, Frogstomp, in Australia and the US. It was produced by Nick Launay (Birthday Party, Models, Midnight Oil) and was released in February 1997. The album reached number-one in Australia and yielded three Top 10 singles - Freak, Abuse Me, and Cemetery. Its fourth single, The Door, reached No. 25. The songs focused on the anger and backlash that the expectations of Frogstomp brought upon the band. Freak Show was certified gold in the US, 4× platinum in Australia and global sales eventually exceeded 1.5 million copies.

    Medicine Show #9 (Nittyville)

Unique silk screened artwork on every cover making each album one of a kind!

Originally launched as a one-a-month, 12-part series, Medicine Show #9 is the first to break the chronology.

Nittyville is also perhaps the most traditional of the series, and we make no bones about it: one MC, one producer, and a rap record all about stunts, blunts and hip-hop.

As for Channel 85, it is far off most dials. This albums concept TV station runs one show only: the comic-drama, reality-musical called Nittyville, featuring Frank, MED, Oh No, Madlib, and a supporting cast of extras.

The album is 14 tracks including 10 rap tracks, 4 interludes, and runs 43 minutes.

THE LIMITED EDITION 3LP VINYL will contain the album on 2 LPs and a 3rd disc of non-album tracks. The covers will be hand silk screened by Hit+Run with artwork from Gustavo Eandi and Jeff Jank, creating one- of-a-kind artwork on every sleeve.

    For True

Since the release of their Grammy-nominated 2010 debut album, Backatown, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue have grown creatively while winning hordes of new fans performing nonstop on five continents. Their new Verve Forecast album, For True, offers substantive proof of their explosive growth, further refining the signature sound Troy Trombone Shorty Andrews has dubbed Supafunkrock.

The band: Mike Ballard on bass, Pete Murano on guitar, Joey Peebles on drums, Dwayne Williams on percussion, Dan Oestreicher on baritone sax and Tim McFatter on tenor sax, stirs together old-school New Orleans jazz, funk and soul, laced with hard-rock power chords and hip-hop beats, and they've added some tangy new ingredients on For True as they keep pushing the envelope, exploring new musical territory.

Andrews wrote or co-wrote all 14 tracks on the new album, including collaborating with the legendary Lamont Dozier on Encore, while this time playing as much trumpet as trombone, as well as organ, drums, piano, keys, synth bass and percussion. Indeed, he played every part on the swaying, Latin-tinged Unc. He's also come into his own as a singer, honoring the hallowed legacy of the great soul men of the 1960s and '70s. Like its predecessor, the new album turns on a rare combination of virtuosity and high-energy, party-down intensity.

Among the special guests are longtime NOLA cohorts like Ivan and Cyril Neville (who bring their trademark sound to Nervis); Galactic's Ben Ellman, reprising his producer's role on Backatown (percussion on opener Buckjump, harmonica on Big 12) and Stanton Moore (drumming on Lagniappe Part 1 and Part 2); bounce rapper 5th Ward Weebie and the Rebirth Brass Band (who team up on Buckjump) and Troy's longtime friend Charles Smith (who adds percussion to the same track).

The album also bears the fruit of more recent relationships Lenny Kravitz (who plays bass on Roses), has the longest-standing bond with Andrews, discovering the then-teenage prodigy in 2005 and taking him on tour with his band. Kid Rock (whose vocal is featured on Mrs. Orleans) came out to see Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue at an outdoor show early this year in NOLA, and a month later Troy joined the star onstage at Jazz Fest.

Andrews played with Warren Haynes (whose eruptive solo further heats up Encore) at his annual benefit and again at the guitarist's Mahalia Jackson Theatre all-star event during this year's Jazz Fest. Ledisi (who sings on Then There Was You), met Troy at the 2010 Grammys, later came out to see him in New Orleans and was later featured in a segment for the landmark Red Hot + New Orleans at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, for which Andrews served as musical director. His relationship with Jeff Beck (check out his blistering solo on Do to Me) has also blossomed since the guitar legend came to Troy's late-night post-Jazz Fest show at Tipitina's in 2010.

Welcome Back, My Friends, To The Show That Never Ends - Ladies And Gentlemen

Welcome Back My Friends, To The Show That Never Ends - Ladies and Gentlemen is a 1974 live album by progressive rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer. This was the last ELP release for almost three years while the band took an extended break to recover and pursue some solo projects that eventually ended up on their next release Works Volume 1 in 1977.

The album was recorded during the 1973/1974 Someone Get Me a Ladder world tour. The title of the album comes from the introduction to the performance, itself a paraphrase of the opening line of the song Karn Evil 9: First Impression, Part 2. The welcome back my friends hook was also used by Alan Freeman on some of his radio shows.

    Bound For Glory

Previously unreleased early broadcast featuring rare versions of many early Springsteen hits!

April 1973 from The Main Point, Bryn Mawr, Philadelphia

By mid 1972 the rock landscape was looking decidedly dull. The search for a new Beatles or a new Dylan to re-unite the Woodstock generation and their younger siblings had come to nothing and the natives were getting restless. So when word began to filter through of new-kid-on-the-block Bruce Springsteen breaking out of home city Asbury Park, New Jersey, and playing shows nationwide that reconfirmed audiences faith in the redemptive power of rock n roll, hope began to restore. Bruce had signed a recording deal with Columbia in mid-72 and had been working on his debut record since. Greetings From Asbury Park saw the light of day in early 73, and within the week Springsteen, with a little help from three of the soon to be named East Street Band, were performing their first ever radio broadcast, aired on Boston's WBCN FM. A quite remarkable performance ensued with Bruce and the boys in excellent humour and fine form as they played a terrific set, although remarkably including just one cut from Greetings. The show was an intimate affair without an audience but gave listeners their first glimpse into Springsteen's infectious personality, enormous enthusiasm and unique sense of humour. It also drove home the message that here was an artist who could prove to be the new messiah, with songs that quite beggared belief. The second show featured on this LP is Bruce's very first broadcast from the Main Point venue in Bryn Mawr, just outside Philadelphia - the venue at which Bruce's most prestigious and highly regarded broadcast was made, the astonishing 1975 gig that has also recently been released. This April 1973 set differs widely from the January 73 show as the full band (drummer Vini Lopez joins proceedings) rock out, and comparisons with the largely acoustic Boston broadcast remain fascinating. That was pretty good, Bruce is heard to mutter as the final track of this broadcast draws to a close - providing the perfect understatement for the burgeoning talent heard maturing in these two broadcasts, and equally for the shows themselves, as just one listen to this remarkable LP will testify.

    Prayers For The Blessed

Rock luminaries SIXX:A.M. will release their fifth studio album Vol. 2: Prayers For The Blessed via Eleven Seven Music. Written and recorded at the same time as Vol. 1: Prayers For The Damned, which was released earlier this year, the album acts as a companion piece to the first chapter while simultaneously elevating the band's sound in every area.

From the outsider anthem We Will Not Go Quietly to the operatic show stopper Maybe It's Time to the groove-driven, radio-ready rocker That's Gonna Leave A Scar, Prayers For The Blessed displays the many sides of Sixx:A.M.'s sound, something that the band was able to develop by ramping up the amount of time they spent out on the road. We really found ourselves onstage and it's influencing the way we write, says Nikki Sixx. We started focusing on our music not only as songwriters and lyricists but also stayed conscious of what would transfer over live to the audience."

    For Long Tomorrow

For Long Tomorrow is the second full length album released by Japanese math rock band toe.

Toe is one of the few post-rock bands out there that's easy to listen to. The band's sound is quite distinctive compared to their Western counterparts, preferring clean guitar settings and some choice effects in almost all of their songs. Unlike well-known post-rock bands like Sigur Rós and Explosions In the Sky, Toe's music can be described as light and melodic, with rare instances of distortion and vocals. The Japanese band is comprised of Kashikura Takashi on drums, Mino Takaaki and Yamazaki Hirokazu on guitars, and Yamane Satoshi on bass.

So far, Toe has released two albums and a few EPs. Their first full-length album, The Book About My Idle Plot on a Vague Anxiety, was well received by both local and international fans. It can be described as dynamic and free, with Takashi's drums dominating the tracks. It was with this album that Toe established its distinct sound and song structure.

For Long Tomorrow's overall sound is similar to their debut, but there is promise in this more experimental second outing. Toe shows that they've matured musically, as demonstrated by their extensive use of the Rhodes piano, acoustic guitars, and minor vocals in their songs. Although they have introduced new elements to their music, much of Toe's style remains intact, from their clean and melodic guitar riffs to their upbeat drum patterns.

A noticeable change in this album is that Toe's drum beats have been toned down, blending into the band's overall sound. Despite this, Takashi's jazzy and upbeat drumming still has the same energy that was present in their previous album. The addition of samplers into solos or breaks provides texture to their songs. Takaaki and Hirokazu's guitar playing continuously moves from acoustic to electric, changing the feel of most of the songs.

The first few songs in For Long Tomorrow showcase the band's usual upbeat instrumental tracks. The second track, "Vanishing Point and Whistle," has a sound reminiscent of Toe's debut. Many listeners consider the vocals from "Say it Ain't So" to be forced and awkward sounding, but it's part of the band's move to expand their musicality.

"Two Moons" and "Goodbye" are two very captivating tracks. "Two Moons" has a mainly acoustic vibe, with a vibraphone part that makes it melodic and light. On "Goodbye," Japanese singer Toki Asako collaborates with Toe to create a pensive and moody song.

Other songs on the album ride on Takashi's beats, which are sometimes reminiscent of Toe's original groove. Many of these songs are structured with a slow intro, followed by repetition, finishing with a climax. Noticeably upbeat tracks are "You Go," "Can't Hear Mosquitone Anymore #2," and "Long Tomorrow."

Toe's second album may sound at times like an extension of their debut, but the level of experimentation in For Long Tomorrow provides the light, upbeat sound the band was looking for. If Toe continues to innovate and improve their music, they'll be crossing continents and gaining new fans soon.

Since its original release on LP in the mid-1950s, Fritz Reiner's rendition of the Concerto for Orchestra has stood as the standard against which all other recordings of the work are measured. Reiner's superb control of his orchestra and of Bartók's rhythms and textures is still unsurpassed, even by dozens of subsequent conductors in the digital age. Likewise, the Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celesta shows just what an incredible ensemble the Chicago Symphony was under Reiner's direction. The original 2-track session tapes were used in mastering for this LP.

    Fear Not For Man

Fear Not For Man was one of the first albums to be released by Fela following the sacking of his Kalakuta Republic compound by 1,000 soldiers on 18 February 1977. Fela, along with many other Kalakuta residents, was brutally beaten; his mother, then aged 77, was thrown out of a window, fracturing a leg.

The army set fire to the compound, destroying six Afrika 70 vehicles, all Fela's master tapes and band equipment, a four-track recording studio, and all the community members' personal belongings. It is doubtful, contrary to some sources, Fear Not For Man was recorded after the attack - doubt which is dispelled by neither the gruesome front sleeve design, showing blood flowing down Fela's face.

His response came later, on albums such as Unknown Soldier (1979) and Coffin For Head Of State (1980); Fela's practice of no longer performing a song live once he had released it on record is the reason for the two/three year gap between the attack and the release of these albums.

    For All Kings

    Blue Colored Vinyl

Eleven studio albums and 33 years into their career, and ANTHRAX is set to output quite possibly the best thing they've ever done. "For All Kings" pulls no punches. This is a seriously heavy and astonishingly good record.

2013 saw the departure of guitarist Rob Caggiano to Volbeat, and the arrival of Jon Donais from Shadows Fall, who also makes his recording debut with Anthrax. Joey Belladonna is far and away the star of this recording, and I'll tell you why. In a world where an organic instrument like a voice can deteriorate over time and change how it sounds can be devastating for someone who makes their living from it- I'm looking at you, David Lee Roth. It's very evident that Mr. Belladonna does not have such issues, as his delivery is just as powerful as it was 30 years ago. Charlie Benante's amazing drumming is another constant in Anthrax, as is Frank Bello's bass playing; always top-notch and inspired. Band leader, Scott Ian, has brought Anthrax an incredible distance, and really shows off his mature musicianship with the other guys with his superior songwriting, even contributing lyrics for the first single, "Evil Twin", which was loosely written about the terrorist attack on the Charlie Hebdo publication offices in 2015.

They began recording in late 2014 with producer Jay Ruston in Los Angeles, California. Reportedly 15-20 songs were recorded and completed. Early in 2015, We were treated with a new song, "Soror Irrumator" which was featured on the Catch The Throne Mixtape Volume Two, and was scheduled to appear on "For All Kings", but strangely, does not appear on the album, despite what the band had suggested. Alex Ross gets his third turn as album artist, as he depicts the band as giant statues.

Anthrax today, is not the Anthrax of 1987, and "For All Kings" is not "Among The Living", even though 4/5 of the band are still intact from their peak period. I say that in a good way, because as good as they were then, to put it simply, they're better now. Better songwriters, better musicians, seasoned bandmates that know that they're better together than apart. If you loved "Worship Music" as much as I did, you'll love this album. When you can be a band that has played together for well over 30 years and still put out quality music like "For All Kings", it's nothing short of magic.

    Interludes For The Dead

Circles Around The Sun (Neal Casal) was commissioned to compose and record over five hours of original music for the intermissions at the Fare Thee Well shows. There was such a positive response to the music that Rhino US will be releasing it!

    Scream For Me Sarajevo (Pre-Order)

    Release Date: June 29, 2018*

Sarajevo in 1994 was a city under siege. Mortars and grenades rained down on the city, killing indiscriminately every day. Amongst the madness, would it be possible to persuade a global rock star to come and play a show for local fans? Scream for Me Sarajevo is the soundtrack to the amazing and astonishing documentary film story of the most unlikely of rock concerts, performed by Bruce Dickinson and his band Skunkworks in 1994, in the midst of the Siege of Sarajevo. This is a film about extraordinary people defying the horrors of war, and the musicians who risked their lives to play a show for them.

Featuring footage from the historic gig, the film also meets those that made it to the show and made the show happen; determined to keep living their lives despite the atrocities going on around them. Interviews with the band, crew and security bring home the reality of the situation that was not only dangerous, it was barbaric. "We weren't protected, there was no plan and the bullets were real, but fuck it, we went anyway" said Bruce in his recent best-selling autobiography What Does This Button Do?, "The gig was immense, intense and probably the biggest show in the world at that moment for the audience and for us. That the world didn't really know didn't matter. It changed the way I viewed life, death and other human beings".

    New Hope For The Wretched

New Hope for the Wretched is the debut album by punk-metal band The Plasmatics, fronted by the infamous Wendy O. Williams. The front woman is also credited on the sleeve as playing the chainsaw and machine gun! A hint at how raucous and rowdy their live shows and albums were. This is some fast and furious Rock N' Roll, and Wendy O's gruff vocals perfectly compliment the music.

    For All Kings (Pink Vinyl)

    Pink Colored Vinyl

    Screaming For Vengeance (Awaiting Repress)

Screaming for Vengeance on Numbered Limited Edition LP from Mobile Fidelity Silver Label

Double-Platinum 1982 Blockbuster Remains Judas Priest's Most Commercially Successful LP

Includes Electric Eye, Screaming for Vengeance, You've Got Another Thing Comin'

Dual Magnesium-Burn Guitars, Leather-Tough Percussion, Molten-Hot Melodies Help Form Triangular Equilibrium of Speed, Accessibility, and Attitude

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's World-Renowned Mastering System and Pressed at RTI

You've got another thing comin'! Distinguished by dual magnesium-burn guitars, leather-tough percussion, molten-hot melodies, and the unmistakable piercing falsetto of operatic vocalist, Screaming for Vengeance became the soundtrack to millions of music lovers' lives in the early 1980s as Judas Priest continued to lay waste to its contemporaries' softer, cheesier hard-rock styles. An effort on which precision-based speed, mainstream accessibility, and resilient attitude meet in triangular equilibrium, the 1982 set remains the British metal legends' top-selling record.

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI, this Silver Series numbered limited edition LP shows off the grand intersection of daring adventure and commercial purpose achieved via ironclad production values and entrenched grooves. The latter particularly benefit from this analog pressing, as the group never overlooks the importance of rhythm and pace even when stoking tempos to engine-combusting levels. Leagues ahead of the sonics gracing its peers' albums from the time, the sense of balance, separation, and realism is on par with that of big-budget rock creations.

Staked by the breakout "You've Got Another Thing Comin'," which burns white-hot with foot-pounding riffs, prize-fighting percussion, and singer Rob Halford's gun-for-hire blare, Screaming for Vengeance clutches hold of the jugular and doesn't let go. A return to the band's gritty, purist roots, the record revisits the themes of darkness, menace, and the unknown firmly established on the pioneering Stained Class and Killing Machine. Along with those albums, and British Steel, Screaming for Vengeance is the template for the catchy albeit uncompromisingly heavy crossover success Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax enjoyed years later.

With the one-two opening tandem of the instrumental "The Hellion" and stomping "Electric Eye," overseen by Halford as if he's embodying the persona of a wicked James Bond villain, Priest sounds utterly futuristic and terrifying, the instruments seemingly on a swivel and the sawed-off tones flooding the guitar solos with intimidation. A classic head-out-to-the highway anthem ("Riding on the Wind"), a racing proto-thrash banger ("Screaming for Vengeance"), and a scorching exorcism ("Devil's Child") function as the metal-hued bolts that hold the foundations of this Top 20-charting benchmark in place.

Perhaps more so here than on any other record, Priest spit-shines hooks and collusive six-string harmonic leads to perfection, giving listeners ying-yang doses of pain and pleasure, sweet and bitter. Songs at once invite sing-a-longs and fist-pumping responses. Screaming for Vengeance marked the last time Priest would sound this heavy in the 80s. No wonder it was voted the 12th best metal album of all time in Martin Popoff's definitive book of the same name.

Remastering and lacquer cutting by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound from the original 3-track tapes

200-gram pressing by Quality Record Pressings!

Little did any of us who were involved in the planning and recording of Music for Bang, Baaroom and Harp know, back in 1958, what an impact this album would have on the record industry and how it would effect my career, writes Dick Schory, about the audiophile instrumental classic, the first stereophonic recording in the industry to be classified a Best Seller.

Now, revel in the enhanced clarity and sonic richness of a 200-gram pressing by Quality Record Pressings, and remastering and lacquer cutting by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound, giving this classic a fresh, vibrant appeal. The superb remastering from the original 3-track master tapes brings out subtleties of the instruments, arrangements, performance and ambiance of Chicago's Orchestra Hall lacking from the original pressing and subsequent versions.
    >[?
The concept for this album is simple: Dozens of standard and exotic percussive instruments (re: manifold from a 1946 Chevrolet) were employed in original and standard tunes arranged by Schory, Bobby Christian, Mike Simpson, Willis Charkovsky and Skitch Henderson, who at the time was musical director for NBC's Tonight Show. Three tracks are of particular note: the quirky Tiddley Winks and the exotic Baia and Typee. The jacket, depicting Schory poking out from a pile of instruments, is a classic of LP art.

The recording, utilizing RCA Victor Record's Red Seal Classical Division's equipment - the same used to record the Chicago, Philadelphia and Boston Symphony orchestras at the time - was recorded in Chicago's Orchestra Hall on June 2 and 3, 1958. Two custom Ampex 300-3 half-inch 3-track tape recorders, running at 15 and 30 inches a second, captured the performances by eight percussionists together with other performers from the Chicago Symphony on piano, string bass, guitar, banjo and harp.

The Evening Visits...And Stays For Years

Born of the small but vibrant Brisbane punk/new wave scene of the late Seventies, Peter
Milton Walsh began to cultivate the mysterious, moody myth that would follow him through
out his career that has taken him around the world. But before setting out abraod, Walsh
certainly made his mark on the Brisbaine scene. His band, The Apartments, formed in 1978
and spent the next year playing ample amounts of shows around Brisbaine. With a reputation
that preceeded him, Walsh was saught out by Robert Forster and Grant McLennan,
members of one of Brisbaine's most noteworthy bands, The Go-Betweens. Having been
offered an 8 album deal by Beserkly Records, Forster and McLennon asked Walsh to join
The Go-Betweens as their fourth member in late 1978. The union was, however, short lived.
There were personality differences, which led McLennon to famously say "Walsh is night, we
are day. We're sun, he's rain.".

After the deal with Beserkly fell through, Walsh returned to The Apartments, leaving The
Go-Betweens as a three piece. They went on to affectionately write a song for Walsh,
entitled "Don't Let Him Come Back", which included the line "Here he comes, with his twelve
o'clock junk...who's that dressed in black? Who's that in his apartment?". Things weren't sour
between the two bands and The Apartments recorded their first EP, "Return of the Hypnotist"
on The Go-Between's Able Label. But before the EP was even released, The Apartments
broke up and Walsh left for New York City. During his time in NYC, Walsh played
mustic with a number of bands and recorded many songs that would serve as demos for
future releases for the still defunct Apartments.

Returning to Australia in 1984, Walsh got the band back together and recorded a few
singles, including "All You Wanted". All the while the band were also recording demos, which
led to a record deal with London's legendary Rough Trade Records, prompting Walsh to
move to London. It was there that he recorded his first proper LP, "The Evening Visits... And
Stays for Years". The album received strong praise and drew comparisons to a wide range of
acts such as Cocteau Twins, Nick Drake and Bob Dylan. The NME said of the record ""after
whetting our appetites with last year's classic import single 'All You Wanted' The Apartments
have stunned us to a reverential silence. This album is a pure heart-wrencher, and should
only be listened to after dark.".

Although The Apartments and Walsh continued to tour and record with a variety of line ups,
it is these early works that provide a definitive look at their sound. Available all together
for the first time, Captured Tracks are pleased to present "The Evening Visits... And Stays for
Years" along with "The Return of the Hypnotist", the "All You Wanted" single and a collection
of demos from "The Evening Visits...". Complete with liner notes by Robert Forster and Walsh
himself, this increadible collection of Walsh's first seven years of recordings is not to be missed.

...And Justice For Y'all (Awaiting Repress)

The South will smoke again. The Bible Belt state of North Carolina, USA seems a fertile ground for hemp and stoner rock. When cult sludge act BUZZOV•EN called it a day, bass player Dave Dixie Collins teamed up with guitarist Dave Shep Shepherd and founded WEEDEATER in the harbor town of Wilmington about the year 1998. Their crushing and massive first full-length and Justice for Y'all created an immediate buzz, while critics were struggling to put a tag on their sound. Nearly everybody agreed that stoner rock, doom, sludge and some crusty elements were part of the mix, which the band simply calls weed metal. The debut was produced by renowned engineer Billy Anderson (EYEHATEGOD, NEUROSIS) as well as sophomore album Sixteen Tons (2002). WEEDEATER went out to perform live with CORROSION OF CONFORMITY and ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY among others. After some detours of Dixie Dave, who played shortly with BONGZILLA and SOURVEIN, the third album God Luck and Good Speed hit the world in 2007 and shifted the band's focus slightly towards the stoner side. The latest full-length Jason the Dragon got delayed when guitarist Shep lost a toe due to an incident with his favourite shotgun. When the sludge driven album finally came out in 2011 shows in the US and Europe cemented the band's reputation as a fierce live entity. For the next release WEEDEATER have signed up with Season of Mist, which will reissue the complete back catalogue. Remastered and presented with its original artwork, And Justice for Y'all will also be available on vinyl for the first time. Time to lean back and get high on this WEEDEATER cult classic!
