    The Memory Of Trees

The Memory of Trees is the fourth studio album by Irish musician Enya, originally released in 1995 on WEA Records. Four years after the release of her previous album, Shepherd Moons, Enya began work on a new album with lyricist Roma Ryan and arranger and producer Nicky Ryan.

The Memory of Trees continued Enya's commercial success in the 1990s, reaching No. 5 in the UK and No. 9 in the US, where it went on to sell over 3 million copies. Two singles were released, Anywhere Is and On My Way Home. In 1997, the album won a Grammy Award for Best New Age Album.

    Some Girls Wander By Mistake

SOME GIRLS WANDER BY MISTAKE, a title taken from a Leonard Cohen lyric, and the title for the album that comprises the earliest days of The Sisters of Mercy's career, before signing to WEA in 1984. Featuring everything from their very first single, 1980's 'The Damage Done', debuted on the band's own Merciful Release label, through their early indie rise to cult acclaim with 'Alice', 'Temple of Love' and The Reptile House EP.

Continuing the series of 'era' box set releases, we will be compiling these Merciful Release recordings into the 'Some Girls Wander By Mistake' box for release this September; featuring the original album, on 180g double LP, plus two 12 singles taken from that era Temple of Love (1992) and Under the Gun. The 12 EPs will also include the 1992 version of 'Temple Of Love' featuring Ofra Haza, the Canadian Club Mix of 'Vision Thing' (their final official recording), 'Under The Gun' featuring Terri Nunn of Berlin fame plus a 1993, re-recorded version of 1982's 'Alice'.

    Celebration Day

On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin took the stage at London's O2 Arena to headline a tribute concert for dear friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. What followed was a two-hour-plus tour de force of the band's signature blues-infused rock 'n' roll that instantly became part of the legend of Led Zeppelin. Founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, to perform 16 songs from their celebrated catalog including landmark tracks "Whole Lotta Love," "Rock And Roll," "Kashmir," and "Stairway To Heaven."

    Holy Fire

It's all a long way from the group's early years in Oxford, where Yannis Philippakis (26), Jack Bevan (27), Walter Gervers (28), Edwin Congreave (28) and Jimmy Smith (28) convened after spells in various well regarded bands such as The Edmund Fitzgerald, whose intricacies were a league away from the Libertines-influenced indie skiffle and American garage rock that dominated at the time.

Debut album Antidotes (2004) attempted to capture the live energy and sense of spontaneity that had made Foals one of the most sought-after live acts in the UK. 2007 follow-up Total Life Forever was a surprise to many (Foals never sit still for long) dealing in more expansive, eloquent sounds and a more mellow feel inspired in part by Foals' long-time enthusiasm for weed. Now, as they approach their 30s, Foals are moving on from the kind of lost boys club element to how we've lived for the past six years to make their best music yet.

    The Wild Feathers

The Wild Feathers are a truly American band: their music takes elements of the best of rock, country, folk and blues music and reshapes it in a way that is both unique and modern.

Ricky Young, Joel King, Taylor Burns, Preston Wimberly and Ben Dumas grew up steeped in music; playing solo gigs, touring with local bands and working at venues. The guys came together in Austin in 2010 through coincidence, mutual friends, and a shared love of the classics: Petty, Dylan, Cash, The
Band, Allman Bros, Graham Parsons and Neil Young. The young band spent the next year writing and defining their sound before heading into the studio to record with producer Jay Joyce (Cage the Elephant, Emmylou Harris).

Four equally talented songwriters have created a body with no weak points and four hearts, each as irreplaceable as the next. Their debut album The Wild Feathers...is full of powerful harmonies, country twang, breezy melodies and lots of guitar. - FILTER

    Led Zeppelin III

Remastered from the Original Master Tapes by Jimmy Page and Pressed at Pallas In Germany

On their first two albums, Led Zeppelin unleashed a relentless barrage of heavy blues and rockabilly riffs, but Led Zeppelin III provided the band with the necessary room to grow musically. While there are still a handful of metallic rockers, III is built on a folky, acoustic foundation that gives the music extra depth. And even the rockers aren't as straightforward as before: the galloping Immigrant Song is powered by Robert Plant's banshee wail, Celebration Day turns blues-rock inside out with a warped slide guitar riff, and Out on the Tiles lumbers along with a tricky, multi-part riff. Nevertheless, the heart of the album lies on the second side, when the band delve deeply into English folk. Gallows Pole updates a traditional tune with a menacing flair, and Bron-Y-Aur Stomp is an infectious acoustic romp, while That's the Way and Tangerine are shimmering songs with graceful country flourishes. The band hasn't left the blues behind, but the twisted bottleneck blues of Hats off to (Roy) Harper actually outstrips the epic Since I've Been Loving You, which is the only time Zeppelin sound a bit set in their ways.

Remastered from the Original Master Tapes by Jimmy Page and Pressed at Pallas In Germany

Recorded quickly during Led Zeppelin's first American tours, Led Zeppelin II provided the blueprint for all the heavy metal bands that followed it. Since the group could only enter the studio for brief amounts of time, most of the songs that compose II are reworked blues and rock & roll standards that the band was performing on-stage at the time. Not only did the short amount of time result in a lack of original material, it made the sound more direct. Jimmy Page still provided layers of guitar overdubs, but the overall sound of the album is heavy and hard, brutal and direct. Whole Lotta Love, The Lemon Song, and Bring It on Home are all based on classic blues songs -- only, the riffs are simpler and louder and each song has an extended section for instrumental solos. Of the remaining six songs, two sport light acoustic touches (Thank You, Ramble On), but the other four are straight-ahead heavy rock that follows the formula of the revamped blues songs. While Led Zeppelin II doesn't have the eclecticism of the group's debut, it's arguably more influential. After all, nearly every one of the hundreds of Zeppelin imitators used this record, with its lack of dynamics and its pummeling riffs, as a blueprint.

Led Zeppelin had a fully formed, distinctive sound from the outset, as their eponymous debut illustrates. Taking the heavy, distorted electric blues of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Cream to an extreme, Zeppelin created a majestic, powerful brand of guitar rock constructed around simple, memorable riffs and lumbering rhythms. But the key to the group's attack was subtlety: it wasn't just an onslaught of guitar noise, it was shaded and textured, filled with alternating dynamics and tempos. As Led Zeppelin proves, the group was capable of such multi-layered music from the start. Although the extended psychedelic blues of Dazed and Confused, You Shook Me, and I Can't Quit You Baby often gather the most attention, the remainder of the album is a better indication of what would come later. Babe I'm Gonna Leave You shifts from folky verses to pummeling choruses; Good Times Bad Times and How Many More Times have groovy, bluesy shuffles; Your Time Is Gonna Come is an anthemic hard rocker; Black Mountain Side is pure English folk; and Communication Breakdown is a frenzied rocker with a nearly punkish attack. Although the album isn't as varied as some of their later efforts, it nevertheless marked a significant turning point in the evolution of hard rock and heavy metal.

    GP

    Fleetwood Mac Greatest Hits

Greatest Hits is a 1988 compilation album by British-American band Fleetwood Mac. It covers the period of the band's greatest commercial success, from the mid-1970s to the late 1980s.
The Fleetwood Mac of 1970, before Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined the group, was primarily a British blues band. These songs, recorded after the departure of band leader Peter Green and the release of their fourth album, Kiln House show a broadening of the band's use of blues into other contexts with new musical influences. Fleetwood Mac continues today as one of the most enduring and successful rock bands in history.

    Grievous Angel

Gram Parsons pioneered the concept of a rock band playing country music, playing in bands such as The Byrds, The International Submarine Band and The Flying Burrito Brothers. His work has influenced both country and rock artists such as The Rolling Stones and Linda Ronstadt by blending the two genres to the point that they became indistinguishable from each other.

Compiled from 1973 studio sessions 'Grievous Angel' was originally released in 1974, four months after the songwriters death. It was the second solo album from Gram Parsons and is viewed as a successful example of the hybrid between country androck and rollParsons called Cosmic American Music. In 2003 it was ranked in Rolling Stone magazine's 500 greatest albums of all time.

    Missing...Presumed Having a Good Time

Missing...Presumed Having a Good Time by The Notting Hillbillies is a studio album originally released in 1990 by Warner Bros. Records in the United States. The result is a low-key, joyous run-through of mostly traditional, blues-based songs with a handful of originals.

In 1990 Missing...Presumed Having a Good Time peaked at 52 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

After the mega-platinum success of Dire Straits' 1984 Brothers in Arms LP, the group's frontman, guitarist extraordinaire Mark Knopfler, opted to temporarily shift gears by forming the Notting Hillbillies, a one-off country side project. Among the band's first recruits was Steve Phillips, a fellow guitar player whom Knopflerhad first met in Yorkshire in 1968. Soon, the two aspiring journalists formed the two-man Duolian String Pickers.

    The Voyager

Celebrated California singer songwriter Jenny Lewis returns with The Voyager, which will be released by Warner Bros. Records. This is the former Rilo Kiley frontwoman's third solo album and first in six years, following 2006's Rabbit Fur Coat (with The Watson Twins) and 2008's Acid Tongue.

The Voyager is Lewis' most deeply personal album to date, documenting her struggle to cope following the death of her estranged father in 2010 and the subsequent break-up of Rilo Kiley. The Voyager's rootsy, golden glow comes courtesy of Lewis and the artists she chose to produce various tracks, including Ryan Adams (who, alongside Mike Viola, produced all but three of the tracks), Beck, and Lewis' longtime collaborator Johnathan Rice. The Voyager finds the always relatable songwriter at her sharp-witted best, singing about her recent experiences with honesty and incisiveness.

    Musik, Die Schwer zu Twerk

Electric Wurms, is a prog-rock side project featuring THE FLAMING LIPS multi-instrumentalist Steven Drozd on vocals, guitars, and keyboards and front man Wayne Coyne on bass and backed by Nashville psychedelic rock band Linear Downfall.

A six-song album on Warner Bros. Records. Musik, Die Shwer Zu Twerk, will transport the listener into a new kind of transcendental orbit than one might expect from THE LIPS alone. Instead, these six velvety compositions appear to be harvested from a higher bardo plane of sound yet maintain a pleasantly familiar rock "experience" associated with The Lipsian oeuvre.

The first single from Musik, Die Shwer Zu Twerk, is a cover of British prog-rock band Yes' "Heart of The Sunrise."

    The Golden Echo

Kimbra is a New Zealand recording artist whose unique musical style draws from many different genres, often blending more modern electropop and R&B with classic jazz and soul musical elements. In 2013, Kimbra won 2 Grammys for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song Somebody That I Used To Know with Gotye.

The Golden Echo is the second album by Kimbra. The ultimate modern pop record, The Golden Echo is ambitious, sophisticated, and complex, just like its creator. The New Zealand-born singer and songwriter wrote the songs in her bedroom studio on a farm in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, where she was surrounded by sheep and lambs owned by her landlady. The album is produced by Rich Costey and features several special guest artists, including Muse's Matt Bellamy, rapper Flying Lotus and singer John Legend.

    Royal Blood

Featuring their two singles to date - 'Little Monster' and 'Come On Over' - the album is a mixture of anguished vocals, ferocious drumming and bass that provides intricate detail as well as a rumble of rhythm. Royal Blood are the result of a lineage that stretches from present day heroes Queens of the Stone Age to Led Zeppelin, and all the way back to early blues pioneers. Their ferocious attack is the result of just two men - vocalist/bassist Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher.

The album's striking cover art was provided by Dan Hillier, an artist who is acclaimed for his black line work, combining Victorian sensibilities with a fascination for animal and landscape attributes with leanings towards the esoteric.
