FragileFragile is the fourth studio album from the English progressive rock band Yes, originally released in 1971 on Atlantic Records. It is their first album recorded with keyboardist Rick Wakeman in the band's line-up after Tony Kaye was fired for having a lack of interest in learning more electronic keyboards. Formed of nine tracks, four are group performances while the remaining five are solo features written by each member. Its cover was designed by Roger Dean, who would design their future band logo, stage sets, and many of their future album covers.
Fragile received a positive reception upon its release and was a commercial and critical success, reaching No. 4 on the US Billboard Top LPs chart and No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart. Roundabout was released as a single in the US which reached No. 13 and is one of the band's best known songs. The LadderThe Ladder is a synthesis of the best traits of the experimental Fragile era and the pop-oriented 90125 era. Producer Bruce Fairbairn completed The Ladder shortly before his death in 1999, and unlike some of his work with Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Kiss, and others, he didn't overproduce it. Vocalist Jon Anderson, lead guitarist Steve Howe, and bass guitarist Chris Squire all have fine moments, and drummer Alan White is consistent. The roles of keyboardist Igor Khoroshev and, in particular, guitarist Billy Sherwood are less clear. It occasionally seems the purpose of Khoroshev's keyboards is providing a variety of sonic textures instead of functioning as a lead instrument. Sherwood's second guitar tends to flesh out the sound. Homeworld (The Ladder) is a tight band performance, but the supple vocals/acoustic guitar/piano coda is the best part. Howe's bouncy acoustic guitar drives Lightning Strikes, yet the biggest surprise is the addition of a horn section. The energetic Face to Face is the strongest track, and Squire lets loose with a sputtering bassline. If Only You Knew is a sweet, straightforward love song Anderson wrote for his wife. The Messenger has a smooth, funky feel -- a remarkable feat considering prog rock is usually considered the whitest rock genre. New Language is the best long song on The Ladder, thanks to a clever arrangement giving all six members an opportunity to demonstrate their talents.1. Homeworld (The Ladder)

In The City Of AngelsIn The City of Angels is the fifth solo album by Yes front man Jon Anderson, released in 1988. Consequently this is a straight-ahead commercial pop album and features fine musicianship from Jeff Pocaro, Steve Luthaker and Mike Pocaro, and produced by Stewart Levine. Topographic Drama - Live Across AmericaIn the Summer of 2016, YES embarked upon an ambitious tour. At each show, the band performed its 1980 album 'Drama' in its entirety - for the first time ever - plus sides one and four from YES' 1973 double-album 'Tales From Topographic Oceans' (their first number one album), together with fan favourites like 'Roundabout' and 'Starship Trooper'.
Rhino salutes the influential progressive rockers - who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year - with the new live album, TOPOGRAPHIC DRAMA - LIVE ACROSS AMERICA. The music will be available as a Triple-LP. The release features detailed cover art designed by the band's longtime collaborator Roger Dean.
The new collection features live performances from 12 dates recorded on the tour in February 2017, by the current Yes line-up: Steve Howe (guitars), Alan White (drums), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Billy Sherwood (bass), Jon Davison (vocals), and additional drummer for this tour Jay Schellen.
TOPOGRAPHIC DRAMA - LIVE ACROSS AMERICA highlights the best performances from the 2017 leg of the 12-show tour and mirrors the set list from those concerts. Each night, Yes opened with all six songs from Drama (1980), the band's tenth studio album, which peaked at No.2 on the U.K. Album Chart. Standouts include 'Machine Messiah', 'Tempus Fugit' and the album's only single 'Into The Lens'.
After 'Drama', the band shifted gears for songs from two of its best-selling albums: 'And You And I' from 1972's 'Close To The Edge' (UK Platinum) and 'Heart Of The Sunrise' from 1971's 'Fragile' (UK Platinum).
Next, the group played the opening and closing tracks of its concept album, 'Tales From Topographic Oceans' (1973). Howe's exceptional guitar work on 'The Revealing Science Of God' and White's propulsive drumming on 'Ritual' have always been regarded as ground-breaking. The album concludes with two live staples: 'Roundabout' from 'Fragile' (1971) and 'Starship Trooper' from 'The Yes Album' (1971).
Among the world's most influential, ground-breaking, and respected progressive rock bands, YES was founded in 1968. The Grammy-Award® winning recording artists have sold more than 50 million records in a career that has so far spanned six decades.LP 1

Love SwingsNumbered Limited Edition
1961 Album of Standards Established Darin As A Sophisticated Singer
Concept Effort Divided Into Halves That Explore the Emotional Gamut of Romance: One Side Upbeat, the Other Heartbreaking
Mastered on Mobile Fidelitys World-Renowned Mastering System and Pressed at RTI (Best Record Plant in America): Darins Voice, Torrie Zitos Orchestral Arrangements Set Up Shop In Your Listening Room
Bobby Darin didnt want to be simply known as the singer that scored the novelty hit Splish Splash. Determined to be recognized as a top-tier vocalist on par with the likes of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, the Bronx native set out to put an authoritative stamp on pop standards. And did just that with Love Swings. Divided into two conceptual halves, the 1961 masterpiece is the singers defining statement, a splendidly effective and smartly performed record that addresses the wild emotional fluctuations associated with romance and finds Darin nailing every note.
Mastered on Mobile Fidelitys world-renowned mastering system and pressed at RTI (the best record plant in North America), Silver Label numbered limited edition LP presents Darins buoyant album with all the brassiness, boldness, and lushness any fan of vocal pop music would ever want. His voice is transparent and immediate, the diversified instrumental arrangements are placed in sharp relief, the songs replete with airiness, warmth, and the sough-after breath of life. The sound is so good that this somewhat-forgotten LP should now finally gain the recognition its long deserved.
Yes, love swings, but like a pendulum: back and forth, state the records liner notes, explaining the concept behind a set that is split into two thematically connected halves. On the first side, Darin delves into the giddy feelings and incredible happiness associated with romances first bloom. Infatuation, devotion, and gaiety take hold, Darin conveying every ounce of joy and pleasure tied to gliding, uptempo staples such as Rodgers and Harts I Didnt Know What Time It Was and the lounge-bound sway of Long Ago (And Far Away). Darins voice, and his ebullient support band (conducted by Torrie Zito), epitomize glee, delight, and bliss.
On the flip side, Darin, ever the realist and proving himself capable of sophisticated material, probes loves disillusions and heartache with incredible panache. The pace slows, the mood darkens, and the lights dim. Zitos orchestrations embrace denser, more poignant tones, and Darin delivers sad, aching tunes like In Love In Vain and Something to Remember You By with stunning realism and haunting impact. Its as cohesive of a vocal performance as youll hear from the era, a journey that takes you from the highs to the lows, and everything in between.
Yes, the human voice is the most difficult element to accurately reproduce on record. Yet Mobile Fidelitys Silver Label LP does wonders with this Darin classic, opening up the highs, clearing out a previously foggy midrange, and, as importantly, restoring to print in analog a vocal tour de force. Unavailable on vinyl for eons, Love Swings demands to be heard on this sumptuously remastered LP, which runs circles around its digital brethren.

It was during the 1990s that Yes underwent one of its not infrequent periods of revolutionary change. Although it might appear unusual to the outside world, the idea of constantly re-moulding the Yes concept ensures the band remains a dynamic force. One result of such upheaval was the creation of Talk, the 1994 album regarded by many critics as their most powerful and intriguing pieces of work. It certainly represents 'a journey into the unknown' - as the album's producer, the multi-talented Trevor Rabin, describes it.
After the Union tour it was decided that Yes would carry on with Trevor Rabin, Jon Anderson, Tony Kaye and Alan White. Their plan was to record a new album produced by Trevor, which evolved into Talk. Trevor and Jon wrote all the music and lyrics. The aim was to tackle the challenges of the computer age. However, as can be heard on this welcome LP reissue, many of the traditional Yes qualities remain, including the use of acoustic guitar, vocal harmonies and a touch of the traditional Hammond organ sound.
In the aftermath of Talk, Yes was reborn with Jon, Chris, Steve Howe and Alan White back together. A succession of splendid new albums followed, including Open Your Eyes (1997) and The Ladder (1999). During 2001 the band embarked on a Yes Symphonic tour.LP1

Tales From Topographic OceansTales from Topographic Oceans is the sixth studio album from the English rock band Yes, originally released as a double album on 7 December 1973 by Atlantic Records.
Yes is among the longest lasting and most successful of the '70s progressive rock groups, proving to be one of the lasting success stories from that musical genre. The band, founded in 1968, overcame a generational shift in its audience and the departure of its most visible members at key points in its history to reach the end of the century as the definitive progressive rock band. Where rivals such as Emerson, Lake & Palmer withered away commercially after the mid-'70s, and Genesis and King Crimson altered their sounds so radically as to become unrecognizable to their original fans, Yes retained the same sound, and performed much of the same repertoire that they were doing in 1971, and for their trouble, found themselves being taken seriously a quarter of a century later. Their audience remained huge because they had always attracted younger listeners drawn to their mix of daunting virtuosity, cosmic (often mystical) lyrics, complex musical textures, and powerful yet delicate lead vocals.1. Robin Trower Live!
The Robin Trower/Friday Music 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl Series Continues
Celebrating His Legendary Live Album
First Time 180 Gram Audiophile Release!
Mastered From The Original Chrysalis Records Tapes By Joe Reagoso
Whenever Robin Trower releases an album, it's always a musical event.
As the fourth in a stunning flow of multifaceted career defining albums, the
legendary British guitarist (co-founder of Procol Harum) unleashed one of the
most popular albums in his ever enduring catalog with 1976's Robin Trower
Recorded absolutely live in Stockholm, this masterwork unites the guitar
hero with his powerful team of world class musicians, the late great James
Dewar on simmering lead vocals & bass and the powerful drum work of Bill
Lordan. The brilliant guitar shredder and his amazing band truly throw down
some of his classiest and hardest drivin,g best known repertoire for this Robin
Trower, produced by Geoff Emerick (Pink Floyd/ Beatles).
The album begins with his best known rocker, Too Rolling Stoned. The tune
finds Robin Trower and James Dewar dueling on some very solid power riffs,
making this the ultimate opening track for the listener.
The soulful, hypnotic vibe of Daydream has the tremendous voicing of
Robin's guitar with Bill Lordan's fine percussive elements and James' signature
vocal work throughout.
Always an astute bluesman, Robin Trower's interpretation of B.B.King's
classic Rock Me Baby retains a solid groove which allows the progressive
guitarist to power away with some very intricate fret work, making this album the
classic that it is.

Yes (1969) is considered among the first progressive Rock albums. The original line-up of vocalist Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye, and drummer Bill Bruford remained intact for the album's recording.
In an era when psychedelic meanderings were the order of the day, Yes delivered a surprisingly focused and exciting record that covered lots of bases in presenting their sound. The album opens boldly, with the fervor of a metal band of the era playing full tilt on Beyond and Before, but it is with the second number, a cover of the Byrds' I See You, that they show some of their real range. The song is highlighted by an extraordinary jazz workout from lead guitarist Peter Banks and drummer Bill Bruford that runs circles around the original by Roger McGuinn and company.
We've included a bonus LP to the original package, with early versions of other songs, previously not included on the album. With remastered audio and augmented by a 4-page booklet, this is an essential Prog collector's item!LP1

UnionUnion is the thirteenth album made by progressive Rock band Yes. This was their last release featuring all members of the new line-up (Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Trevor Rabin, Alan White and Tony Kaye) and the ex-Yes members group (Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman and Steve Howe), hence the name Union. Incredibly enough during the process of recording the album, all eight members do not play together at once.
The album reached #7 in the UK Album charts and #15 in the US Album charts spawning three singlesLift Me Up, Saving My Heart and I Would Have Waited Forever.
In 1992 the eight man band supported the release with a world tour after which Bruford, Wakeman and Howe left the band for good.1. I Would Have Waited Forever
